Great location, 15-20 minutes away from San Francisco city. Room and bathroom was very clean. Loved the interior decorations in the room. The hotel looked very classy and the lobby area was beautifully furnished. The restaurant in the hotel was great, free buffet style breakfast for guests. Nice reception even though we were late night arrivals. We had to sleep 3 or 4 depending and that is usually awkward were our out of country guests) but they did tag a $20.00 parking charge on.
Positives: Eloquent, yet very earthy, fabulous breakfast & happy hour we had no idea about. Very spacious rooms.
Negatives: Small pool and hot tub.

Probably a good location if you have business in South San Francisco or are flying in or out of SFO. Not a good location for seeing the tourist areas in SF, unless you have and don't mind driving a car.
Positives: Free hot breakfast was really good.
Negatives: Had to go to fourth floor to find a functioning ice machine.

Negatives: Room was very small and cluttered.

I was a bit unhappy to end up with a smoking room, but the hotel was full. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the setting for our breakfast and the quality of the food cased us to linger over our breakfast. Staff was very friendly.
Positives: The central courtyard/atrium was beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding.
Negatives: We ended up with a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking.

Embassy Suites is a very large, suite hotel near the San Francisco airport. With large rooms, a beautiful interior and a friendly staff, the hotel offers a full breakfast, including omelets cooked to order and a location convenient to the airport.
Positives: Full breakfast and evening cocktail party included in room price.
Negatives: It is near airport but not near most tourist attractions.

Overall, the hotel was nice, especially for the price. The location is in an industrial part of the bay area, so there were very limited choices for restaurants. Getting to/from San Francisco with a rental car was very easy. The hotel is close to the 101 and was easy to get into and out of.
Positives: Free parking and good breakfast.
Negatives: Location. South San Francisco is industrial.

This hotel is top of the line. For all they offer it should be a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that werent as nice as this one. Free breakfast, free evening snack, free internet and office area, everything was awesome. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I was very impressed by my stay here and would defiantly return if ever in the area.
Positives: I liked everything about this hotel. Beautiful, great location, excellent staff, many amenities, huge free breakfast buffet. Wonderful hotel.
Negatives: There was nothing about this hotel I did not like.

The hotel is north of the airport, takes some getting used to find but overall very comfortable and definitely worth the extra travel. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms (suite) and the overall comfort. The breakfast bar was excellent, food made to order and included in the hotel price. Good value for the price!
Positives: The facility was very neat and comfortable.
Negatives: Room cleanliness not too good.

My husband, 9 year old daughter and I went to the SF opera. This hotel was only 30 minutes away, if you hit traffic right and the price was right. The tropical lobby was very inviting; Koi fish, fountain and lots of greenery. When we got there they said they only had a king bed and 2 double beds would not be ready for another hour (which is when we had to leave fully dressed for the opera. This is what I explained to the clerk). She did eventually cave in and found us a room with 2 double beds. The room was very clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. In the morning, my husband was upset to find two portions of decaf coffee and no regular coffee for the coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was a zoo! 12 empty tables, none of them cleaned off but piled with dirty dishes and no busboy/girl in site; had to clean off our own table. Poor quality omelet, over cooked. Out of pancakes. Poor quality pastries. [Next time I think Ill just have a bagel and cream cheese]. If you eliminate the breakfast experience, it was otherwise a nice stay.
Positives: The price was right. The tropical lobby was inviting. The room comfortable.
Negatives: Breakfast buffet disappointing & stressful. Not enough parking spaces.

Management was rude, his name was also Michael, and I didn't get his last name. He was management at midnight. I had some people over and he told me it was not allowed and gave me some guidelines so I wouldn't be kicked out. I followed them and at the end of it all, he kicks me and my party out. First off, 2 rooms were reserved and both were supposed to have 2 twins, so 12 people in total can spend the night. We had more than 12 come over, but they weren't staying over, so he told us to go down to the bar/restaurant. So we did so. When they were closing up down there, the people who weren't staying still had their belongings in our room, so they proceeded to go up and get their things, clean up a little and proceeded to leave. Some strayed behind a bit longer than others, but they were leaving. Management then comes up and tells us to evacuate the room because we had too much traffic going in and out. I tried to explain, but he wouldn't budge. I told him we followed everything he asked of us, no one around us complained about being too noisy or anything, and he still wouldn't budge. He wouldn't offer a refund or anything, just that he wasn't open to anymore discussions. After trying a bit more to talk things out him got really rude and started using smart remarks and answering rudely. He then said to take our stuff and leave. We had a lot going on, we were in the midst of cleaning up for the night but we couldn't finish. He just wanted us out, so we just took our stuff and left as is because that's what he wanted. The credit card company is being called to dispute the charges. I'm never going to this hotel again and hope that the manager, Mr. I'm ex law enforcement that's why they hired me, realizes what he did was wrongful and issues the refund we deserve without having to take things further. Again, no one around us complained, a lot of others we met there were louder, and were also with us downstairs, and they were never hassled. The hotel is supposedly doing renovations, which they really do need. By the way, parking sucked, many vehicles were occupying two spaces. We reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds, but were given 2 rooms with 2 queens, and couldn't be moved because the hotel was booked for the night.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Management that night, only have his first name, Michael, turned things around and was very unfriendly and rude.

Overall, experience was great. Rooms very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff was courteous/professional. I will return to this location which provides airport shuttle and less than 10 min. from airport. Great overall experience. I traveled with my 21-year-old daughter and 81-year-old mother.
Positives: Breakfast fantastic. Front desk was professional!
Negatives: Parking was a bit crowded.

Great service and atmosphere. Good food and complimentary breakfast. Two-room suites are wonderful!
Positives: Overall atmosphere and friendly service.
Negatives: The pool area was very stuffy and the smell of chlorine was very strong.

I will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel had 5 elevators and one was out of order, but during the morning, 2 of the other elevators were shut down which left us to taking the stairs a lot and my wife is disabled. Also, a hotel this size only had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers and one of them was out of order. This made things very inconvenient. Breakfasts could have been better too.
Positives: The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.
Negatives: My wife is disabled and because the elevators were shut down she had to take the stairs.

I had a large and well-furnished suite. Staffs were courteous and helpful. Very good complimentary breakfast served daily, with many choices. Housekeeping staff kept the room immaculate.
Positives: Large comfortable suite of rooms.
Negatives: Crowded parking lot.

Overall it was a good experience. It was satisfying to know that we could count on the hotel.
Positives: I noticed the constant cleaning and found that reassuring.
Negatives: Not very child friendly.

Poor front desk service. At check in, was given a smoking room and claimed the hotel was full. Promised to send an ionizer to the room to clear the smell. 2 hours later and repeated calls, still no ionizer. Called again at midnight, and magically a non-smoking room was available. We made the switch. At check out, the woman at the front desk was snoozing. Seemed irritated that we interrupted her nap. Parking was terrible. Spaces marked as "Compact" but big cars and SUVs would double park.
Positives: Free breakfast.
Negatives: Disinterested front desk, apathy. Poor parking.

This is a great alternative to staying in the San Francisco downtown hotels. Parking is free, breakfast is free (with made-to-order omelets) and hearty, the beds are very comfortable, and the rooms have been recently refurbished. Friendly staff. Overall, a great stay. Will definitely return.
Positives: Breakfast included with made-to-order omelets. Sofa bed. Good desk and office chair.
Negatives: No Ethernet cable in the room.
