Overall very comfortable and very business friendly and reasonable. The price for internet use is only 5.00 per 24.00 and the desk is comfortable in the room and quiet. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Positives: I liked that there was no parking fees and the open use areas where user friendly.
Negatives: Cell phones only work in the open areas not in your room.

I've stayed at the Walnut Creek Marriott several times over the past few months. Overall, the hotel is quite good, but there are a few negative to contend they hotel check in staff are likely trained to limit your reservation by not telling you anything about the hotel and may also give you a lesser quality room, such as one where your 3G phone barely receives signal or the room next to the exercise room (360). Other negatives are the parking garage. If you plan to park your own car, the garage can fill up fast and is a dangerous place to enter if you're not comfortable in small places. Positives to this hotel are: friendly wait staff, wonderful room service staff, great location, close to BART, shopping, restaurants, and a decent and lively concierge lounge if you happen to have a gold rewards membership with Marriott.
Positives: The restaurant, bar, and room service staff are always wonderful.
Negatives: Hotel does not allow you to acquire reward points if you book through

The lounge/walk area around the pool is narrow and there is drop off into the garden landscaping. When I sat on the lounge chair it flipped me back. Another guest had to help me. I was scraped up. The hotel gave a free dinner and bandages and offered medical help. I hope they fix the problem so no one else experiences this. It could have been worse and especially if I had been alone.
Positives: The hotel is beautiful.
Negatives: I have mixed feelings. There is a design flaw at the pool which caused an accident to me.

Overall, a good choice. Good room size, separate tub and shower. For a 3.5 star rated hotel, would have thought the towels would be thicker. There were 4 pillows on the bed - two that you sleep on that provided no support and two decorative pillows you can't use because they were too stuffed. Must improve the coffee - terrible both in-room and in restaurant.
Positives: Location and free parking (when available) is great.
Negatives: No firm pillows; wait staff in restaurant needs to be friendlier; toilet didn't flush well; coffee was terrible (in room and at restaurant).

The Self Park is a torturous maze which most likely after 20 minutes of searching will prove fruitless and you'll end up valet parking your car for dollars. The box of soap next to my sink was empty which made me question their thoroughness in cleaning the room. One of the bathroom lights buzzed loudly not too mention, on my previous stay, I had the same problem. It was so annoying that I remember the experience! They must have a thing with changing out their light bulbs. Also, if you enter the hotel from the parking garage, if you miss the first set of elevators you can wander aimlessly trying to locate the lobby.
Positives: Starbucks in room coffee was just about the only thing I liked about this hotel.
Negatives: Self park is horrendous. Second stay in which I've been in a room with a buzzing bathroom light.

The hotel was a very nice. The rooms were very nice. The staff were all very nice. We did not eat at the restaurant. The location worked for us very well. The parking attendants were very kind. The self-parking was extremely poor and a bit scary due to the lack of spaces and the cramped parking lot and the poorly lit back corners.
Positives: The staff and rooms were very pleasant.
Negatives: The parking was abysmal. Tiny spaces, cramped and very unpleasant.

The hotel does not like the fact the reservation was made through price line and tried their hardest to give you a hard time checking in plus the worst possible room
Positives: Parking
Negatives: Poor and unprofessoinal front desk.

Older Marriott with serious key-card problems. A shame they don't upgrade that system. My first room wouldn't respond to the key at all, second room had a temperamental slot that required the key to be scanned 2-3 times at different speeds to finally recognize it. When I checked in, people were standing in line with their keys to get them re-programmed. Very out of character for a Marriott, more like an older Best Western.
Positives: Good staff, good lobby/restaurant/bar.
Negatives: Lots of freeway noise in the room.

My room was wonderful, every thing
I needed was there. Bed was very comfortable and
I slept well. It was clean and roomy. Concierge level makes you feel like a queen, snacks and beverages all day and night free of charge. Room service waitress was rude and that was a disappointment. Front desk was amazing, as was the valet parking. I'd stay again but not use room service.
Positives: Front desk was amazing! upgraded me to top floor which was wonderful.
Negatives: Room service waitress was rude! my order was wrong and she kept blaming me.

Great except for the halls and lobby cold and they turn the heat off after you leave the room (cleaning staff I'm sure. That makes it best to turn up the heat and stay in the room. Parking is inadequate, so twice, we had to pay $16 to have them valet park the car. Internet access is extra cost, so we went elsewhere for Internet access, but resented it.
Positives: Staff was very service orientated.
Negatives: Room 60 degrees at check-in and when we returned for evening after gone all day.

This hotel is rated as a 3 and 1/2 star, but is definately worthily of a 4 star rating. I have stayed at 4 star hotels that were not as good as this one!
Positives: They bent over backwards to please me. A great experience!
Negatives: Parking is a little tight.

I am so impressed with the hotel.
Positives: The fellow at the front desk was the nicest, most helpful person that I have ever dealt with at a hotel!
Negatives: Parking lot hard to maneuver around.

Outstanding value. Comfortable beds and classy linens. Very safe area. Although, heavy vehicular traffic. Very clean, classy hotel. Many hi-tech amenities. (HD TV!!)
Positives: Hi-class, comfortable bed and linens. Spacious rooms.
Negatives: Our room faced the pool. The 3 am drunks were loud & annoying.

Clean, comfy, convenient location. It would have been nice if the TV was working. The hotel did provide complimentary shuttle service to nearby areas.
Positives: Clean and comfy.
Negatives: Only had a few TV channels because they were changing their cable system.

Overall the hotel is very nice. My only concern is potential parking problems should I stay here in the future.
Positives: The room was very nice and extremely clean. The beds were comfortable.
Negatives: I was dreading the parking situation but it was not a problem however if the hotel was full the lot will not accommodate all guests.

The poor young clerk looked like she wanted to scream or quit. The band was only about 25 feet from her location, so there was nothing she could do. The hotel parking garage had several floors, no marked door or directions on how to get up to the lobby. The stairs I used brought me out into a catering kitchen apparently, and ended up behind the noisy band, which I had to walk around to get to the front desk.
Positives: Good bed and
Negatives: Very noisy lobby with loud, live band; labyrinth-like parking garage.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Be prepared to pay for parking and internet access.
Positives: Staff was very courteous and helpful.

Fairly elegant establishment. The classical music piped in the lobby plus the pianist playing in the evening adds a touch of class. The pool area is nice; however, one is obviously just a step or two away from a busy freeway, while trying to lounge in the sun. Noisy with traffic.
Positives: Very comfortable room; AWESOME fitness center!
Negatives: Parking is either valet at $10.00/day or self-parking way down the street.

Nice place to stay
if you like to pay for parking. The free lot was a pain to use. Would not stay there again simply because of this.
Positives: Nice place to stay.
Negatives: Valet parking

The first clerk wasn't very helpful but the rest of them were great. Clean clean hotel and very good to stay in -- expect for the parking. Also, to pay almost $6 for 15 minutes on the computer is ridiculous. Not that close to stores either.
Positives: Very new, clean & neat, lovely lounge.
Negatives: The

Arrived to my room at 3pm, there was major construction work in progress next door. Constant jackhammer and banging noise, extremely loud. I was placed in another room, right next to a major freeway, which was not acceptable and went back to the original room. Construction ended at 5:30 pm. Would have been helpful if the front desk knew what time the construction would end, thus avoiding room change.
Positives: Soft, clean, warm and
Negatives: Extremely loud construction work next door that lasted three hours. (3 to 6pm).

Hotel is very clean. Staff was very friendly. Location is excellent. Parking was an issue.
Positives: Rooms were spotless.
Negatives: Parking - walk to a separate lot if not using the valet service. Fee for parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 24 Sep 2008 rated 2 out of 10.
First thing, parking is $16/night for valet & $10/night for self-park. Self park is a strip of parking lot a block away under the BART tracks (no attendant/security). Then there were no batteries in the remote control for the TV. First night, the live music started at 10pm and woke up my 16 month old son. I called and complained and the music continued until at least 11:30 PM. Next day, our room was not made up by housekeeping, and we did not have the privacy sign out. I had to request our room be made up the second day. Definitely one of my worst hotel stays.
Positives: Good people watching.
Negatives: Not family friendly.

The hotel room was very nice. The grounds were clean, the staff friendly. The location was a 15 minute walk to downtown Walnut Creek and BART. I had no complaints. I travel all the time and this is one of my favorite affordable hotels on the West Coast!
Positives: Great staff, great location, elegant design.
Negatives: Nothing - this hotel was great!
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 10 Sep 2008 rated 8 out of 10.
Everything is more than a walk away. The other hotels on your service are much more useful.
Positives: The TV's are wide screens and lots of channels!
Negatives: Parking is terrible. Only onsite is $11 and off site is a block away under the freeway.

Straight forward business hotel. Over priced parking considering Walnut Creek is suburban. Employees do not represent the brand very well.
Positives: I liked the high atrium with views from elevator area on each level.
Negatives: The large man who checked us in did not say one word.
