I thought $94 was a bit pricey, but we had a sofa, table and a TV. The breakfast was standard, could have had a few more types of cereal. I liked the hard boiled eggs. Since this is CALIFORNIA, oranges would seem to have been a better fresh fruit choice than red Delicious apples.

Positives: The king size bed was outstanding, very comfortable, five great, small pillows: we loved it!

Negatives: Leak in the bathroom, "here are some extra floor mat towels, the handyman doesn't come till Tuesday."

Hotel staff was excellent and helpful. I had nothing to worry about when I checked in and check-out the last thing I'd had to worry about was where I was staying. The rooms were comfortable quite and clean.

Positives: The staff make up for the poor planning of parking lot.

Negatives: The parking lot is the only thing that I'd change of this hotel.

Good location, rooms newly renovated. However, room smelled, just like others had commented on their reviews. Otherwise, clean, and reasonably priced. Just bring air freshener.

There was far more traffic than we anticipated near this hotel. We asked for an inside room but were told they weren't ready yet. At least at night, it wasn't unbearable. The air conditioner was a bit noisy/old and San Diego was humid so it was necessary to use constantly.

Positives: It was close to events we were attending.

Negatives: Too noisy and close to busy intersection; too humid.

The hotel fulfilled its purpose. I wanted somewhere near the Convention Center that was clean and cheap. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I'd happily stay here again.

Positives: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Negatives: Unless you're parking a bicycle the parking stinks.

The location was okay. The room fit our family. The room needed to be aired out, it smelt like cigarette smoke. I think the carpets need to be replaced. The shower was too short so we had to bend down. The hotel clerk was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was great. Probably would not stay there again.

Positives: This room was nice and the bed was big!

Negatives: We had to bend down a little because the shower was too low. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew.

I was in San Diego for my daughter's Freshman Orientation at a college their. I will be going back for four or five days in August and a long weekend in September. I plan to do better homework in selecting a place to stay. I prefer a hotel setting. I thought Comfort was going to be more upscale like the Inn & Suites I spent 3 nights in Weed, CA - July 6-8. I guess the hotel was okay, just my expectations are higher.

Positives: The person that checked us in was outstanding.

Negatives: I expected better for the price.

I appreciated the hotel for the purpose we needed. We didn't plan on being in the room much and mainly slept there. It worked well for that function. Parking was difficult. I loved the location!

Positives: The location was perfect for this trip.

Negatives: Horrible parking!

The hotel is an older property with small rooms. It's location is great for those who want to be close to downtown, the harbor and the airport. It is near attractions like the Balboa park and Old Town San Diego. The property is just very old and in need of some renovation. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I could have gotten a better deal by using my government ID card for the room rate. There are several better (newer) options in the area within a 2 block walk.

Positives: The location is great! Sport fishing across the street. Airport within 1.5 miles.

Negatives: Rated a 3 star, it didn't meet my expectations of 3 star.

I was disappointed in services, size, and noisy guests.

Positives: Rooms were clean.

Negatives: No computer or Internet access as advertised. No microwave. Very small bathroom/shower.

I (we ) couldn't wait to check out. The shower soap was used and left from previous renters. Very low budget place, and should not be recommend by anyone.

Positives: Can't think of anything to recommend.

Negatives: Very old, coffee maker didn't work, not a nice place to stay for the money.
