Please update the room decor and have better bathrooms. Cannot do anything for space.

Positives: The location and staff was excellent.

Negatives: Not impressed with the rooms decor and bathrooms.

Friendly, attentive staff. Accommodated request for in-room refrigerator. Attached restaurant has friendly helpful staff - prepared off-menu gluten-free dish, and made entertainment recommendations.

Positives: Pretty good restaurant attached to hotel - a British pub.

Negatives: Rooms are very small.

It's not a bad hotel, but I also stayed at the Hilton Financial District nearby which was rated the same, and it offered much more in terms of space, amenities and services.

Positives: Easy check-in, friendly staff, liked the purified water bottle dispenser.

Negatives: Rooms are small, walls are much too thin, hallways very narrow.

The location of this hotel was ideal as it was within a 15-25 minute walk of Union Square, Alcatraz, Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, and to all public transit. It was in a very safe and quiet area (financial district) which allowed us to be close to all tourist attractions but away from the tourists in the evening. The room was very nice, modern, renovated, and had a nice view. All furniture was new and in very good condition. The hotel also had free wifi and computers with internet and printing options - all free of charge. We really enjoyed our experience.

Positives: It was in very good condition, renovated, clean, and quiet.

Negatives: First room had air conditioner broken, second had a LARGE crack in the bathroom door that you could see through.

The hotel was great. I would describe it as business-friendly but it was perfect for my partner and I for two nights in downtown San Francisco.

Positives: It had free wi fi.

Negatives: The bathroom door had a crack in the side so you could almost see into the bathroom.

Nice lobby, well done rooms for the small space. Good for a couple. No parking at the hotel and a bit compact room size.

Positives: Nice lobby, well done rooms for the small space. Good for a couple.

Negatives: No parking at the hotel and a bit compact room size.

Although room was small, it was clean and overall I enjoyed my stay.

Positives: Clean.

Negatives: Small room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 20 Mar 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

Nice place to stay, clean, close to business destinations. Good for business travelers. The hotel does not offer parking.

Positives: Good location and

Negatives: Parking not available! Also, TV was too far from the bed, considering that it was so small.

Nice location close to Ferry Building, Embarcadaro, and waterfront.

Positives: Great location and comfortable public spaces.

Negatives: Room was kind of small (narrow), no refrigerator.

The hotel rooms were clean, but they were small. The bathroom was also small. The Hotel only offers one Queen bed or two twin beds. We had three people and they did provided a roll-a-way. But this left little room to walk around. Walls seemed to be paper thin. I could hear our neighbor singing in his room next door when he came in at 2am. I woke at 6am when the neighbor's alarm sounded. You could also hear people in the hallway. On a good note, they provide a closet where you can, at your leisure, get extra pillows, and other room necessities. They also provide free bottled water from a water dispenser. Parking! They do not provide a valet service. You must park in public parking garages. The cost was $36 for 24 hours.

Positives: It was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Negatives: Rooms were small, noisy, and only offered 1 Queen or 2 twin beds.

Good for business long term stays. Nice rooms with small cooking area. Seemed like that had lots of extras for the business traveler.

Positives: Would be good for longer stays.

Negatives: Additional $30 fee for more than 2 people. Would not have bid what it ended up costing.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 15 Dec 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Clean, neat and efficient. Okay for the money, but really nothing special.

Positives: Changed our room quickly and without question when we complained about it smelling like smoke.

Negatives: Original room was on floor that was half smoking and our room reeked of smoke.

Great service. Great location. And no kids! Seemed like a hotel for grown-ups!

Positives: Excellent service! Complementary WiFi and printing.

Negatives: Nothing. I didn't find anything I didn't like.

Pretty good hotel, no parking.

Positives: Great room and

Negatives: Parking

Clearly a business hotel, which opens on weekends for leisure travelers. Comparable to other business style hotels without much leisure traveler support.

Positives: Location was great.

Negatives: Courtyard view, small room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 17 Oct 2010 rated 4 out of 10.

Maybe okay just for sleeping, but you definitely just want to get up and out of there – coffee houses and shops nearby – could walk to restaurants but definitely in the middle of business and finance area of the city.

Positives: Location was okay and nice sitting area off the lobby.

Negatives: Room was small and not comfortable - hallways narrow not a hotel you want to spend anytime hanging around.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 10 Oct 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Very happy with hotel. Not for families but great for the business person or a couple. Not romantic but very clean.

Positives: Front desk was very helpful.

Negatives: Small rooms.

Disappointing! Parking was far away around the corner and down the block. Beds were hard, the bathroom was microscopic. Requested wine glasses and they didn't show up till 2 hours later! That's after I called twice! And just to get ice or vending, we had to go to the basement. No option to purchase forgotten amenities except by vending in the basement. Unpleasant - overall.

Positives: Close to the Embarcadero.

Negatives: Had to go to the basement for Ice!

I have no problem with this hotel, but we were given one bed for four people. One person had to sleep on the floor and one person had to sleep on a roll away bed.

Positives: It was clean and the staff was friendly.

Negatives: The rooms were extremely small.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 03 Aug 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

Very small rooms! Bathrooms similar to cruise ship, with door that leaves sizable gap into room. Clean, but nothing special.

Positives: Clean - nice restaurant.

Negatives: They promised a roll-away, then did not have one at check-in.

I was very concerned about staying at this hotel. This room was definitely only made for 1 or 2. They told us that they could provide a roll away bed for one, but not 2. Since we were traveling with 3 adults and 1 child, this was worrisome. When we got to the room it was relatively small but the roll away bed was amply big for my daughter and granddaughter. We were relieved. When my aunt arrived in the city without a reservation and no room was available in the whole of San Francisco, the hotel front staff was open to letting her stay in our room without charge. (We had brought an air mattress with us so there was additional sleep space.) We also enjoyed the 11th floor terrace. It had a lovely view. This hotel was a pleasant surprise and we got it for a great price on Priceline.

Positives: Friendly and accommodating.

Negatives: No fridge. Not a biggie, but would be nice.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Free water and easy to get to. Good for going to SF Giants games.

Positives: Very small rooms (Euro style), but convenient and comfortable.

Negatives: Small bathroom and rooms really close together.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 24 Jun 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Room was nice except that it was very small and had a very small TV.

Positives: The lobby, exercise room, and sun deck.

Negatives: Small room, small TV, no lock on the bathroom door.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jun 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Far from a 3.5 star rating. Club Quarters has no atmosphere whatsoever. Rooms reminded me of college dorm rooms and the bathroom door was not installed properly. Gaps on the hinged side and opposite side allowed to to see what the individual in the bathroom was doing. Absolutely no privacy! Rather pathetic for a 3.5 star rating.

Positives: Location to Ferry Building.

Negatives: Very small room and bathroom door had visible gaps..

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jun 2010 rated 4 out of 10.

No way this hotel meets 3.5 star rating. Trash had not been emptied in room we were assigned. Plus there was only one thin washcloth and hand towel, even though we had upgraded to a suite! No shampoo and one tiny bar of soap. Sheets were clean but of poor scratchy quality. No king beds and no bathtubs in most rooms.

Positives: Friendly front desk staff and good location.

Negatives: Low housekeeping standards and lack of top amenities.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 10 Jun 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I thought my stay there was perfect for what we needed as to a place to rest our head and shower. However, after taking the Privacy sign off the door at around 11am, upon return at the end of the day our room wasn't cleaned and another Privacy sign was put on our door.

Positives: The computers in the lobby for Internet access & free water bottles were great touches.

Negatives: At first the swiping of the key card to use the elevator was a hassle, but it was all good once we got the hang of it.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 26 May 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

The hotel was fine, clean, plain, almost like a "plain wrap" hotel.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Small European size hotel rooms.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 26 May 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The location is excellent, the price was very good, but the single Queen bed and lack of pool were less than hoped for with a 3.5 star hotel.

Positives: The hotel staff was helpful in getting us adjoining rooms, and the location is wonderful.

Negatives: A single Queen bed in the room is less than what was hoped for in a 3.5 star hotel.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 05 May 2010 rated 1 out of 10.

Low ceilings, tight hallways that look like a maze, and the rooms are the size of a cruise liner - small! Completely unappealing! I couldn't wait to leave!

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: 200 sq ft room, low ceilings, ugly furnishings, iron & board in hallway closet - awful!

The hotel would be alright for a single business traveler. It is located in an area that goes dark at night. The rooms are small, and although the bathroom has a door there is very little privacy. The hotel has no parking, but there is a reasonably priced garage a block away. Also watch out that you check out before the noon check out time. I checked out in the lobby at 12:01 and was charged a $40 late check out fee. Luckily the staff refunded my credit card.

Positives: The service was prompt and friendly.

Negatives: The rooms were too small, and the bathroom had no lock. Also the room was no iron in the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 21 Mar 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

This hotel, which normally caters to business professionals, was very helpful and accommodating to our group. The room was clean, and bed was comfortable.

Positives: The willingness of staff (front office staff) to help us with more room.

Negatives: They don't have 2 double bed rooms.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 07 Mar 2010 rated 3 out of 10.

The hotel is perfect for a single business traveler. The amenities are all geared towards making a business stay more comfortable and there is not much room for families or romantic visitors. The layout of the rooms is in a spiral and rooms in the center are very far from the elevators. There is no refrigerator or ice machines.

Positives: The hotel provided free unlimited bottled filtered water, the location was excellent.

Negatives: The rooms were very small, the king bed was two twins pushed together with a gap in the middle, and the view was an alley and a dumpster.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 22 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Good location to the Financial District and public transportation, great staff. The room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable.

Positives: Free Internet and a very roomy shower.

Negatives: The mattress needs to be replaced.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 20 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. I shared the room with a colleague, so we had to stay in a room with two twin beds.

Positives: The staff was extremely helpful.

Negatives: There are no rooms with two double beds.

This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I am an avid traveler. The location was good and the lobby looked fine, but when you got into the room it was horrible. I knew it would be incredibly difficult for me to get another room on New Year's Eve, so we stayed thinking that it is just a place to sleep. It was absolutely not even a place to sleep! The walls were extremely thin. We could hear others talking all night in the room next to us, and they were just talking, not being overly loud. We could hear every word and every noise they were making. We literally could not sleep all night and into the morning. The cigarette smoke from the other rooms seeped our room through the air system. Pretty soon we were coughing from the smoke in our non-smoking room. The room and hotel was just terrible. I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone over the age of 21! I felt like I was in a college dorm not a hotel.

Positives: Location and they had a purified water station. That is it though!

Negatives: It was absolutely awful! The walls were thin, I could hear others talking in the other room. Smoke from other rooms came in through air system.
