Friendly staff, easy check in check out. Room a bit outdated. We booked a one room suite, with kitchen. Small for what we paid for. Sofa bed mattress could not be used, had to sleep on top of the couch. Remote did not work for TV in the bedroom as well as one of the light fixtures. Blew a fuse when drying my hair! Small bathroom! Good thing the fuses were right in the bedroom! It was clean, and we only stayed two nights, did not spend much time at the hotel. Hotel is located in a residential area also, so you will have to drive to go into town. Good for what we needed, but next trip will choose a hotel closer to town and the water.

Positives: Clean
Negatives: Room a bit outdated, bathroom, kitchen area very small for the price we paid. Pull out sofa's mattress was not usable. Had to sleep on top of the couch.

When I pay for a room, I'm expecting not to be disturb, they didn't even have the "do not disturb" sign on the doors, they woke us up around 9:30 am to clean the room, and again at 11:00, they can wait for you to check out at noon before cleaning it or at least to have a sign you can hang outside your door to avoid being awaken when you don't want to, I would not recommend this hotel.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Woke up at 9:am a Sunday by the cleaning person knocking at our door.

I would not recommend this hotel.

Good. Able to accommodate 3 days prior to stay. Most of area hotels are a minimum of 2 night stay on a weekend; they booked my stay 1 night on a Saturday night. In lobby, large selection of information/pamphlets on area activities & maps. Negative: Flower sheets on bed after I was told they would be white and bleached. Street noise/hard to sleep. Late at night no parking space was open/street parking is illegal/Office was closed/T parked my car on hotel grass area.
Positives: 1 night minimum Saturday stay okay /other 2 nights.
Negatives: Sheets not white/bleached & no parking spaces were open.

This hotel is in my opinion moderate. The room was large but a bit outdated including a broken bed. In a residential area and not near the beach, State Street, nor within walking distance to anything really. I like the full kitchen, pool and spa area. Lots of free parking which is nice. Not bad but hated the mediocre A/C.
Positives: I liked there was a full kitchen. Large Room and bathroom.
Negatives: No tub. Air conditioner was not fully working. Oven broken. Front desk didn't help with A/C.

They could use new sheets, provide more parking, and fix patio screen doors to all rooms.
Positives: Nice balcony in room.
Negatives: Printed sheets that looked horrible, not enough parking, and patio screen doors off track on several rooms looked very bad.

Overall, hotel was fine. It was very far from everything though.
Positives: The front desk was helpful.
Negatives: Had to switch rooms due to plumbing.

For the price this was very clean, pleasant place to stay, though not close to either the water or the center of town.
Positives: Very clean, most furnishing looked new or almost new, nice grounds.
Negatives: Lights didn't work, iron had some go on it that stained my wife's pants, decaf only in the for the in room coffee pot.

Despite a hard bed and a shower with inconsistent water temperature, the room was nice and we had a good time.
Positives: It was located quite close to downtown attractions.
Negatives: The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

This was a great deal for a Santa Barbara hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. There were some little "extras" in the room, like fresh fruit and cookies, that were nice. The pool was very clean and there was plenty of room for all the guests. Though the hotel isn't within walking distance to the beach or downtown, both are very close and easy to get to via car. My only complaint is that the air conditioner in our room wasn't working, which might not normally be a problem since it is often cool in SB, but it was very HOT during our stay and air conditioning would have been nice. They sent someone to fix it twice and when that didn't work they adjusted our bill to make up for it. All in all we were very satisfied and pleased with our stay.
Positives: Very clean; nice staff; pleasant overall experience.
Negatives: The air conditioner in our room was broken, but the staff tried to accommodate us.

Overall the hotel was nice, but I would have liked it to be near shopping, restaurants, and/or the beach.
Positives: It was very clean and the property was pretty.
Negatives: The location. It was not near any restaurants, shopping, or the beach.

This room cost basically $200 a night. It stunk so bad of cigarette smoke we had to wash our clothes the next day (a non-smoking room was not available). Maybe it was just because we were in Santa Barbara, but to have to pay $200 a night for a room that wasn't anything special and stank on top of it all was ridiculous.
Positives: It was relatively close to downtown Santa Barbara.
Negatives: We were put in a smoking room that just reeked of smoke. A non-smoking room was not available.
