The hotel staff was friendly and offered us a choice of floors for our room. We always prefer the top floor and that was no problem. It was also convenient to the location where we had plans. The only downside was a fan that ran all night.
Positives: They offered us a choice of room floors.
Negatives: There was a fan running all night.

The hotel was recently updated. The room was very clean and roomy. The elevators were slow and parking a little cramped. Overall I liked the room and would stay again but would like a better price.
Positives: The hotel was very clean and had rather nice rooms.
Negatives: Although nice, it wasn't exactly a four star hotel.

The hotel has a great Workout facility with free weights, core balance balls, Elliptical, treadmills, etc. The outdoor pool is beautiful and kept at a comfortable temperature for use on even a cool night. The hot tub was great. I loved the touches of chocolate on the pillow, turn down service and robes in the room. The bathrooms are large and very nice. You are within walking distance of downtown Palo Alto and Whole Foods is just a few blocks away so no need to pay the $5 per bottle of water in the room! Definitely would stay there again.
Positives: Robes in the room, pool, workout facilities, late check out.
Negatives: Daily parking fee, daily internet access fee.

The westin Palo alto a beautiful hotel, located very close the shopping center and main drag of Palo alto. The particular room I stayed in was a luxury suite, and it lived up to its name, with it's enormous bathroom and jet tub, luxurious and soft bed, fireplace, interior courtyard views, and plentiful extras like a stocked mini-bar and complimentary water (it seems these days that you often have to pay for the bottled water). While twice the front desk made errors in taking down information or giving it from one shift to another, they also corrected their errors with speed and great helpfulness. I would recommend the westin to anyone who has the desire for a luxury experience on the mid-peninsula of the bay area.
Positives: Beautiful room, quality linens, extremely clean, excellent customer service.
Negatives: They made two booking errors (which they corrected) which caused inconvenience and wasted time.

I was very pleased with this hotel. It was beautiful, clean, and had wonderful amenities. I honestly don't know how you can rate this hotel a four star and the Wilshire Grand in Los Angeles a 4 star (which I stayed at earlier in the week). They are not the least bit comparable.
Positives: Beautiful room and hotel! Very clean and wonderful amenities!
Negatives: I ordered room service twice. The selection was not very good and some how a $12 sandwich always ended up being $30,

This is a very clean and convenient hotel. The staff was very responsive. I was allergic to the down bedding and they were there almost immediately to replace everything. They also were informative about where I could go for dinner.
Positives: Beautiful lobby areas, close to downtown, quiet.
Negatives: Not enough vegetarian options in the restaurant.

I would recommend this hotel for its high thread count linens and the particularly nice toiletries provided in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and there was complimentary coffee in the lobby. Nice!
