A beautiful and comfortable hotel with friendly staff in a convenient location
Positives: Comfortable room of good size. Conveniently located near LaJolla
Negatives: CArpet was slightly dirty. Onsite parking is very expensive - we parked on the street

We had a pleasant stay at the Hyatt, beds were comfortable, decor was nice, plenty of eating withing walking distance and other restaurants were less than a minute drive.
Positives: Good location, close to freeway, restaurants, etc.
Negatives: Swimming pool had lap lanes for adults, so kids had to swim in shade.

We had to have the hotel wash their carpets because the floors were dirty. My son's legs were black from crawling on the floor and all our feet were nasty from the floor. The bathroom floors were never cleaned while we were there. The valet parking was overpriced as was the Internet access.
Positives: Good location and nice staff.
Negatives: We had to have the hotel wash their carpets because the floors were dirty. The bathroom floors were never cleaned while we were there.

Hyatt Regency La Jolla was a very nice hotel with a excellent courteous staff and nice environment. Was pleasantly surprised.
Positives: Very courteous staff, nice lounge, gym, and lobby.
Negatives: Elevator rooms noisy, scent in hallways, $20 parking.

Overall it was a nice hotel. We had an issue with Japengo restaurant, the video on the
TV hadn't been updated in years so what we thought we were going to eat wasn't even close to the video and not to our tastes at all. Also the breakfast buffet wasn't the best. The rooms are very nice and comfortable and the staff was nice. And watch out for the speed bumps driving into the hotel they are a killer!
Positives: Nice rooms, very comfortable. Very large pool area with cabanas and lots of lounge chairs.
Negatives: Parking fee and the speed bumps.

It was not located in the area I anticipated, it was overcrowded with children for what could have been an incredible romantic experience, I think we stayed here at an inopportune time.
Positives: I liked the fire pits.
Negatives: The hot tub was overcrowded and dirty. I ended up getting a bad infection because of it.

The hotel is clean and friendly. There happened to be an event the night we stayed, so it was not quiet in the lobby or on the floors. This made our getaway stay a little unpleasant. I would like the opportunity to stay again when not so busy. The pool looked nice, but it was just a little too cold for us to try. Overall the appearance was nice and updated. The staff was friendly and always had a smile.
Positives: The staff was very nice and helpful.
Negatives: The doors to the room are heavy. This made it unpleasant at night with people coming and going, slamming doors.

Nice hotel.
Positives: Laundry service is free, check it out forms are located in closet.
Negatives: Pay for parking, but you can park on the street for free, its a very safe area.

Positives: Parking was costly.
Negatives: Pool

The hotel is conveniently located right off of the freeway, and the public spaces are beautiful. However, once you get to your room, you won't want to stay in there very long. You don't have a coffee maker, and there is no mini-fridge to store things. I asked someone where I could find a vending machine for soda, and was directed to buy a soda from the restaurant bar. They were having some event that night, and I had to wait 20 minutes for my soda.
Positives: Good location. It is right off of the freeway.
Negatives: The rooms are very no frills. There was no refrigerator, and no coffee maker. Should not be 4 star.

Good hotel for 2-3 night. Close to the university and highways. 20 minutes to the dawn town and 30 minutes to the beach.

Positives: Very clean and quite hotel.
Negatives: The parking fees are unreasonable.

Very nice hotel. Not a lot close to this place, but a short drive from a lot of things. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and are top notch. The room was very nice. I did not like that I was charged extra for just about everything I can think of (parking etc). I know some places in the middle of a busy town will charge for parking, however, there really isn't a reason to charge for self parking at this location. And they charge a lot. The breakfast buffet was not worth the money so I would recommend to drive somewhere else. The other restaurants nearby are very nice places but not open for breakfast.
Positives: Hotel staff was the best I have encountered at a hotel. Everyone was very helpful.
Negatives: They charge you for everything in the hotel. Absolutely nothing is included.

A very clean, comfortable and
stylish hotel. The staff offered to print directions for me to places I was going. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I got an excellent deal on Priceline for such a high star hotel.
Positives: Staff did not hesitate to help me find directions and local places of interest.
Negatives: The food was not as good as the ambiance.

The service of the staff from valet, front desk clerk, and bellman was excellent. We requested a refrigerator and a microwave and they were promptly delivered.
Positives: Service of staff was exceptional.
Negatives: I was hoping it was closer to the beach.

Overall, it was nice! The floors were disgusting gross, my daughter was so not allowed to walk without shoes in our room. Was very dirty. Otherwise the staff was great!
Positives: The staff was very helpful and friendly!
Negatives: The floors in our room and bathroom were not clean at all, there was pet hair on the curtains.

Very nice place. Friendly staff! Sometimes with a priceline room you expect to a a view of the dumpsters but we had a beautiful room with a view of the pool.
Positives: Location! Very clean and friendly staff!
Negatives: No pool service (time of year) and no restrooms at the pool.

Negatives: Parking was ridiculously expensive.

It is a very clean hotel. It is nice if you don't want an ocean view. Parking is too expensive and far from the rooms. Street parking was almost nonexistent on a Saturday night. No refrigerator in the room. We had drinks at the bar and the tables with firepits were very nice.
Positives: It was very clean and the firepit outside the bar was romantic.
Negatives: The parking was too far away from our room and very overpriced.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Pool alittle far from rooms but nice pool.
Positives: Clean and friendly staff
Negatives: no vending machines

I prefer hotels where there is at least free WiFi service. The Hyatt hotel chain requires that you pay for this service. In addition, a customer should expect to pay for other services that are now complimentary at most other hotel chains.
Positives: The location was ideal.
Negatives: No free WiFi access.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful visit. The location was great and the staff treated us very well. We were quite pleased.
Positives: It was a beautiful hotel.
Negatives: There should be a free breakfast.

I did not like the fact that everything had a fee, for instance internet was $10.00 per day, parking was $20.00 per day, continental breakfasts were $19.00. Generally these items are included and because of this, we had to park in the street which in itself was a chore because there was no parking spaces available.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: Everything had a surcharge attached to it such as parking and internet.
