Lovely room and very impressive decor and architecture all over the building.Friendly staff and a great location. It was a treat to stay in such a historic and elegant hotel in the heart of LA.I will recommend and stay again!
Positives: Old charm and elegance, fantastic, friendly service. Loved it!
Negatives: The final bill was more than my quote due to "hidden fees".

Upon arrival-some of the staff is friendly, some not so much. The lobby is nice and thats about it. I called ahead of time to make sure we got a renovated room. The room does not look much different than before. They really need to work on furniture placement. The beds feel like they are made of foam and the pillow is so thin. The bathroom is horrible! The towel rack is placed below waist level and the door hook is placed at the very top. There is literally a ledge for a counter top and the toilet flush is like a public bathroom. shouldn't the rating of the hotel be based on the room as well? there is no way this is on par with Kyoto Hotel down the street. Kyoto is so much more better in 5 million ways.
Positives: The lobby is nice, reminds me of old Hollywood.
Negatives: The room and

Great classic hotel, a treat made available by Priceline for budget travelers. No longer a 4 star hotel, but history, location, and staff are unique and give an experience of LA hospitality.
Positives: Good deal for a Major downtown hotel.
Negatives: Room did not warrant a 4-star rating.

Was a nice hotel, pretty friendly service.
Positives: Great lobby, big rooms.
Negatives: Smelled like smoke.

Hotel is an older hotel that has been newly renovated. If you like Hollywood history, it has pictures, information of the awards shows that have happened there, and the ceilings are full of wonderful art and carvings. There was always something to look at and look around and see the interesting history.
Positives: Liked the history behind the hotel. Located near the Jewelry Marts.
Negatives: Too much for parking. No choice, can only have valet at $40.00 a night.

Nice place to stay. Parking very expensive.
Positives: The old beautiful building.
Negatives: Bathroom counters are too small, parking very expensive.

This place is a complete dump. I can’t believe it’s in business. Our room had several squashed insects (cockroaches) on the walls. Absolutely disgusting. Hotel staff wasn’t accommodating.
Positives: Squashed insects on the hotel room walls.
Negatives: This place is a dump.

Awe-inspiring art deco lobby; rooms can be hit or miss, same price will get you differently sized rooms with different views. Try to get a room overlooking Pershing Square.
Positives: Art deco lobby and common areas.
Negatives: Decades, old hollywood cigarette smoke lingers nearly everywhere.

I saw the picture of the Standard guest room and lobby on the hotel's website so I had high hopes for this hotel. The lobby was indeed grand but the standard guest room was a far cry from the picture. First off, they had a small Magnavox tube TV. I swear it looks like something they picked up from a thrift shop! The bathroom is tiny and needs an upgrade..badly! The shower was a bit moldy and the they had an industrial toilet, like the ones you see in a grocery store bathroom. The room didn't have any dresser drawers for your stuff. C'mon, even motels have these! The standing lamp didn't work and there's one bedside lamp for two beds to share. Food is overpriced especially the room service breakfast menu! Two pro's though, the sheets are clean. Location is great--easy access to the freeways. Stay here if you're reserving a suite or an executive room. Otherwise, look somewhere else.
Positives: Lobby is grand!
Negatives: Standard room needs a lot of improvement.

Overall, the room was clean and reasonable size. However, I suffered from some noise. I was often able to hear people in the hallway.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: No free WiFi.

Good for short term business travel, but not very friendly environment for travel with younger kids.
Positives: Good location for downtown, convenient access to freeways, reasonable rate for parking across the street.
Negatives: Lack of renovation or maintenance for the hotel room.

The hotel was terrible starting with the $40 to park each day and the staff sending me to two dirty rooms before giving me a room for someone who is handicap.
Positives: I liked nothing to be honest.
Negatives: The staff, the cleanliness of the room, the price of parking and room service.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 24 May 2010 rated 1 out of 10.
The staff was so rude! Don't forget it's $60.00 to park at the hotel, or $20 to park next to the homeless park down the street. Good luck finding your car in the morning. The hotel is right next to DWP building, the trucks drive in all night long and hold down there horns for people to bring things out to them. It's horrible.
Positives: Nothing, this was the worst place I have ever stayed. Motel 6 is better than this place.
Negatives: If you can sleep with noise canceling head phones on you will be fine. It's quitter sleeping on a runway at LAX.

Great hotel and
beautiful lobby. Love the history. Convenient location for visiting our son who lives downtown. Nicest we have stayed in so far.
Positives: Lovely bed and linens, clean.
Negatives: 40 parking fee is exorbitant.

Beautiful lobby and common areas. Rooms were quite large. Rooms could have used a little updating, but overall a pleasant stay.
Positives: Room was exceptionally large!
Negatives: Street noise. Earplugs were provided.

The Biltmore is a one of the great historic hotels in downtown LA. The hotel is located in walking distance of downtown shopping and dining in Bunker Hill.
Positives: This hotel had a super comfortable bed. The downstairs lounge area is beautiful.
Negatives: This hotel has a parking fee of $40 per day. This is too expensive.

Hotel is good overall, has lots of stories, it makes your trip a bit special, Staff was nice and professional, location is good, closes to metro, right in downtown core. Hotel are clean, restaurants look nice and upscale.

Positives: Good quality and romantic hotel. Good location too.
Negatives: There are not too many supply in the bathroom.

The public spaces in this hotel are amazing, with historic significance. Service was mostly friendly & helpful except for valet that forgot about me for 10 minutes after helping us unload the car. Some rooms are impossible to sleep in with a background generator noise that seeps through sound canceling ear plugs & which gets worse when the cooling or bathroom light is turned on. We moved once, but the last two problems persisted. This is on top of the usual city sounds, which one expects in a downtown hotel.
Positives: Amazing public spaces.
Negatives: Bathroom was small, air conditioners & fans very noisy.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 08 Mar 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
we were greeted by a very rude valet crowd. To then be followed with a bellman that had the common sense of a doorknob. The front desk was very rude upon check in ... first impression was not good.
Positives: Beautiful hotel, convienent to where I needed to be.
Negatives: Extremely rude valet & front desk and outrageous price for parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 27 Feb 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
Enjoyed my stay there.
Positives: The historical aspects.
Negatives: Needs a little updating like new carpets and the only parking was valet and cost $40.00.

The hotel rooms are very cozy, but honestly pretty small for a 3.5 star hotel. The bathroom was the best part of the room, though the toilet felt a bit industrial (looked like a toilet in a highway bath stop). The TVs there, for a recently renovated hotel, were CRT Projection screens, 20" at best. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable, and there was a cool chair/ottoman setup that was reminiscent of a classically old school hotel room. The location of the hotel was perfect for where I was going to downtown LA (obviously) and Korea town, which was only 2 miles westward on numbered streets. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a taxi service that makes going out and about easier. However, my major grip is that there was no onsite self parking. I understand space is an issue, and so I was glad to see that they offered valet parking. The hotel feel in the lobby and public areas screamed semi upscale which would be pretty nice for someone of my social stature (recently hired engineer). I liked that there was a variety when it came to in-house restaurants and bars, though I did not dine in the hotel. Overall, good experience, minus the newly renovated flat screen TV in every room and the parking issue. I would recommend this hotel to my colleagues if they aren't driving into the hotel, with expensive stuff in their trunk, and they don't intend to watch much TV at night in their hotel room.
Positives: The overall feel and location was right in the middle of the action.
Negatives: There is no onsite self parking, for a 3.5 star hotel

Beautiful hotel interior and lobby but the room definitely showed its age and although was clean, it looked shabby. The TV was very small, old and in an inconvenient location. The parking was valet only and incredibly expensive ($40) which pretty much negated the savings on the room.
Positives: Convenient location, friendly staff.
Negatives: Outrageously expensive parking.

Nice stay for a overnight, if you get a deal for the room.
Positives: Indoor heated was great.
Negatives: Room was nice but a little small.

Overall, it is a great hotel and
I enjoyed it very much. Next time,
I would ask for courtyard facing room instead of a room facing the streets.
Positives: Architecture.
Negatives: The $40/night parking and the single-pane windows which made for a not-so-quiet night sleep.

Lovely facility.
Positives: Historically significant and grande.
Negatives: Only valet parking; $40 a night.

It's a beautiful hotel with an old time charm. Staff and facilities are well kept, bed is so luxurious. The only thing I did not like is that the hallways and hotel rooms are old and musty.
Positives: Beautiful entry.
Negatives: The facilities are very old.

I was looking forward to staying at the Biltmore recently, which was my last stop on a month-long work trip around America. I now realize that I could have just seen the impressive architecture and lobby while walking through, rather than having to go through the ordeal of staying there. The front desk staff was phenomenally rude and unhelpful; the rooms were dark and uninviting; and the bathrooms were tiny and unusable. The Downtown area needs to be supported and re-invigorated, but you should definitely stay elsewhere.
Positives: Architecture.
Negatives: The rudest staff I've ever encountered.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 15 Aug 2008 rated 1 out of 10.
The all around staff was very rude and unhelpful. I thought it might be due to the fact that my check in time was 3 am yet I found the morning staff to be just as unhelpful. Very disappointed in this hotel.
Positives: There was nothing I liked about this hotel. I'd be disappointed if I ever had to stay at this hotel again.
Negatives: The staff was very rude, the shower in our room didn't work.

This beautiful hotel was built in 1923 when money was spent to make all the public rooms ornate and lovely. It has been well-maintained and it was a pleasure to stay there.
Positives: Historic, beautiful, product of a by gone era. Bed was wonderful!
Negatives: Restaurant was very expensive so we didn't eat there.

Hi Millennium Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles is an excellent place to stay for business or leisure travelers. Located in the heart of downtown LA. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean and organized. Lobby area was beautiful and rooms were adequate. Only bad thing was the valet parking person scratched the side of the car we were driving. Hotel filled out insurance claim, however it ha been 2 weeks and still have not heard anything back. We would stay there again, however we would use the self parking option next time!
Positives: Very clean, excellent location.
Negatives: The valet parking scratched the side of our car, did not compensate for damages!

The Biltmore is a grand hotel that has been lovingly taken care of by the Millennium Group. The only odd thing about the room I was in, there was not any artwork on any of the walls! The room size was good and the king bed was fantastic! I regret not spending more time in bed!
Positives: It's a classy and beautiful place.
Negatives: Parking is too expensive and there were not any trash cans in lobby.
