We arrived after 9 and the clerk was friendly and helpful. My kids wanted to go for a quick swim before the pool closed at 10. We turned the ac on in the room and went to the pool. The room was still extremely hot after we returned over 30 minutes later. I asked to change rooms and the clerk was very nice about it and moved us two doors down where the ac did not work either. We gave up and slept in the heat. We were on the ground floor so did not feel comfortable sleeping with the door open. The room was also very dirty with a big stain on the curtain and on the bed skirt. I also stepped on a beer cap as I was getting into bed that would have easily been seen if the room had been properly vacuumed. It seemed as if we were in an older section of the hotel that had not had any up keep in too many years.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: The ac did not work and the room was filthy with stained bedding and curtains.

We had a very pleasant experience. The service was incredible. The food was excellent. The warm cookies at check-in were great. Overall, this is a very nice place to stay.

Positives: The service in this hotel was about the best we have experienced. The hotel is older, but has been updated. Nice.

Negatives: Pay for parking.

We had a football game that we were going to see in Sacramento and we used priceline, so we could relax the night before and we were able to do just that, at your hotel.

Positives: It was nice and close to food, stores, and the location we went to visit.

Negatives: Everything was great, nothing negative.

Nice hotel for the money. Staff very nice. $6 day guest parking very reasonable and eliminates the need to excessively circle for parking after staying out late. Would like to see free WiFi or high speed Internet in room and not just the lobby.

Positives: Location, very reasonable self-park rate, cookies upon check in.

Negatives: No free Internet access in room.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, the room was comfortable, they had run out of the large bath soap so we had to use the little bitty ones. The lobby was bright and people friendly, the staff was very pleasant.

Positives: Pleasant staff, clean room, and comfortable bed.

Negatives: No soap, hair in food at restaurant, spoiled my appetite.

Great for the business traveler or shoppers - located across the Arden Fair Mall. Comfortable, good size rooms with enough space to work and relax. Very clean. Friendly staff. Appreciate the great location and plenty of free parking. Wish it had a mini 'fridge then I'd be set!

The Doubletree is a great hotel with clean public areas and rooms, good amenities and friendly staff. The only downside is having to pay for internet access (wired) in your room. Wireless is free in the lobby.

Clean and comfortable. No microwave, fridge, or free wireless internet in room. This was inconvenient. The fee for internet was $10 per day. This really seemed ridiculous in this day and age.

Positives: Comfortable and

Negatives: No free wireless internet in room.

The cleaning staff missed my room. When I pointed it out to them, they said that they had already cleaned the room. She came back with excuses on why the room was not cleaned but cleaned it. At check out the front desk was extremely apologetic and comped me a movie for the situation.

Positives: The front desk staff and bellhops were extremely helpful and friendly.

Negatives: The cleaning staff did not clean the room and were not planning to. Had to point it out to them.

For one night the hotel was fine; we stay in Arden Way about once a month to visit my mother who is in a nursing home. The Doubletree is the best out of the ones - Radisson, Red Lion ,etc. So we're always happy to be at the Doubletree.

Positives: Cookies.

Negatives: No shower cap; previous guest leave her nightgown in the bathroom; lack of attention to detail.

Overall nice hotel. Huge property. Long uneven drive through parking lot to the back. Caught a AC/DC tribute act here, band name Riff Raff. They were awesome. The price was right. If prices were higher in Sacramento, I would cancel business up there. Golf, restaurants etc. would lose business.

Positives: Comfortable beds, Clean and Quiet.

Negatives: TV is old. Long uneven drive through parking lot to the back.
