Absolutely the worst motel we have ever stayed in. Overpriced, dirty, smelled of mold, surely staff. Fridge had leftover crumbs in it. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant over the road is really good.
Positives: Close to Death Valley, comfortable bed.
Negatives: Staff, decor, smell and cost.

The woman who runs this place is an absolute joyful light and her sweetness permeates the property making what would be a mediocre motel into a 5 star paradise. Many will likely disagree -- I mean the beds are ordinary, the TV gets maybe 4 viewable channels, the decor is sixties particle board with printed wood grain, and many of the usual amenities are missing (such as ironing board and iron, refrigerator, curtains that can be closed all the way such that there isn't a crack of light coming through at night). But, for a place to get away from the ciaos of the city and soak up some of that desert sizzle during hours of meditation before going out to bask in the beauty of rock and rustic foliage -- this be the place!
Positives: Nice little inexpensive place to flop in death valley.
Negatives: No in room coffee service, Internet, or ATT cell service.

This is located in a small town just outside Death Valley National Park and was quite convenient and the staff was friendly. It's a classic motel, very Americana.
Positives: Classic motel, route-66 like and feel, nostalgic.
Negatives: NA.

It was just what we needed to sleep, bed was comfortable and clean up good shower pressure. Had a functional kitchenette. Close enough to Death Valley for day trips through the whole park. Staff was friendly and helpful, Window curtains worked good but pretty torn up. Gas station and restaurant close by but had to go into Pyrump Nevada to eat one night. Only 27 miles away.
Positives: Good for a place to sleep.
Negatives: Needs some updating and better finish work. Tiles, wiring and a bad switch, curtains.

Rundown and poorly maintained hotel. Rooms need deep cleaning and new linins, beds, etc. Hotel staff not available. Overpriced for what expected. Pool very old, poor condition. Town was a neat historic, out of the way town. Would be a great rustic get away if hotel were improved.
Positives: Great little town with good restaurant and museum.
Negatives: Rooms need deep cleaning and upgrades. Overpriced.

Clean, simple and to the point. Not much available out in the middle of the desert. There is no internet service here (or accessibility to), 1950's furniture. But overall the room was simple and clean and served the purpose well enough. Bed is only a full size - needs to be a queen!
Positives: Friendly, prompt service, local to death valley.
Negatives: Bed too small - needs to be a queen size! Bathroom very small, only one electrical outlet (and it's not in the bathroom sink area!).
Amenities
Free parking. Laundry/Valet service. Lounges/bars. Pool.
