Good hotel in a convenient location perfect for business travelers.

Positives: Good price, and good service.

Negatives: Having to pay for valet parking as a hotel guest with no other options.

I was only there one night, and checked in late, so I didn't use many of the hotel's services. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I requested a room change at the last minute because my daughter decided to stay with me, and they were able to fulfill the request. The room was a little tired, but the bathroom had been updated nicely. Unfortunately, we fund open bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower as well as used soap. Definitely a turn-off! I did valet my car, expensive at $36 I thought, but I was very tired upon arrival. Getting my car the next morning was very easy and quick.

Positives: Very friendly, and

Negatives: Very long waits to speak to someone at the front desk, once 17 minutes!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel very much. The room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom and small balcony with chairs. The location was convenient and safe, but most points of interest could only be reached by driving. The food from the hotel restaurant was expensive and only of mediocre quality, and the valet parking, (which appeared to be the only parking option) was expensive. That being said, I would stay here again (at the reduced price) because of the pleasantness of the staff, comfort of the room, and location convenience.

Positives: We were treated pleasantly by staff and there were a number of amenities.

Negatives: Valet parking was the only option and was expensive at $36 per day.

There is so much history associated with this hotel. Presidents have stayed there. It is truly beautiful. Pool area is nice. Friendly staff.

Positives: The beauty and attractiveness of it and how centrally it is located.

Negatives: You have to pay to use the workout facility. Most hotels have their own workout areas.

Loved everything from the room to the view to the pool to the food to the overall environment. Went back a week later! Plan on going back again soon!

Positives: Everything

Negatives: 2 in particular front desk staff members.

When checking in I requested a bellman to assist with luggage. The doorman told me I didn't need one, and to just carry my luggage. After that, the front desk agent gave me the most unenthusiastic check-in I've ever experienced.
The room was well furnished. Room service was prompt for delivery, but it took me 3 hours to get my table taken away. Items were stolen off of my vehicle and my car was scratched by the Valets, and when I brought it up, they just shrugged and waked away. I think this hotel needs some help. I even tried to voice my complaints to mgmt, but after waiting 25 minutes to speak with someone, the gentlemen just waked away from the desk. Ive worked in hotels my whole life, and this is a sign of employees not taking any pride in their Workplace.

Positives: Some staff were very accommodating.

Negatives: Items stolen from car, poor service times, mediocre food, expensive parking.

The hotel was fine. When you first walk it, it looks really nice, but as you move into the elevators and rooms, everything starts to look really shabby. We were on the 7th floor and when you exit the hotel elevator, there were tons of cracked and missing tiles in the floor. The bathrooms were ok, but it didn't feel like an upscale hotel. Bar X felt very outdated, even for a retro-themed bar. The food there was ok, I would recommend eating. All and all, I think there are better hotels out there for the money.

Positives: The staff was very nice.

Negatives: If you glance around the lobby, yes it looks really nice. But as you move up to the rooms, they look old and outdated.

The housekeeper came into our room at 8 am. We were in bed. No apology. I complained at the front desk to a very ungracious desk clerk and found myself even more frustrated.

Positives: Starbucks in the lobby.

Negatives: The service and the pool.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 09 Jun 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

Also, the self-parking was very expensive -- $24 a day.

Positives: Our room had floor to ceiling windows, a lanai and gorgeous views!

Negatives: I had to request an in-room coffee maker, and the fridge was full of drinks you could not move without being charged, instead of a functional fridge.

Nice clean rooms and spacious bathroom. Really like the balcony on every room.

Positives: Was upgraded at check in for no additional cost. Nice place with great proximity to Rodeo and walking distance to a outdoor mall.

Negatives: Not fond of the $36 a day valet or the $26 self parking.

I wouldn't stay here.

Positives: I didn't like it.

Negatives: Unhelpful staff, loud, not particularly visually attractive.

Very nice hotel, I would strongly recommend this hotel with the exception of on-going construction all through out the evening and morning, extremely poor choice by the hotel management!

Positives: Best location to conduct my business.

Negatives: Ongoing construction all night long, severely disturbing my sleep. No excuse!

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 30 Apr 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

Great hotel. The front desk guy upgraded my room for free, which was nice, but kept bothering me about it - like he was looking for a tip.

Positives: Staff was good, location was good.

Negatives: Toilet paper was cheap. Lots of construction going on. Public areas looked tired.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 24 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

We had a nice stay. Everything fine. Though hotel is located in business district and there is nothing (except mall) within walking distance. In my opinion very expensive parking. 35USD for Valet and a min. 24USD for self-parking.

Positives: Room, Starbucks, short distance to the Century Plaza mall.

Negatives: (Valet) parking extremely expensive!

Everything was great at this hotel until the night all the playmates and the guys that follow them checked in. While a Playboy party at my hotel does not offend me it was not told to anyone and it is certainly not appropriate if other guests are there with their family. What did bother me was the fact the hotel staff acted like the Play boy party guests were the only people that mattered and they ignored all of the other guests.

Positives: Fast and friendly valet service.

Negatives: Hotel staff was more concerned about the play boy party than they were about their regular guests.

Great location, and comfortable quite rooms. Easy access to Beverly Hills, along with Santa Monica. Wish we had more time there.
Positives: Location, great accommodations, clean, comfortable, and

Negatives: Pay for health club facility.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 08 Mar 2011 rated 6 out of 10.

I was not impressed with the hotel. Although the staff was friendly enough, the restaurant was expensive, and the food mediocre. The rooms are well-appointed and clean, but certainly nothing to write home about. Parking is convenient, but very overpriced. If you leave to have dinner and come back, parking can cost $48 for the day.

Positives: Convenient location.

Negatives: Private balcony overlooked busy street, lots of noise, traffic.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 05 Mar 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the entertainment district of Los Angeles. Very quiet and classy rooms with excellent beds and pillows. Great service however if you are driving parking is expensive.

Positives: Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable and quiet, good beds and pillows.

Negatives: Charged for parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 04 Mar 2011 rated 1 out of 10.

Would only recommend this hotel for business travelers that do not have a rental car.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Poor amenities within hotel. Expensive. Prohibitive parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 19 Dec 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

No in room coffee and the shower water pressure was pathetic. Beautiful hotel, clean and wonderfully appointed. Did not see any families or kids.
Positives: Classic elegance.

Negatives: $35 parking plus tips (no self parking), $20 per day for the gym.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 13 Dec 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

Not nearly as nice as I thought it would be and much too expensive for what it is/provides. I had to ask for a robe and there were no coffee pots in the room as stated. There was no room in the frig for any personal items which was inconvenient. would not stay there again

Positives: Beds were comfortable.

Negatives: Restaurant and parking were ridiculously expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 16 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I really enjoyed staying at the Hyatt. There is a fountain that is lit up at night which you can enjoy from your private balcony. The room was very clean and the bedding seemed luxurious. The heating/cooling was very quiet as was the hotel in general making for a very comfortable night's sleep.

Positives: The rooms were very attractive and clean.

Negatives: The restaurant in the hotel did not have a large selection.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 09 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

This hotel was all that I expected and more from a 4 star establishment. The only negative was that they nickel and dime for things that other hotels offer for free - like parking ($36 for valet), breakfast (a la carte), and WiFi ($5 for the first hour, or you could buy it for the day).

Positives: Big shower, nice balcony.

Negatives: Very far from downtown LA.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 05 Nov 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. It was clean, room service was great and I enjoyed the convenience of the spa.

Positives: I liked how clean the room was and the short wait time for room service.

Negatives: The distance between my room and the ice machine.

The hotel is very well located. The room was great and bed very comfortable. The hotel has recently been renovated and displays great contemporary art work in the lobby, hallways, common areas and room.

Positives: Great location and beautiful room/hotel.

Negatives: Poor sheet quality.

Too many extra charges.

I had the valet attendant banging on my door at 4am because he forgot to give me a ticket. This was so frustrating - he didn't even apologize and it startled me so bad that I couldn't fall back asleep.

Positives: I loved the decor!

Negatives: Awful experience with staff.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 30 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Very Clean. Lobby was decorated very nice. Rooms were comfortable. Employees were very pleasant and helpful. The pool was not large, but clean and nice. Although the restaurant was nice and clean the breakfast was quite expensive along with the dinners. We ate out every night.

Positives: The rooms were very comfortable. The location was terrific as it was close to down town Beverly Hills. The staff was very accommodating.

Negatives: The charge for the Parking at 35 dollars a day was quite expensive .

We enjoyed our time at the Hyatt Century Plaza Hotel. What a fantastic location, so close to Century City and with easy access to freeways and other conveniences. The pools were interesting, wasn't sure what to do with the very shallow ones. The Equinox fitness facility located next door was very convenient to have there and offers great classes and equipment for hotel guests to use.

Positives: The location was fantastic and not too crazy in terms of traffic.

Negatives: Not specific, a little retro, but that was its charm.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 10 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Excellent location for berbely hills, clean and very nice hotel.

Positives: Very good location.

Negatives: Housekeeping service for a extra bed was very slow.

Very good. Will stay again.

Positives: The staff at check in counter, the view and attractive room.

Negatives: Expensive in and out parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 29 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Fantastic, art deco Hollywood inspired get away. The outdoor spaces smelled of Jasmine and the design was impeccable. Great priceline deal and location. I would definitely return to the hotel.

Positives: The staff was exceptional.

Negatives: Parking was pricey but the valets were gracious.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 04 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Nice hotel!

Positives: Great pool! 4 kiddie pools and a giant pool, as well as a nice jacuzzi.

Negatives: Parking was expensive - $26 self-park, $35 for valet.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 13 May 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. However the majority of our time was away from the hotel, touring the city. Pros: Conveniently located among area attractions, however, attractions are not within walking distance. Pool/grounds are nice (and I believe pool is heated). Clean room, slightly above average. Staff was very helpful. Cons: Only option is to use valet parking. Daily gym fee. Must make request to have coffee maker in room.
Positives: Conveniently located among popular destinations in LA.

Negatives: Daily fee to use gym. High daily valet fee.

Hotel and people are very nice. Didn't dine here because
I wanted to go to other restaurants around LA. Nicely decorated hotel - wish that there was a nice soaking tub in the room. Very comfy bed.

Positives: Very nicely decorated.

Negatives: Parking is so expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 26 Apr 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Overall, a very good experience, especially for the price paid.

Positives: Location and ease of access.

Negatives: Staff wasn't extremely friendly, though cordial enough.

This hotel has it all! Overall, a perfect place to stay for an LA visit. Bring your swimsuit!

Positives: The staff, the decor, the grounds were top-notch.

Negatives: The sheets weren't soft enough, the bathtubs weren't nice enough.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 10 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

I've stayed here probably two weekends every month for the last 8 months and it still makes for a comfortable, classy and clean space do enjoy LA. Staff, location and amenities are great!

Positives: Every time

Negatives: Wish the front driveway didn't get so crowded.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 06 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

1st class all the way.

Positives: The staff.

Negatives: Parking fees.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 05 Apr 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

This hotel added $35 per day for parking, $17 per day for in-room Wi-Fi, no in-room coffee, no complimentary breakfast, which are all usually included at 2 ½ - 3 star hotels, it soon became clear that there was no savings to be had. And $ 5 for a vending machine size bag of chips is just gouging. The feel of this hotel ended up being uncomfortable because of the constant money grabbing.
Positives: The lobby and facilities were very refined and elegant.

Negatives: The extra costs were staggering.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Excellent location, terrific pool and staff was very friendly and professional.

Positives: Location and facilities were outstanding.

Negatives: $65 for breakfast buffet for two persons.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 21 Mar 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The hotel is really good. The location is convenient, as you can go anywhere you want and there is a very nice mall across the street. The pool was nice, but not extremely clean. The cleaning lady was kind of annoying as she kept coming before 10am and this was too early for me as I was on vacation. The biggest disadvantage though was the very expensive parking.

Positives: The pool, the Starbucks inside the hotel and the comfortable beds.

Negatives: Parking too expensive, cleaning lady was coming too early.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 05 Mar 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

At my $ this was a steal! Have nothing, but delightful memories of our stay.

Positives: Excellent location for leisure travelers.

Negatives: $35 per night for valet parking.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 23 Feb 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

I
have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last couple of months and it has never disappointed. The staff is attentive and delightful to be around. Amazingly clean and the hotels pool/back lot area is enormous.

Positives: Great location in west LA, and the staff and the hotel is extremely professional.

Negatives: Wish the parking wasn't so expensive and sometimes driveway gets crowded.
