A dive, but a relatively clean dive in a seemingly nice area. No air conditioning!

Positives: The closet was big. That's about it. But no light in it so you couldn't see anything.

Negatives: The protruding mattress springs were undesirable.

We left one night early due to the bed being a full size for two adults. 3 mattresses stacked on each other on the floor, warm weekend with no a/c in the room, no screens on windows so you could not sleep with the window open, homeless person was staying at the hotel and I found him looking in car windows. reported it to the office. office hours were from 7am to 11pm. I had to bang on the window at 6am to report the homeless person due to no phone in the room to contact office. I do not recommend this hotel. very unpleasant experience. it was worth going home one night early and loosing one night of money.

Positives: Nothing

Negatives: Small bed, no AC, no screens on windows, homeless at the hotel.

We had such great luck getting the corner room with the king bed, when all of the other websites only had queens available. Also, the description of the room didn't say anything about a fridge/microwave, so we almost stayed somewhere else, but our room ended up having both! Only 3 or 4 blocks to downtown, which was great. We had an awesome time!

Positives: We had the corner room, so it was very large with a king bed and fridge/microwave.

Negatives: Barely enough parking, but still always able to get a spot.

Overall, not a good experience. A little extra money would be very worth it to upgrade to something better.

Positives: Very convenient spot, close to lots of shops and restaurants.

Negatives: Very small, uncomfortable and poor quality.

It was really more about the terrible service when we needed to cancel one night on one room. Difficult to reach a person and when I did they barely spoke English and were very rude. It was easier to just keep the room.

Positives: It had a great location.

Negatives: Our room smelled of urine, it only had 1 bed, my son slept on the floor.

The Travel Lodge in SLO was an older motel but has been well maintained. The room was small, but we only needed it for one night and it was clean and comfortable. The motel is easy walking distance to the historic areas of town as well as the shopping/restaurant/nightlife area.

Positives: Clean, staff was very helpful.

Negatives: Very small rooms.

The bed was really small for two people although we were skinny. The wall was too thin, so we could hear the neighbors right next to us and below us. The overview of this hotel was everything was too old and the staff was not friendly "at all".

Positives: It's easy to find the hotel because it's near highway 101.

Negatives: The hotel was not worth for the price.

For a basic economy hotel, it was fine. This is not the place for a family stay or for the business traveler.

Positives: Location was good.

Negatives: It was a very basic economy hotel.
