We were looking for a place of reasonable price and quality as a stopover between Santa Cruz and Monterey. We will keep looking as this hotel did not meet our expectations, particularly for food (food and food service was poor at the hotel and the diner close by). A good cup of coffee was not found at the hotel or anywhere on our route out of Salinas.
Positives: The hotel room was quiet and clean.
Negatives: The continental breakfast was chaotic, poorly stocked and not kept clean and tidy.

This is perfect for a quick, on or two night stay if you need to be in Salinas or need a break from the 101. It is very clean and quiet but I would not recommend staying here for a vacation.

Negatives: The location, no nice restaurants around and the neighborhood was not very nice.

I liked the service and cleanliness of the hotel. The clerk that is available late night when you need them. Parking was difficult when they allow R.V.'s to park in the parking lot. They will allow you to park near drop off, which is nicer than a parking spot!
Positives: Convenience to the areas we were visiting. Clean and comfortable beds.
Negatives: Noise level for children that are running around in the morning.
