If you need a clean place to stay in the area it is perfectly fine; It is not a resort, just a motel like clean place to stay with free parking and a continental breakfast included.

Do not stay at this hotel, the beds are uncomfortable and place is not quiet at all. My room was next to the pool and all I heard was the gate clanging shut until 10:00 at night as the families ran in and out of the pool back to their rooms. My room was also next to the breakfast preparation room and the cooks started at 5:30 AM preparing food and banging on the wall. I asked to move and was given a room at the back of the hotel next to a group of young people who partied all night.
Positives: Not a thing.
Negatives: The beds were worst.

On this travel guide, the hotel is given only 2 stars. As a 2 star hotel, I don't have any complaints. First and foremost for me is the bedding. They use the very old style of sheet below blanket below bedspread. They need to get rid of the old style bedspread that has the germs of the last 20 people in the room embedded in it and go to the duvets that are laundered for every guest. Also, if they put a top sheep on top of the blanket, you could just remove the bedspread and lay on the sheet. Since there is no top sheet, you lay on the dirty blanket. The cars park right in front of the rooms, so it is not a good place for those wanting to sleep in. I was put next to the employee closet so the housekeepers were banging in there from 8 AM on. The breakfast was spartan but good. You could have cereal, rolls and coffee or tea. No fruit, eggs, etc. They have a small workout room which many hotels in this class do not have. In general, it is OK for the price but I hate hotels that still use the old dirty bedspreads and don't use top sheets on the blanket. OK for lower end hotel.
Positives: Price. Includes small breakfast and internet.
Negatives: Old bedspreads, linens, noisy. 11 AM checkout and refused a late 12 noon checkout request. Most hotels have regular checkout time at noon.

The best thing about this hotel is that its located in Santa Barbara. The towels were old, the bedding old and musty smelling, the beds were hard. the bathroom was spacious. We didnt bother going to the pool after seeing the cleanliness of our room we didnt want to chance it.
Positives: It was in Santa Barbara.
Negatives: It was dirty, bugs crawled under the gap in the door, paper thin walls.

I go every 3 months to Santa Barbara, for business and pleasure combo. Female traveling alone, so feeling safe was a #1. There are more upscale places for lots more money but this location is great for going to all types of stores, mall and food choices. Hotel staff presented themselves very nicely and the room was excellent for the money. Big room and clean. I will definitely be going back there in November.
Positives: Felt safe-big comfy room.
Negatives: No elevator for taking up luggage.....(not the end of the world.

We enjoyed our stay, but they have no Internet service, which I needed to send out some work while we were there. Overall good place for the money, and close to the things we wanted to see.
Positives: Room was clean, quiet, good location.
Negatives: The shower head holes were small and made for a "stingy" sensation when the water hit you.

Great hotel to stay at for a family. Convenient to downtown - activities, restaurants, shopping.

Negatives: Hotel staff was indifferent.

I like this hotel because it suits my needs when I am working in Santa Barbara, usually quiet. Improvements could be an additional bathroom in the two room suites and a microwave but otherwise I am happy. I stay here each year.
Positives: The king suite has a good amount of space & beds.
Negatives: No microwaves and non committal on late check out.

A very good value for the money. Courteous and helpful staff, very good, free breakfast, pool was perfect for teaching our daughter how to swim.
Positives: Excellent breakfasts, reasonable prices, nice pool.
Negatives: Once there were ants for one day--common in SB, pillows could be better.
