This hotel was convenient to Yosemite. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean.

Positives: The staff was very Friendly & helpful.

Negatives: The bedding & mattresses were worn & very outdated. Continental breakfast was very minimal.

The first room they put us in was very small and the water in the bathtub ran all night. We were changed to another room after we complained. This room was almost twice the size of the other one. We were told if we needed anything we had to call or come by office but most of the time when we went through the front there was no one there. We did like being able to get our e-mails from the computer in the lobby. The back door to the parking area was never locked.

Positives: The kids who worked there were friendly. When water leaked all night they changed our room.

Negatives: Back door always unlocked. Breakfast scanty-cereal,bread & coffee.

Hotel conveniently located. It badly needs redecorating in public areas. Carpets are very stained. Breakfast choices good and staff regularly refilling drinks. No microwave and no fridge in room.

Positives: Hotel was conveniently located near Yosemite.

Negatives: Did not have fridge or microwave in room.

Multiple floors, hallways in disrepair but the rooms are fine.

Positives: Large rooms.

Negatives: Small sign, drove by it the first time.

The place was filthy. Carpets dirty and patched and torn in halls and elevator area. Found dirty water in the refrigerator and the coffee pot was sitting in water. I asked for towels and cleaned up water myself. I had to climb on a chair to fix the drapery hooks to close the drapes. One of the pillows was so lumpy I asked for new pillows. There were wires sticking unprotected on the wall on the lower level rear door so it would not lock. No type of security with door not even closing totally. Could not check into room on time because the desk girl said that only 1 person was cleaning 20 rooms by herself. Not much cleaning was done that day and obviously not for a long time. The pop machine and the juice machine were out of order. We moved the next day and at a cheaper rate and had a wonderful experience. There should be check for health and safety violations. I have traveled extensively and this is the worst I have ever seen.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Everything.

This Super 8 is in downtown Mariposa close to many fine restaurants and good birding. The staff is helpful and responsive. Breakfast is cold breads and fruit, fine but not special. We got a good deal on a room crowded with three double beds, an economical choice for our family which includes two teenagers. Very clean but limited public space (lobby, business area).

Positives: The manager was extraordinarily helpful. We liked the location in downtown Mariposa.

Negatives: Outer back doors were not kept locked, even at night.

Dirty and bad facilities let me don¿t choose it again. My bathroom's fan not works, I told the manager (lady, Indian) but didn¿t repair/change it, and the air is so wet after we take shower.

Positives: Good location and free breakfast.

Negatives: Many ants in lunch room table and a brainsick man always trouble me.

Simply put, it was the worst night of our 10 day trip to California. I really can't say anything good, so it is better to say nothing at all. We would never stay here again, we would sleep in the car on the edge of the freeway instead. Dirty eating area, dirty lobby, dirty hallways, dirty backyard, filthy pool, under renovation but they should have closed during this disheveled time.

Positives: Our car did not get stolen.

Negatives: Everything else.

While the hotel is in a cute little town close to a gate of Yosemite that is all it has going for it. They are currently undergoing much needed renovations and thought the walls and building need upgrades so do the rooms! Our pillows were flat and were more thin than a sheet of paper (I'm not exaggerating). The room smelled of must and mildew and once we climbed into bed my family and I realized the sheets and blankets smelled of mildew and slept without covers for the night. It was a horrible night and it wasn't worth the money we spent on the hotel... as a matter of fact - I wouldn't have spent $10 and been okay with it.

Positives: It was in a cute little town.

Negatives: The room was small, the pillows were flat, it was a horrible stay and I hope to never go back.

Probable the most miserable experience in my many years of travel. The entire hotel was filthy, the "owner" should be banned from ever handling the public, rude, loud, screaming at the dog and her son. The swimming pool was mossy green and the grounds were garbage strewn and uncared for. I truly hope you take this off of your list of options.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Filthy, rude management, slimy green pool, garbage around grounds, growling dog of owners in lobby.

This super 8 in mariposa, ca, was just terrible. reception area including "breakfast" facility was very dirty and smelled badly of animals. quote: "don't put anything on the table, it will break down." for almost usd 100/night, completely ridiculous and a very bad sign for the super 8 chain. looking forward to your comments to sven.lang@ey.com.

Positives: Sorry, but there was nothing you could like.

Negatives: One of the worst motels I've ever been in.

We arrived and when we walked in we were hit with the stench of cooking cabbage (my husband said it smelled like dirty feet!) They were renovating and the old carpet was out in the parking lot in a big pile. There was furniture stacked in storage closets with the doors wide open. We wanted to get something cold to drink, the machines were empty, and the person told us we would have to go to the store down the road. We asked to speak to a manager, and were given a card to fill out and mail in. We will never go back again.

Positives: Nothing to say.

Negatives: The hotel smelled awful, vending machines empty, garbage in the parking lot.

This hotel was being remodeled, the rooms had been painted, but hadn't been cleaned. Floors were dirty, paint splattered on floors. Hallways filthy. Kitchen area filthy, good all over the floor, counter tops not clean. Tables not wiped off. An overall real mess!

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Filthy.
