The lobby is grubby. The room was tired and noisy with a TV a that sort of worked.
Positives: Easy to find.
Negatives: Lobby, TV, bed, towels, coffee and AC.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The location was convenient with shuttle service to the airport. Staying over the last day for a departing flight without a rental car was perfect as there was good food for room service, a pool and nice walks to take nearby where the American and Sacramento river meet. The pool water was cold, but refreshing as Sacramento tends to be hot even in the Spring.
Positives: Close to beach. Nice walk along the river to historic downtown. Convenient access right next to a major freeway.
Negatives: Few TV channel options. Premium channels expensive for short programs. No refrigerator or microwave.

I was very impressed with the quality of this hotel! I brought a group of teenagers to Sacramento for a youth convention and this hotel had the best price for the amount of rooms that I needed. The rooms were exceptionally clean.
Positives: Clean, well-maintained, central location.
Negatives: Check-in took longer than I would have liked...slow computers.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable and easy to locate. The bed was comfortable, the price was affordable, and everything was set up the way I liked it. We will probably go back there again some other time when we are in the area.
Positives: Clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Nothing.

The grounds and lobby were very neat, fresh and clean. The staff person was very friendly. The room was on the small side, but for a short stay that was not a problem. Nice, quiet location easily accessible to downtown and easy to find. The beds were nice and fresh with great pillows. Good number of entertainment options on the TV, though fairly cost prohibitive to order. Decent continental breakfast choices. We were quite comfortable and would definitely stay here again.
Positives: The sheets and pillows were pristine (a nice white damask stripe) and very comfortable.
Negatives: A third set of towels readily available would be nice in a room with two beds.

Stayed at this hotel based on proximity to the airport and ease of getting on/off expressway. It met all our expectations, ease of checking in and the lady at the desk was very friendly and polite. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay as a crash spot before a day of traveling back home.
Positives: Overall it was clean, economical and close to the airport, which is why we chose it.
Negatives: There was a faint musty smell in the room. Only one wash cloth.

I was not very satisfied with my stay at La Quinta. The staff is rude. The elevator floors were disgusting, which made me feel like I was at a cheap hotel almost immediately. Upon my arrival to my room at 2:00 am, my room door was wide open, which left me nervous to go in. I called the front desk and told them that my room was open and that I did not want to stay in that room. They instead put my in the room directly next door, which didn't ease my discomfort much. The housecleaning never came during my four day stay and when I requested towels, they told me that I would have to pick them up from the front desk which was in a completely different building. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family, in fact, I would most likely strongly discourage them from rooming here.
Positives: Complimentary breakfast.
Negatives: Dirty, unfriendly and inconvenient.

The hotel was very nice along with staff. Breakfast could've included some eggs, bacon, or sausages. Parking was a little inconvenient as they were redoing the parking lot, however, I'm sure it's beautiful now. The price was not so bad either!
Positives: Great room!
Negatives: Asphalt was being done and we had to park away from elevator.

I asked for a non-smoking room and had a smoking room. The stale smoke odor was terrible. I arrived at 1:00 pm. I spoke with hotel staff the next morning about my experience and was given a well too bad too sad type of attitude.
Positives: Location. It was right off of I-5.
Negatives: I asked for a non-smoking room and had a smoking room. The stale smoke odor was terrible.

The hotel met our needs as we were only staying one night. Room and pool were clean, and we enjoyed having a breakfast before we left the following day.
Positives: Having a nice waffle/cont. breakfast available.
Negatives: The air conditioner would not turn off and the hair dryer came off the wall.

The location was easily accessible. The continental breakfast bar was great. The staff didn't answer the phone at night and the sink was plugged.

We were put in a handicap room and the commode was so tall my feet wouldn't hit the floor and I'm 5-9. It was not pleasant.
Positives: Close to freeway.
Negatives: The room was small and the bathroom for old people!

The location was o.k. And is very close to Downtown. I will be doing a lot of traveling to this area and after the response I received from the front desk staff with concerns I had I do not think I will use them on a weekly basis. Where I was located was actually very quiet which I was grateful for but the sagging bed (and it stated at LaQuinta that all beds were new and pillow top) and the burned out outlets where my laptop was supposed to go really made my staff awful. I will not stay there again especially when I brought this up to the front desk and I was told "all our beds are like that and there is nothing we can do". When I told them about the outlets (2) that did not work they told me they would take care of them but did not and never even bothered to ask me what room I was in. I even had to ask him if he wanted to know where the problems where and he said no that the maids would figure it out. How horribly insulting. Do not stay here.
Positives: The location was only 1 mile to where I was teaching.
Negatives: I brought up burned out outlets and bad bed and the staff blew me off (didn't ask room number).

Excellent location for the long-distance traveler going down highway 5.
Positives: Price, comfort and convenience.
Negatives: Nothing.

Got to hotel to check in and was told I was in a non smoking room which I had asked for. They gave me a room that was already occupied and smoking. Thank god know one was in the room when I opened the door. Walked back to office from the 3rd floor, told the front desk what happened and got no apology or nothing, just got me another key for a different room. Told front desk I would not be needed the room for the last night, to the p.m. shift very rude while they explained to me that they are not going to give me money back. Check about the next morning and went to the front desk and the a.m. The room was okay, nothing special. But maid staff kept it nice and clean while I stayed. Other than the staff at night, my stay was okay.
Positives: The front desk staff in the morning is much better then the swing shift!
Negatives: Did not like the front desk staff on swing, no people skills what so ever!

We only stayed one night but when we got to airport on internet, it said free shuttle until 10:30 pm got in at 10:15 called and they said free shuttle stopped at 10:00 pm. My husband and I were stuck at airport for over two hours with small children trying to find a ride to hotel finally at 12:30 rented car at $78.00 for 4 hrs wasn't happy. Children were upset, we didn't get to relax at all. Then we had to leave early so they didn't get to enjoy swimming pool or hot tub or any of the amenities we asked for.
Positives: Close to airport & good room rates.
Negatives: Free shuttle only runs until 10pm not late enough!
