Very nice hotel and amenities.
Positives: Location to restaurants and attractions.
Negatives: Small bathroom.

Very welcoming lobby, WiFi everywhere except in room, extra in room. Room size is exceptionally large for SFO. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, great contemporary decoration and great coffee machine. Everything you expected at Hilton is accounted for. I will stay at this hotel all over again at anytime.
Positives: Centrally located, great value for the rate we paid.
Negatives: Parking was $45 and the parking facilities is not good at all. The doorman was uncooperative.

I asked for a high room, we were given a low, handicapped room (I'm not handicapped). The bathroom was set up funny even for WC access the sink was too high and too small. The floor in the room leading to the bathroom had a ramp under it. Perfect for a WC, we kept tripping on it. Very uncomfortable. Wouldn't go back. Super swanky, but convenient neighborhood.
Positives: The lobby is very nice.
Negatives: The room was noisy and cheap looking. Uncomfortable bathroom.

The lobby is decent, but the rooms are standard. The view is nice if you can get an upper level floor.
Positives: Very friendly reception.
Negatives: Pushy bellhops.

Enjoyed it completely. Breakfast voucher/brunch was amazing!
Positives: Wonderful check-in experience, great food, and good bar.
Negatives: Bathroom doors were clumsy.

Clean, comfortable bed, very small room. Did not restock room in 4days we were there. No glasses to drink from. Great location for all downtown activities.
Positives: Clean and safe hotel.
Negatives: Did not restock room, did not give us any glasses to drink from. I think we were treated than other people who book their room from the hotel directly.

Enjoyed the location of the hotel. Thought the size of bathroom was too small and the $50 a night for parking was unexpected.
Positives: Location was wonderful. Walking distance to everything.
Negatives: The pool and jacuzzi was small for the size of the hotel. Plus the location of the pool was horrible.

Good location and good price if using name-your-own-price function of Priceline. Room is outdated but still clean and comfortable. 2 things that annoyed me are: No fan in bathroom, and no easy access electrical outlets for phone/computer/electronic gadget chargers.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room is outdated and needs to be remodeled. No fan in bathroom. No electrical outlets for chargers.

Great hotel. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Front desk, housekeeping and the bellmen. Lobby is very busy, however the hotel has enough staff to accommodate. We never waited in a line. Room was nicely appointed and up to date. I thought it was weird there was no glassware in the room, only Styrofoam cups. Big thirsty towels and nice linens. We had an inner room in Tower Three. Super quiet, I think it's the first hotel I've stayed in SF where I didn't hear street noise.
Positives: Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Negatives: There was no glassware in the room only Styrofoam cups.

A factory trying to mascaraed as an upscale hotel.
Positives: The staff.
Negatives: It was like being in the airport, crowed and noisy!

I thought the hotel was clean and staff were very helpful and they made me feel welcome.
Positives: Excellent gym and clean heated pool using both made my trip wonderful.
Negatives: Its so large and the car parking and hotel entrance are one block apart, what a hassle.

Nice place. Good service, nice rooms, very clean, and conveniently located.
Positives: Real goose down pillows, and windows that open.
Negatives: Just west of it, the neighborhood was a bit gritty.

Parking is extravagant, although valet service is fast. Hotel looks like it needs an upgrade. Fixtures, doors, decor, furniture all need face lift. Front desk, concierge, bell hops, maids are all, helpful, friendly, and efficient. Internet is costly, should be free for Hilton Honors guests least. Finally, the beds are to die for. Perfect.
Positives: Beds are great. Not too hard, not too soft. Didn't want to get up.
Negatives: Not enough seating in lobby, and meeting room areas. Dining options limited for hotel, with 4 stars.

Clean, moderately priced for family budget. Only thing that could be better is room could be bigger but I would rather have the size than pay more for a bigger room. Perfect fit.
Positives: Good fit for a family but not expensive, close enough with paying lots.
Negatives: Room could be bigger.

Overall, a nice and clean facility with friendly and helpful staff.
Positives: The staff we encountered as we checked in and while using valet services were friendly and helpful.
Negatives: It was close to the "tenderloin" area which was not pleasant to see.

Nice clean hotel however rooms are very tiny, even for San Francisco standards.

Negatives: Room was tiny.

Great staff, but poor effort to hold the room.

Negatives: Overbooked us and sent us next door to smaller bed.

Funky mini-double doors on bathroom were a nuisance. Bathroom was tiny but functional. Parking cost was an additional 60% of the room cost.
Positives: Good location for visit to the Union Square area and cable cars.
Negatives: No 'wow' factor to anything other than location.

The Hilton on O'Farrell is one of the worst Hotels in San Francisco. The lobby is just like an airport. The parking prices must be the highest in the the City. The staff is rude. And, the rooms are tiny. There is no way this is a four star hotel.
Positives: The room was very clean.
Negatives: The staff was rude, and the hotel was just like Grand Central Station.

This was definitely a business<BR/>traveler hotel. Not a lot of character or charm. Room was extremely small, but very clean.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Very small rooms - almost to the point of being uncomfortable.

The room was very small and by the elevator, although we were told the room was ready to check-in there were no coffee or cups by the coffee machine (complimentary). The front desk clerk was very rude when we asked if we could get a room at higher floor.
Positives: Nice lobby.
Negatives: Front desk clerk was

I feel I was put in a less than attractive room (no view, farthest from elevator).
Positives: Excellent location.
Negatives: 1st room was musty and dingy. 2nd was okay..

I think I have outlined our critique above sufficiently. It did not possess any romantic charm, sophistication or panache for a 4 star rating. Not for SF.
Positives: Location and pool.
Negatives: Room size, no hot water and

The hotel is in a very convenient location (close to trains, cable-cars and Union Square). The hotel was clean and well-kept, but did not have especially nice rooms, and the bathrooms were positively miniscule (they were not even big enough to accommodate a full-size door!). Overall, a decent place to stay if you get a very cheap room. Otherwise, go somewhere else for a more upscale experience.
Positives: Good location - central to many sites and transportation.
Negatives: This is not a 4-star accommodation. 3-star is more appropriate.

Nice hotel.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Placed us in the worst room possible - tons of noise, off in corner.

I did not use too many of the hotel amenities because I did not need them. Lobby was busy at times, but overall I had a great experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Positives: Clean and friendly hotel.
Negatives: The doormen could have been a little more helpful.

Fairly typical Hilton. Clean, great staff, no complaints.
Positives: Friendly staff & clean rooms.
Negatives: They closed the top floor bar with the great view of SF!

Custom built in the Hilton's heyday, the layout of the hotel doesn't really work, as there's a good chance you may have to walk a long way through badly lit, dingy corridors to get to your room. And then squeezing 2 queen beds, a desk, an easy chair, a TV/armoir/mini bar unit, occasional table and nightstands into the standard room doesn't really work either. That said, the bed was comfy, & everything in the room was scrupulously clean.

Positives: The staff really was very sweet.
Negatives: It's a long schlep from reception to the far end of the 19th floor.

I was not at all pleased with the rooms or service. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. It was like staying at a Holiday Inn. I was disappointed I had to pay to connect my computer to the internet. The hotel workers went on strike during our stay and I should have been reimbursed for 1 nights stay.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Small rooms, too big.

Overall, very nice for the price paid.
Positives: The location and the convenience of the parking garage.
Negatives: Room was really small.

The lobby was beautiful, the room was small but nice. Requested no minibar access, yet they put a hold of $150 on my card- which remained on my account for several days after check-out. The toilet float did not function & we had to take the lid off the tank each time we had to flush..even after they supposedly fixed it.
Positives: Location, beautiful lobby.
Negatives: Toilet not working properly, expensive to park vehicle.
