Nice and clean hotel. Comfortable room with luxury bedding. Don't get that room which will have a view of the entry roof peak and the parking lot flag pole. The hotel was not crowded so when I checked in at 10 p.m. I asked for a room on the river view side, and I was told because it was a discount. I could not have a room with a view. I do frequently visit hotels that will show a little more courtesy to a woman traveling alone. I got money and want to be treated as good as the business traveler, so that roof view and flag-pole left me disappointed. Petaluma was home years ago and I was back to visit.
Positives: Clean, safe location, plenty of free parking.
Negatives: No restaurants or shops nearby.

Hotel was clean upscale and high end linens. did not eat in restaurant. Staff was willing and able to upgrade us but the room offered did not suit needs.
Positives: Upscale linens, super clean rooms, water view.
Negatives: No entry.

Negatives: Sheets were stiff and loud.

The first night was terrible. There was something disgusting stuck to the ceiling and the toilet didn't work. It took them from 6:30 p.m. to after 11 p.m. to resolve the problems. They finally decided to move us to a different room. Also, the restaurant told us we could order room service from our room. When we told them that we didn't have a menu, they said they'd send one up. We went up and waited 30 minutes before we finally decided to go back down to order. Then they called the room to say they were out of one of the items, would we like to order something else. I said we still didn't have a menu. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and not tasty. They were definitely understaffed. The second night at 4 a.m., a crazy person was slamming some large object against the wall repeatedly until the police came to take her away. Needless to say, it was not a restful stay.
Positives: The beds were comfortable and there wasn't any road noise.
Negatives: The toilet didn't work and it took them until 11 p.m. to resolve it.

This hotel had it all. Good location for access to wine country, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained. Did not try the restaurant but the menu looked appealing.

Negatives: It was all good.

Clean, appealing setting by the inlet with the boats docked in the front.
Positives: Close to the freeway. Easy to get to.
Negatives: They advertised a complimentary breakfast. However, they did not say it was just for gold card holders.

I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel, but it is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would have liked the hotel's rewards amenities (afternoon snacks, continental breakfast) to be available on weekends and Monday.
Positives: Clean and quiet.
Negatives: Restaurant was just okay.

Easy to find from the 101 Highway. This hotel had a upscale but cozy feel. I would look foward to staying there again.
Positives: Restful upscale feel.
Negatives: The granite was coming away from the wall in the bathroom.

The Sheraton Petaluma is in a beautiful location on the marina of the Petaluma River. Close to great restaurants and convenient to the freeway for easy access to San Francisco or the wine country. Friendly and personable staff - beautifully decorated rooms. Dog friendly which is great if you love dogs. I don't - at least not in a hotel.
Positives: Great location and easy access to freeway.
Negatives: Dogs barking as I walked down the hallway.

I have no problem with this property as it met my expectations and is a lovely property, with a friendly, helpful staff. The room was above average and I had a comfortable restful night. Otherwise, I would recommend it for the business or leisure traveler.
Positives: Nice room, upscale bedding and very friendly staff.
Negatives: It was 25 miles out of my way! Not near enough to Santa Rosa.

Had to pay an additional $20 to hotel to get 2 beds.
Positives: Right off the highway.
Negatives: Prefer queen beds were not double.

The hotel was great. It was easy to get to, clean, attractive, with large rooms. The staff was friendly. The pool and spa were nice. We were going back and forth to the Healdsburg area, though, and that's quite a drive when traffic is heavy, which it seems to be much of the time through Santa Rosa.
Positives: Lobby area was beautiful. Pool and spa nice. Room was clean and spacious and nicely decorated.
Negatives: It was a little far from our destination, which was north of Santa Rosa.

It was unknown to me that this was a non-smoking hotel. Since I am a smoker I felt this was incontinent for me. I would have liked to know a head of time, then I would have the option of nitpicking this hotel.
Positives: Very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: There were no smoking rooms.

I have never been to a hotel that charges in its business center. I needed to print out my boarding pass and I had to pay to get on their computer, even though I had already paid for Wi-Fi in my room. Then the printer didn't work! The desk person printed it out, but it left a bad feeling for me. Also, the hotel didn't provide a "map" of the hotel, or tell the offerings there, even though there was a wonderful walk around the marina, and a natural preserve for wildlife next door. Shame on Sheraton for that! Other than that, the hotel was wonderful, comfortable, easy to get to and friendly service.
Positives: The Early Bird Dinner price was great, as was the excellence of the food, and service.
Negatives: The "business center" was inconvenient, costly, and the printer didn't work.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is very well kept up and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant, lounge and room service was good. Love the walking trail.
Positives: The staff was great, restaurant, lounge, room service good hotel clean.
Negatives: Because hotel was busy we got stuck with small cramped room.

Its a very nice hotel. No complaints except I wish it had free high speed internet like so many other hotels do nowadays. Todays (the hotel restaurant) was fabulous!
Positives: Dinner at the restaurant was fabulous!
Negatives: It would be nice if it had free high speed like so many other hotels do.
