Everything was excellent, was a bit pricey for food. Overall we would go back if we ever go to Palm Desert again.

Positives: Very attractive outdoor landscaping..

The hotel is nice, older, but has everything you need right on the premises.

Positives: I liked the pool area and the many options for dining on the premises.

Negatives: The room didn't appear 4-star; in need of a renovation in my opinion.

For the reduced price, it was a good hotel. I would have been
disappointed if I had paid the full price for this hotel. I think I prefer smaller hotels.

Positives: Lobby bar area was good.

Negatives: Only had one upscale restaurant and it was disappointing. Bright lights.

I enjoyed the hotel very much. We normally go to Palm Desert every January and this time around we had wonderful weather. Probably the thing that made it even better was the deal we got through Priceline.

Positives: Clean, comfortable, good fitness room.

Negatives: A little too far from the main strip.

I was for the most part very impressed with the hotel and facilities. The wonder whether the room air conditioner would be of any use during hotter months as it was noisy and too small for the size of the room. I made a very short international phone call to Australia (approx 4 minutes) and was charged $44! I felt that was excessive. Use of broadband in the business centre is also expensive. There are some nice stores onsite, but unfortunately I was busy during their business hours so wasn't able to take a closer look. Otherwise, my room was nice and the bathroom was huge.

Positives: Beautiful venue, great facilities and

Negatives: Noisy at night time.

It is a wonderful hotel to stay for long periods as it has so many fantastic pools, golf, and other facilities. The hotel lobby must be unique in that it has a small jetty where boats dock picking up/dropping off hotel guests for either trips around the lakes or using to access the restaurants around the lake area.

Positives: Everything was superb.

Negatives: Nothing I didn't like

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Great atmosphere, amazing view, friendly staff, and nice activities right at the hotel.

Positives: The spa resort was absolutely relaxing and the pools were very open and not crowded.

Negatives: Pricey restaurants.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 22 May 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Fabulous.

Positives: Beautiful lobby where we sat and had drinks and sushi on comfy couches.

Negatives: Our room was far from lobby/parking.

Great service. Clean facilities - loved the boat ride. The main lounge/lobby was extremely inviting. The pools were beautiful. Good food. Enjoyed the Easter Egg hunt - my two sons want to come back every year. THANK YOU!

Positives: I enjoyed the remodel. All the staff was friendly from the bell men, to the check in staff to the pool staff who helped me find two chairs!

Negatives: The location of our room was right above the main lounge and lobby, so the noise was heard in our room.

We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again in the near future! We were very pleased with the price.

Positives: It is beautiful upon arrival! Beautiful scenery immediately captured our attention! Our room was nice and spacious too.

Negatives: Our shower stall was small! Not fun. Parking, internet and menus were a bit on the pricey side but worth it.

Would definitely recommend this place. Clean and beautiful. Sat at the bar and split a sandwich which was tasty. They were initially not as attentive as we would have expected, but eventually made up for it. It was Valentine's as well, so a very busy day, obviously.

Positives: Just an overall very nice place to stay. Beds were very comfortable.

Negatives: Couldn't figure out how to regulate air. A little warm, so ended up sleeping with door open and geese squawking.

It is one of the nicer hotel/resorts in the area and an outstanding value through Priceline.

Positives: Beautiful grounds and property. Spacious and clean room. Excellent value.

Negatives: Charged $25 per day for resort fee without prior notice and we did not use pool, etc..

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 20 Jan 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The hotel is beautiful and serene. The golf courses and activities provide for a ton to do - with both adults and kids! Definitely will stay there again!

Positives: I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It was lively, but relaxed.

Negatives: I wish they did not charge for parking since there is so much room out there.

I
did like the hotel and would return again.
I would have enjoyed my stay more if the rooms were a little more updated and if the pool area was upgraded a bit.

Extremely loud all day and night.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: This hotel is a spring break party place. It was terrible. Way to loud in the hall way even after 11 pm. There is a club located in the hotel too loud.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 22 Apr 2009 rated 9 out of 10.

Lovely hotel, lively but classy. Excellent staff. Overpriced food, but many dining options in area so not an issue for us. Water provided everywhere for free. Is a place for families and singles. Fun overall!

Positives: Amazing, excellent customer service! Bent over backwards to give us what we needed. Many free items.

Negatives: Main pool was crowded, staff checked bags for opened containers, confiscated water.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 20 Apr 2009 rated 8 out of 10.

The hotel is very nice. The kids enjoyed the boats, the pool, the birds. The activities for the kids, ie golf, tennis, lawn games are great. This is the only hotel in the area that charges for each activity. The activities at other facilities are part of the experience and included in the price.

Positives: The use of facilities and showers on check out day. Starbucks!

Negatives: Requested two rooms close together on a low floor, but had 6th floor, rooms far apart. The concierge on phone, ignored 3 x's.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 16 Feb 2009 rated 10 out of 10.

As a day trip from San Diego, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and great facilities contribute make you wish you could stay forever.

Positives: Large clean rooms with every imaginable amenity

Negatives: Have to pay extra for parking, internet

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 03 Jan 2009 rated 9 out of 10.

This is a wonderful facility offering a variety of business and leisure options. Close to town yet isolated in its own right, it offers seclusion without being in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff, high quality food, beautiful greens, and comfortable rooms all at a reasonable price.

Positives: For those who desire to be indulgent, this is a very good option.

Negatives: No treats on the pillow upon turn-down.

Very nice but set up for the wealthy client. Elevator convenience very poor

Positives: Convenience.

Negatives: Few elevators, parking poor.

The Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa is a beautiful hotel on a very nice property. Our room was way at the end of the east wing, directly overlooking the lake. In the evening they offer free boat rides that begin within the lobby. The property has a nice, large pool area, 2 golf courses, and several restaurant options. The room itself was very nice and large - it had two extremely comfortable full-sized beds with amazing linens & pillows, a shower and a bathtub, a huge flat screen TV, and a nice balcony with a couple chairs. It was a bit of a trek from our room to the lobby, but it wasn't that bad because we weren't directly overlooking the pool so there was less noise. Make sure you get a room over the lake if you can, and not facing the parking lot. The staff was very nice and accommodating and every one of them I saw in the hallway was sure to say hello. Security was around, but they didn't seem to care that this place is a 4-star resort that caters to families and couples. It was really obnoxious! However, I was able to tune it out for the most part and enjoy my stay. The poolside bar & grill was nice, as was the breakfast buffet at the lakeside restaurant. Overall, I would recommend the resort, but if you are looking for a very relaxing time, maybe mid-week would be better than on the weekend.

Positives: The entire facility was gorgeous and the staff very friendly.

Negatives: The pool was very loud and full of drunk/rowdy/obnoxious guys. Security didn't seem to care.

There was a great for security at pool facilities, cops and undercover, that staff was rude, they searched my young minor daughter's bag while she was trying to enter pool by herself, while they had a whole pool full of Iranian males in pool being rowdy. They also stopped her another time when she was trying to bring a bag of popcorn that she bought at their facility. Pretty ridiculous. Makes one wonder what's going on there.

Positives: Beautiful atmosphere, great beds, wonderful grounds.

Negatives: Security staff.

We felt good at this hotel, but one thing that bothered us was, that everything you wanted to have cost money, where in other hotels doesn't cost. Like: internet for our laptop, you want to rent a movie from the TV, every where else cost around 8-9$, it costs $14, things at the pool to play with. The night club at the hotel cost entrance the same as people coming not from the hotel, and so on and on. Over all was very good, the kids loved it there.

Positives: Friendly staff, and the atmosphere was very good.

Negatives: We felt that beside the room, everything else cost money-like all exclusive!
