Positives: Nice size room; like having the kitchen!

Negatives: No upgrade path for Priceline bidding customers; stuck with one bed for 4 people.

Service very friendly & accommodating (with the one acceptation of them telling my son we couldn't take any towels to beach).

Perfect for a family or business traveler, but not for a single night stay or single traveling. I was surprised and disappointed that this is what I was given by Priceline when I requested a 3 star hotel. The hotel furnishings are utilitarian but adequate, dated but clean. The pool and breakfast served in the am were excellent.

Positives: Breakfast was good. Rooms large and clean.

Negatives: Parking, stairs with no elevator for luggage on upper level. Rooms dated but clean.

Very good experience for a hotel in this location. Would be very nice for long stay or a family. Rooms were exceptionally clean for this level of hotel.

Positives: Very clean, helpful staff. Looks like rooms were just remodeled.

Negatives: Rooms smelled a little musty, but it was close to ocean.

Convenient location, lots of space in the room. Very well equipped kitchen Some updates like the bed, pillows, shower are great. Smelled a bit like stale smoke in a non smoking facility. Carpet had burns a was dirty.

I tried to not have any expectations of this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff was extraordinarily friendly during check in, breakfast, and check out. That definitely left a good feeling from the start. The only negative part of the experience was all of the compact parking. There are a few larger spots scattered around, but none available near our room. We had to park around the other side, but luckily the place is not that big. Normally I don't mind walking, but I had my toddler and all of his baby items to lug around. The room itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen was a bit dated, but met our needs. The bed was very soft, the pull out wasn't too comfortable. I also liked that the bathroom was a bit more separated from the living space. Overall, the room was nice. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations. There were so many choices (breakfast burrito, Canadian ham, pita pockets, scrambled eggs, cereal (3 choices), milks, yogurts, juices, bagels, breads, coffee, tea, granola, and a make it yourself waffle station. I'm sure there was more, but that is pretty much the main items. The dining area inside was smaller, but there was also dining out near the pool. The hotel definitely impressed with the breakfast spread! Overall, a good experience.

Positives: The hotel had a surprisingly wonderful breakfast and spacious rooms.

Negatives: The parking was very tight. Most were compact and we had a large SUV.

I was very pleased with the Residence Inn-Manhattan Beach. It was priced right and in a good location. The rooms are very spacious and have large plasma televisions and full kitchen. It was extremely comfortable and perfect for someone traveling with Children. The kitchen is somewhat dated, but not a deterrent in any way. Heck, if you've got a problem with the kitchen they have a nice stainless steal BBQ grill right outside. The facilities/amenities can't be beat for the price. They offered a full breakfast, including ham, eggs, waffles, cereal, pastries, etc, a nice pool area and a basketball court. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a good value. The room was basic - not any level of luxury. My room was on the back of the property overlooking a car dealership. My room was clean and comfortable and relatively quiet.

I've never stayed at a Residence Inn and I have to say, I was really blown away. The room was like a studio apartment, with a living area, sleeping area, full kitchen and bathroom. Plus - it had a functioning fireplace! It was awesome to have a fire going (real wood fire at that). The check in staff was incredibly pleasant, and the free breakfast wasn't just some rolls and sliced fruit, it was a full on buffet breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean. Great complimentary breakfast. Rooms are well equipped with a full kitchen. Great for long-term stays. This is not a luxury hotel but it serves a family well, especially for the price.

Negatives: Room was very damp, muggy. Did not cool off when we ran the AC.

The hotel provided a slightly better than average free breakfast in a spacious breakfast room. Also there was a happy hour with free soup, salad, beer and wine. I am no fan of chain hotels but I would go once again.

Positives: It was very quiet. It had a kitchen. Close to LAX and beach.

Negatives: The hotel is not within walking distance of eating places, cafes or beach.

The Residence Inn easily is the best chain for the family or the business traveler. They are always friendly and go our of their way to may my stay comfortable and restful. The rooms are always clean and all amenities are always there as expected. Never any unpleasant surprises.

Positives: Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and convenient room.

Negatives: Parking for one car only.
