This is a nice clean hotel walking distance to restaurants and the Capitol. Room was nicely remodeled, but the windows are still very old which makes it a little noisy even at the 3rd floor. Overall, good experience and would recommend to other travelers.
Positives: Clean hotel, close to Capitol, friendly staff.
Negatives: Windows are old and thin.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Holiday Inn Express - staff was friendly, rooms and facilities were very nice. Wish I'd had time to use the fitness room and the pool.
Positives: Rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Location was not the best, but not terrible either - in a location with many other hotels.

The hotel was recently refurbished so the carpet, drapes and bedding was new and fresh. It was very clean overall. You could tell that it was an older hotel but nicely done over. The complimentary breakfast was great and we were also given a complimentary drink at the sister-property, the Clarion, next door. Nice touch! The staff was very friendly and pleasant.
Positives: Great for downtown business or visiting sights in Downtown Sacramento.
Negatives: If I was traveling for leisure, I would not want to stay in the city.

Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Sacramento near the capital. It has easy access to major roads, yet the inn was quiet and attractive inside. Breakfast buffet was adequate. The dining area was large and airy. An exercise room is located off the elevator. We found the hotel comfortable.
Positives: Attractive, quiet. Easy access to major roads.
Negatives: Would like to see whole grains at breakfast.

It was a standard mid-scale hotel room. The staff was good about answering problems (which were more questions on my part). I like having a radio that works in the room. The shower was as advertised.
Positives: It was easy to get into the parking lot and plenty of spaces.
Negatives: Its hard to regulate the air conditioner.

It was much better than I expected for a 2 star. They had a nice breakfast, and for a quick stay for the money it was okay.
Positives: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: The halls smelled like cigarette smoke even though they told me it was a non-smoking facility.
