Beautiful hotel nestled amongst the cottonwood trees by a very pretty river. The rooms were clean, attractively decorated, and very comfortable.
Positives: I like having complimentary breakfast over the river.
Negatives: They seemed to have a little trouble keeping up with breakfast demand.

Perfectly nice hotel not too far from downtown. Nicely appointed rooms and bar area. Friendly bar tender. Nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either.
Positives: Little out of the way. Nice bar area and breakfast.
Negatives: Little out of the way.

Hotel was great, staff was really helpful.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Road works right outside, no pavements to walk into town.

This is the first time I've been in a hotel in the middle of Napa. Sorry to say that we got there late and had to check out at 11am. I would have preferred a later check out. Free parking is definitely a plus, including the free internet. I would have guessed that a hotel like this would have charged extra for both. Check in could have been better. Front desk guy was not friendly. Didn't ask what kind of bed we wanted.
Positives: Free internet, great location, comfortable bed, huge shower.
Negatives: Front desk staff could have asked questions, bathroom door.

Great rooms; ugly location down the street from a Walmart.
Positives: Size of the room; quality of the bathroom (we were upgraded).
Negatives: Perfunctory service.

Very friendly staff. DVDs to borrow and watch were a plus with DVD players in every room. Breakfast was adequate and certainly better than paying $10-15 per person. Room was spacious and double luggage bench was very convenient. Plenty of seating space too.
Positives: Free loaner DVD movies to play in the room.
Negatives: It was not easy to locate because of small signage.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Places to stay in Napa tend to be very expensive and not all of them are worth it. We had a riverside room with a great Jacuzzi tub and very comfortable bed. The best part is that we realized after we checked out that we left a camera on the deck. We called the front desk and they had it waiting for us when we returned an hour later. Great service. All smiles.
Positives: Convenient location. Nice view of Napa River, good breakfast.
Negatives: Walls are a little thin.

Very nice, clean, updated, grand. Rooms were spacious, modern, and luxurious. Our room had the best hotel bathroom that I've ever seen; roomy, clean -not typical institutional style -reminded me of something you'd see in a magazine. Free breakfast was high quality and many things to chose from. I would certainly go back again.
Positives: Had a selection of DVDs at the fron desk; each room could borrow 2. Very nice touch. Loved watching on flat panel TV in room.
Negatives: No fireplace in room.

Beautiful hotel on the river. Nicely appointed. 1st night, we were given 1st floor very small room with parking lot view. Asked for something else and staff said no nothing available till following week, not very pleasant or easy to work with. For our second night, we checked with hotel staff the 2nd morning asked for a 2nd floor room with a view. The staff was very accommodating.
Positives: On the river, nice continental buffet, very pretty.
Negatives: 1st night there, placed on 1st floor facing parking lot.

The hotel is lovely, and sits next to the Napa River. They have a wonderful complimentary buffet breakfast and lovely patio seating. They were very helpful with directions and suggestions.
Positives: The hotel was beautiful, scenic, and had a wonderful complimentary breakfast.
Negatives: There was a loud humming noise from below or above our room 214 which was constant through the night.

Great staff and good value for the money. The inclusion of breakfast was a major plus! As a Napa location it is perfect for seeing the lower section of wine country.
Positives: Staff attention and recommendations.
Negatives: A romantic setting overrun with children. Unfortunate.

This hotel was nice in it's appearance and amenities. Overall I had a nice overnight stay.
Positives: Very nice room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom.
Negatives: The exercise room was inadequate.

For business travel this is a great hotel. It is nice, clean and upscale for business travel. For someone wanting to have a romantic time in wine country it doesn't really cut it because it just feels too geared to the business traveler.
Positives: The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was great.
Negatives: It felt like a business hotel, although it was close to Downtown the surrounding area was uninteresting.

Beautiful hotel in a great location off the highway so none of the traffic noise. Room was beautiful and very clean. I would definitely recommend this to people visiting wine country. You don't want to be too close to the highway. Also, close to the wineries. We didn't have to drive very far every morning to go wine tasting. Also close to all the nice places in town.
Positives: Great quiet location near to the wineries.
Negatives: Breakfast buffet was sparse and on Thursday, stale.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel, and will come back again. The staff was great, the food was beyond our expectations, and most especially, its location to the wine country and charming Downtown was wonderful.
Positives: The complimentary full breakfast exceeded our expectations.
Negatives: The room we stayed in was a little small.

Very nice hotel. Clean, well-appointed rooms. Nice pool and view of ducks, geese and river in back.
Positives: The included buffet breakfast was nice.
Negatives: It's a bit of a jaunt from the highway.

I would not give it a 3 star hotel but more like a 2 star hotel.
Positives: Room was very nice.
Negatives: Restaurant not very convenient.

I think I was expecting more with a name like River Terrace. I thought we might have a river setting or some type of view. It felt very motely. Very average. Maybe if we had had a view. I asked about an upgrade she said for another $75. We could have a better room with a view. The hotel was not full.
Positives: The concierge was excellent.
Negatives: Location and approach.

Excellent location, fantastic, clean rooms with balconies, famous totally free breakfast every morning, I'd give this hotel 4 start easily. Beats Fairmont in Sonoma by far for less money.
Positives: Excellent, large bathrooms. Gorgeous!
Negatives: Construction next door.

The location is convenient, downtown location. Our room was clean, the 37" LCD TV was nice with DVD player. The bed and pillows were comfortable. One downside was the window has no screen, so leaving the window open is not advisable. A couple of mosquitoes came in our room when our window was left open. But overall, it was a pleasant stay and would recommend.
Positives: Rooms are clean and location is convenient.
Negatives: Windows have no screen once opened.
