Our stay a this hotel was the first of a 4 night trip. The second was at a modern hotel in downtown LA. So this quaintly decorated hotel provided us with a variety and also gave us an opportunity to feel like we were not at a major chain. Overall, a positive experience.
Positives: We liked the charming decor, large room and in room fireplace.
Negatives: We weren't overly impressed with the breakfast at the on-site restaurant, especially for the price.

Really quaint romantic getaway place. Plan on returning for leisure with my wife. Its a bed and breakfast romantic getaway, but breakfast NOT included.
Positives: Awesome location, Helpful friendly staff, Highly recommend it
Negatives: The drawers in the room were hard to open. They need some roller/slides installed to fix this. Deadbolt on door was non functional.

We had heard what an interesting place that the Apple Farm is. It has the feel of an Inn, however, it needs a great deal of updating which made the room and bathroom appear dirty and dingy. The upside is that the rooms are quite large and have free internet. And the staff was wonderful and very friendly!!
Positives: It's attractive and has a homey feel.
Negatives: The rooms are outdated and need new carpet, paint, tile & decor.

Very nice, accommodating staff. Everything is very clean and neat. Beautiful gardens.
Positives: They were very accommodating.
Negatives: I wasn't wild about the bathroom but it was very, very nice overall.

This hotel is super cute with country charm. My kids loved seeing it all decked out for Christmas and the free cookies at night.
Positives: Free drinks, cookies, and breakfast.
Negatives: The queen beds seemed more the full beds.

The hotel was absolutely delightful. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the entire staff, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, were friendly and very helpful. People at the Inn seemed to be quite respectful of the ambiance. Parents with children seemed to keep them in tow moreso than I have experienced in more "commercial" hotels.
Positives: Delightfully appointed inside and out.
Negatives: Nothing I didn't like.

We enjoyed our stay at the Apple Farm hotel. Our room was large, clean, quiet, and well furnished in the country-Victorian style this hotel is known for. In my opinion, the hotel restaurant is not as good as it used to be. Not bad, but just not as good. The public areas, facilities, and grounds are well-maintained.
Positives: Quaint country-victorian ambience. Large room.
Negatives: No towel rack in the bathroom!

The hotel was wonderful. It was quiet and comfortable. The free coffee and cookies and cider everyday were great. The service was great as well. The clerks all knew the area very well and offered great advice for eating out or local activities.
Positives: It felt very homey and comfortable.
Negatives: Nothing.

This was the fourth night of a two week vacation/trip. The Apple Farm left both my daughter and myself with a bad taste (and smell). The room had an old gas smell that I associate with years of using gas space heaters for a sole heat source. We had a room in the Trellis Court. It was very small but it was clean. Guest do have access to an excellent ice machine if this is important to you. Parking was extremely tight. The hotel is easy to find and located near local restaurants. We were glad our reservations were for only one night.
Positives: Comfortable.
Negatives: The smell - there was an old gas smell in the room from the gas fireplace.

Country charm! The country feeling was carried out through every aspect of the hotel and grounds. The entire family enjoyed our stay including the 8 year old. I will definitely stay here again.
Positives: I liked everything about the hotel. The staff, decor, location. Everything was wonderful.
Negatives: Only problem we had was the service in the hotel restaurant. Everyone else around us was already served, it took almost 45 minutes to get our food.

This is my favorite place in SLO to stay. It is very beautiful and the people are wonderful. I love the old Americana feeling of it.
Positives: The decor and atmosphere.
Negatives: When leaving the motel part, you are forced to 101S.

When we first got there we were given a room that was an outside entrance room like a motel. It was not very nice and had a smell. I had specifically asked for a tub. The motel like room did not have one. They moved us to a room in the Inn. It was much nicer and only about $20.00 more. I highly suggest booking a room in the Inn. The fireplace and the sitting area in the room was a nice touch.
Positives: The grounds were beautiful and close location to Cal Poly.
Negatives: Stay in the Inn not out in one of the rooms not attached.
