Its a small hotel not the rooms the rooms are fine big enough. The staff are Russian this may be why some folks were complaining about not being able to understand or get across to them (the staff) wot they (the guest) wanted, I on the other hand had no trouble!
Positives: I was able to check in B-4 3pm, the staff I delt with were great.
Negatives: Some of the younger guests were kinda noisy after 10 pm.

The staff there is pretty bad. They are not very friendly or helpful. I always get stuck on the street side of the hotel which is noisy. The staff promised me the noise would go down at night. It didn't.
Positives: Good location and nice rooms for the price.
Negatives: The staff is unfriendly and they always put me on the noisy side of the hotel.

Good location near north beach, fisherman's wharf, downtown. Easy and fast check-in/out. Friendly staff.
Positives: Good rates and clean room.
Negatives: Not enough parking.

Room smelled like cigarettes, was not clean, walls were greasy, sheets were clean though. Unsafe area, car was burglarized, homeless everywhere harassing pedestrians, I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Positives: The price seemed reasonable at the time, wasn't the case though.
Negatives: Unsafe. Car was burglarized, yelling, gunshots, treated like it was an everyday occurrence.

Accessible to Civic Center, busses, most of the heart of downtown SF and UC.S.F (where I was going) and accessible to good restaurants, friendly staff and fairly secure place for both car and personal valuables.
Positives: Good value for the price.
Negatives: Thin towels.

Well, where do I begin? My son's car had the drivers side window broken out and the stereo stolen. The towels were grey .The television was on it's last leg. To open the window and look out only afforded you a view of what you really didn't want to know about. I wouldn't recommend staying at the Roadway Inn, unless your a parole officer on business travel.
Positives: Nothing. Hard to understand the office personnel.
Negatives: Location, poor security, lots of drug activity and vandalism

This is a nice place if you just need a cheap place to crash. Room was clean and the area was safe and easy to get to.
Positives: Not bad for a cheap hotel.
Negatives: Vending machine empty.

The hotel is clean and well managed with parking on site at no extra charge. However, for a senior female, traveling alone, it is too close to the Tenderloin district for average comfort.
Positives: On site parking.
Negatives: Too close to Tenderloin district with many homeless.

The people were nice they even gave us a map with the bus routes. The room had all the convenience except an Iron and board it had two TV. as if they meant to take the one that did not work but forgot. It was in the city bus line to get around the city.
Positives: We were not bothered.
Negatives: A little noisy if one wanted to sleep late in the day.

Street over from the Tenderloin District, so watch out which way you turn. It can get much nicer or much worse depending which way you travel from this motel. Also, the rate they charged per-room on receipts, differed from rate quoted here.
Positives: I have stayed in worse, but not by much.
Negatives: For near the same rate Ramada Civic Center was ten-fold higher quality/location/deal.

Room was basic and clean. Had a good-sized mini-refrigerator and microwave which came in handy. Parking available on site. Bathroom was OK, but the towels were thin and rough but tolerable. TV did not have a remote control. Location is convenient, but near the Tenderloin so care should be taken when walking at night. Overall, decent for a one-star motel and good value for the low price paid.
Positives: Location was very walk able to downtown and other places of interest.
Negatives: No remote control for the TV.
