Clean, good location, comfortable bed, great pool, pretty views
Positives: Great location, great lap pool and plenty of seating at the pool.
Negatives: The lobby was very plain and bare

I had a horrible trip down (from NorCal) to San Diego Hilton. Dealing with the issues of my card being charged, when it was not supposed to be, when I was paying cash for a large Bachlorette group. Debbie was on the phone with my bank returning my funds and was so kind. She listened to how frustrated I was with the issue and definitely made the situation better. I would definitely book that hotel again every time I'm in San Diego.
Positives: The hotel staff, especially the Manager Debbie, solved my big issue that I had. She was AWESOME!
Negatives: Prior to my arrival my card was charged when it was not supposed to be.

The hotel was very nice but all the added on fees once you were suckered in the door is what really upset me! Wi-fi doesn't cost the hotel anything but they charge almost $20 per day for Internet, Parking is almost $30 per day. Be VERY careful of low ball prices for rooms....... they will get it from you other ways!!
Positives: The view.
Negatives: All the fees for stuff that should be included will keep us from EVER going to a Hilton again!!

This is a very romantic, activity full, children friendly hotel. Because all this exists, the pool was overcrowded. Would go again. But the price of parking WAY too expensive.
Positives: Very "cozy". Walking distance to everything. GREAT!
Negatives: Bought 3 rooms, 1 of the rooms were not ready till 4:30 and no apologize or credit or anything was given to us

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even for one night at the San Diego Hilton. It was very modern and full of great extras for the value. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with our stay and the hotel even comped our children which was unexpected. We routinely stay in five star plus hotels with our children and found this hotel and location to be one of the best.
Positives: Great location and value for the money!
Negatives: The parking garage elevator was broken which presented an issue with luggage.

My family will return to this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. We especially enjoyed that we were within walking distance of shopping, dining, and the water. It was especially nice that upon our arrival we were advised of free activities for the weekend without having to inquire about it. Finally, the staff was really helpful and friendly.
Positives: I liked that we were immediately greeted by friendly staff , and that they acknowledged our children and involved them in the check in process.
Negatives: The only thing I did not like was that an error was made at check out. They overcharged me a night, but it was corrected.

Had an important business interview the next day and it was really important to have a great night's sleep. The hotel was impressive -- beautiful, clean, friendly, amazing views of the bay, the pool looked so inviting, wonderful walkable location, great restaurants nearby, the bed was fabulous -- couldn't be better. Felt like luxury -- only regret -- no time to use the pool. Next time!
Positives: Great helpful staff. Amazing location/views -- slept like a baby -- which is huge!
Negatives: Parking fees.

Hotel was clean. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay additional for parking, even though I was staying and paying for my stay at the hotel.
Positives: Clean and good location.
Negatives: Paid for parking. No refrigerator.

Grew up in San Diego, didn't know this hotel was here. Gaslamp, Seaport Village and shopping within walking distance. It was quiet and absolutely stunning views.

I really enjoyed this specific hotel Hilton Bayfront. That was the first time I ever stayed at a hotel where they show movies at the pool area in the evening. That was really great, and I am 99.9% sure that I will just stay there everytime I go to San Diego.
Positives: I really enjoyed the swimming pool and restaurants.
Negatives: The location of the gift shop.

This is a newer but convention-grade hotel. No bathtubs, no robes, no refrigerator in the room.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Right next to noisy freight dock for dole, unloading noise.

It is a newly built hotel so the rooms are still clean but I didn't like the fact that they charge $21 dollars for parking space. This was ridiculous.
Positives: I like its convenient location. It was a walking distance to the night life of the gaslamp area.
Negatives: The IKEA look and feel as I walked in.

The hotel was great. It is new and modern. The room was spacious with a view of the bay and downtown. The staff were friendly. The pool was great. The location is perfect being close to the Gas Lamp district.

This was a nice hotel with a beautiful view of the San Diego bay. I thought the decor was cold and bland. It bugged me that I had to pay $21.00 to park my own car (or $31 for valet). The room was clean & comfortable.
Positives: It had a nice view.
Negatives: The decor was cold & uninviting.

Used this conference hotel as an alternative to the other conference hotels. Clean, attractive interior, very friendly staff, and easy walk to the Gaslamp area (about 3 minutes if you are in shape).
Positives: Open, airy, attractive and interesting art designs, comfortable beds, easy walk to the convention center, Starbucks on premise.
Negatives: The fee to use the workout facilities. The outdoor hot tube did not look clean, nor was it hot enough.

I recommend this hotel to anyone. It is easily the nicest one I've seen in the San Diego downtown area.

Pluses: Brand new hotel (opened Dec 2008) so glistening clean and still has that new building smell; very<BR/>modern public areas; directly overlooking water. Minuses: Since the hotel opened in Dec 2008, the staff is still in training; location is very convenient for driving to local tourist spots (Sea World, Balboa Park with museums & zoo) and is directly next door to the convention center for business travelers, but for walking relatively further from the Gaslamp district and Seaport district compared to other major hotels.
Positives: Brand new hotel (opened Dec 2008),modern public areas, directly overlooking water, convenient to downtown & tourist areas.
Negatives: Since the hotel opened in Dec 2008, the staff is still in training; a little further from downtown than other major hotels.
