Young staff members were rather disdainful; older staff member was very courteous and helpful.

Positives: Comfortable, well-located and pretty.

Negatives: $26.00 surprise cost for parking right outside the room. This was not in a city, and not the high season of Aspen.

I love this place. Thank you for being a fun place instead of one of the many uptight hotels in town.

Positives: I love everything. Such a fun place!

Negatives: Nothing.

Nice place to visit during the off season. Downtown Aspen and close to everything an outdoors person would want to do. Parking was a pain but had to valet park when the hotel had plenty of spaces to park in. Also parking was an extra cost, that was not expected in the off season and an empty hotel and city.

Positives: The hot tub was very nice.

Negatives: The valet parking was a pain in the butt, cost a lot and took a long time for someone to get our car.

This hotel hold up to the Kempton image. Great place to find a young and vibrant crowed ready to have fun. Location is perfect for all Aspen activities. Hotel staff were very helpful on all levels of service. Overall experience was great.

Positives: Very trendy, catering to a younger crowed.

Negatives: The white head boards were not as white as they could have been. Looks nice except for stains.

I really enjoyed the outdoor common areas by the pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not a big fan of modern art, so I can't be a good judge of the decor. Even though it was top quality.

Positives: Location and staff made this a great place to stay.

Negatives: Some of the decor was a little strange.

This hotel had a weird garish look, trying to be hip for young skier, which is who it's for and should be for. The front lobby was shabby and uncomfortable; the bar was not pretty or comfortable (although the youngsters had a great time in there). It was hard to see from the street and thus not easy to find.

Positives: Wonderful generous breakfast, free shuttle service.

Negatives: Weird low-class decor, long ugly corridors.

A cool hotel! The decor was fun and it had all the amenities. The staff was extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Positives: A beautiful hotel with a fantastic location.

Negatives: The room was a bit on the small side.

Other than waking to the sound of snow removal equipment droning away right outside the window, it was a mostly good experience. If you're handling your own luggage, you might want to request a first floor room because there is no elevator.

Positives: Fun and funky decor you expect from a Kempton hotel. Nice change from std. Hotel.

Negatives: Staff could have exhibited more warmth and helpfulness at check in.

The hotel is steps from the gondola which is great especially in the winter. It's also steps from the heart of the city. The hotel is very unique and modern. It's clearly focused on the audience of young professionals who want to get away in complete luxury. The rooms are equipped with everything traveler would need, including bottles of wine. The rooms are a bit small but decorated in a fun modern way with animal print theme. The hotel is also a host to one of the hippest restaurants in town.

Positives: Proximity to hiking and city at the same time.

Negatives: Nothing really, it's a great boutique hotel.

It looks like they spent some time updating an old hotel with some groovy carpets and wallpaper, but the dated structure still makes it feel a bit frumpy. The IPod player was a nice touch, but they ran out of the complimentary breakfast muffins about an hour early.

Positives: Groovy furnishing with IPod player.

Negatives: Small rooms, looks like an old hotel with some renovations.

A great get away for a weekend for the price! A bigger hotel with a B and B feel. It was off season and the feeling was very relaxed. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Great Suite upgrade! Awesome location.

Positives: It was small and welcoming with a great location, they upgraded us to a very nice suite.

Negatives: Not child friendly (did not bring my kids this time) More of a singles scene by the pool.

Beautiful setting, nice pool and waterfall, warm water, not tub attached. Hot in rooms, look of a remade travel lodge, during the 5pm-6pm complimentary drink hour, drinks were solicited then charged to hotel room without reminding guests it was complimentary drink hour. Parking charge $15. to park in hotel parking lot-won't return. Not a true Kempton. No marketing rep like in Seattle to have a tarot char reader or a person to make complimentary mixed drinks be center of lobby action. Needed to get concierge to come over from office and pour wine that was tucked in corner. Not about the guests.

Positives: The pool was warm, Nice waterfall and hot tub, breakfasts good.

Negatives: Drinks solicited during 5-6 free drink hour. Parking $15-called "valet" car never moved, not a true Kempton, run down.

This was most-likely an older motel renovated by Kempton. So, the building itself is nothing special - -small lobby and outside corridors to the rooms. The walls are very thin and we could hear outside noise and noise from other rooms. Luckily, we were there during the off-season, so it was relatively quiet. (The bar and restaurant on-site were closed.) I can't imagine getting much sleep when its crowded though. The rooms were large and the amenities were nice - -Aveda toiletries. There is also a City Market grocery located less than a block away which was very convenient.

Positives: Terrific location for skiers, right on the mountain.

Negatives: Pool and spa were not well-maintained. Hotel was very noisy.

I cannot imagine that the Sky is not the coolest hotel in Aspen. The rooms are very nice while smallish. The hotel is about a one minute walk from the Aspen Mountain Oldola. The pool and lounge were happening all day, with a great food and drink menu. Excellent electronic music, either recorded or spun by a DJ, was omnipresent. A great hotel for the young and hip, or those agreeable to such persons.

Positives: The Sky has to be the coolest hotel in Aspen.

Negatives: Smallish rooms - but still very nice!

This was a great hotel. All Kimpton's are. You have to PAY for the service, but it is fantastic.
