The Westin Bonaventure was warm and welcoming. Beautiful views from every elevator made me feel so relaxed. Seeing the multiple movies that were filmed at the hotel gave it an extra coolness to my experience.
Positives: All the staff was very friendly and kind from the moment of check-in to the time to check-out.
Negatives: Our room had great air conditioning but it was difficult to find a perfect temperature to not be freezing.

Hotel was very nice. The people that worked in the valet area were very nice, quick and courteous, but at $35.00/night to park, it was a little hard to swallow. The pool was very small and away from the main building with no bathrooms nearby, which was inconvenient with two young kids. Our room was small but nice, the view was great! Wish they had 2 queens rather than 2 doubles, but queens would not have fit in small room.
Positives: Layout was interesting, visually appealing.
Negatives: $35/night for parking! Double beds instead of Queens.

Positives: Good location, good price and excellent staff.
Negatives: Took 45 minutes to get my car from the valet.

This is a modern 4-star hotel worthy of its rating. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. The environment is upbeat.
Positives: Was central to next day meeting. Met all my expectations.
Negatives: No dislikes. Very good experience.

I liked it except for the beds and the size of the room. Of course with the size of the room you could not get 2 queen double beds in it. The coffee pot was missing and I forgot to ask for one. And the cord was missing from one of the telephones. Again they would have brought one if I had asked. When we needed towels they had them there in a matter of minutes. They were very good about answering anything you asked for. The location is good as the freeway is right down the street with easy excess to anywhere in LA.
Positives: Staff was friendly and it was clean and easy to get to and to the freeways for where we were going.
Negatives: The room was small and the mattress was unconformable and it was a double bed not a queen.

Very pleasant stay.
Positives: Bathroom was spacious.
Negatives: Beds were too small, no fan in bathroom, not enough outlets in bathroom, door stuck when opening.

I would definitely stay here again if visiting attractions in the vicinity.
Positives: Proximity to restaurants & other tourist attractions within walking distance.
Negatives: Parking was too much $35.

We were doing a quick trip to LA to attend an event at Music Center, so this was very convenient [we walked to and from] and an enjoyable stay. King size bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced anywhere, hotel or home.
Positives: Convenient to event we were attending at Music Center.
Negatives: Parking is expensive at $35 per night.

I stay here. I checked on around 11:30 pm & they asked if I would like a double or single bed. I told their or doesn't matter a long as it's quiet. So they put me right next to the elevator. Then I called down and asked if I could get the other room that was offered. They said no, they're sold out. I said how could that be if they asked me which room did I want. I told them I wanted to talk to the manager. After a 15 min wait while listening then talk to each other he chines back and said there's nothing they could do. I'm stuck with the room. He had the beverage to say you get what you pay for. The room was dirty, loud & dated. Please do yourself a favor & stay somewhere else.
Positives: The location is okay.
Negatives: The staff and the rooms are dirty.

Excellent staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Positives: Friendly and accommodating staff.
Negatives: Exorbitant parking fees. $35. + tax per night.

The Westin Bonaventure DID NOT disappoint!! The view out of the floor to ceiling windows on the 28th floor was fantastic!! The pool looked nice, though I did not use it myself. The on-site facilities, restaurants, clubs, etc., were convenient, but the shops weren't open during our stay, (Friday night-Saturday afternoon). I didn't understand that. That being said, the hotel was Awesome.
Positives: The view was simply AMAZING!!! Plus, the robes in the room were nice and thick!
Negatives: There was an event the night we stayed and, so, parking was not the best. Lenghty wait for valet ($35/night!

Rooms are a little small, but well furnished with great beds/linens and flat screen TV. View from the window is great if you are on a higher floor. Blackout drapes allow you to sleep late even if you have a sunny room. We were awakened by the neighbors when they arrived at 1 am, and we could hear every word they said, (not because they were especially loud, but because the walls are thin?) We also overheard another conversation from upstairs conversation through the bathroom vent. The elevators do not stop at all the lower/common area floors, where most of the restaurants are because according to a waiter, the hotel does not own these restaurants and considers them competition for the restaurants it does own. Most of these restaurants look as if they were transplanted from a bad strip mall anyway, and should never be in a 4-star hotel in the first place. Construction started at 9 am on Sunday and continued until it woke us up for good around 10:30 am, even though we called to complain. It helped that the hotel compensated us with two free breakfast buffets.
Positives: Great view of the city and fantastic bed/linens.
Negatives: Noise from other rooms and easy to get lost in common areas downstairs.

Hotel only offers valet parking for guests at $35/day. First night we used valet, then noticed a sign across street for parking at $15/day. Really need to read the small print as that was a special offer that did not apply to us and we paid $56 to park for one night!
Positives: King size bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Negatives: Size of room was small, somewhat dated and $35/day parking charge!

I was very disappointed with the quality of this hotel, as I was expecting a nicer 4 star experience. I did enjoy the view, though, from the 24th floor. Also, parking was very expensive ($35, valet).
Positives: Great view.
Negatives: Small room, poor service and uncomfortable bed.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 02 Nov 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
The Bonaventure takes advantage of a rotunda-like floor plan and ingrates the surrounding city with an internal mall, dining, entertainment, and activities. Great place to be lost and found. The staff is friendly and informed. Good for business and leisure travelers.
Positives: Good location, friendly staff, several dining and entertainment options.
Negatives: No hot tub.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of opportunities to find things to do within the hotel, lots of shops to visit. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of downtown.
Positives: I liked the variety of shops available within the building.
Negatives: Parking was very high.

Hotel was fine, staff was great, but charges ($35 for parking and $13 for Internet a day).
Positives: Very helpful staff and
Negatives: High charges for parking and Internet.

Overall, good but the hotel after 20 years still needs to work some kinks out. The staff is lazy, this never would have been the case if Westin did not own the property.
Positives: The architecture is amazing it is a landmark hotel.
Negatives: The staff is lazy.

The lobby of the hotel is clean and spacious. There is a nice bar in the center of the circular lobby, which sells pastries for breakfast and coffee. When you arrive in your room, you will be taken in by its coziness. It is not a large room, but more than adequate for one to two people. The mattress is very comfortable, and the carpet is incredibly soft. The views are pretty good. The bathroom is very nice as well, but the bath tub is not large enough for a reasonably sized adult to comfortably bathe in. The location is very good, especially if you are there on business. The fashion showrooms are a few blocks away, there is a Macy's a few blocks away. The only negative is parking. It is very limited downtown, and you will have to use the hotels parking lot, so expect to pay $35 (summer'10) a day for that lot.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable, and the carpet was clean and incredibly soft.
Negatives: The bath tub is not all too large, and the lobby is nothing incredible.

Horribly expensive parking that is a surprise upon arrival. Rooms small, but clean.
Positives: The location was close to a freeway.
Negatives: Was very frustrated to discover that the parking was 35 dollars! Absolutely unexpected.

Wasn't really impressed with the hotel like I thought it should be.
Positives: The rooms were very clean.
Negatives: The beds were really hard. Woke up with a sore back.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel as Priceline has it rated. The hotel is in line with a best Western quality. The parking for the hotel is not well marked. Hotel guest parking is in the garage marked valet parking only. There is no curb side valet parking at street level. The elevator from the garage to the lobby was out of order and only handicapped and employees were allowed to use the service elevator. It was a blast carrying our luggage on the escalators. There was luggage service for a fee. The towers are connected and it really doesn't matter what elevator you take up to your room. There is no elevator stop for the pool level. To access the pool you will have to walk past the restaurants and any parties on the lawn. The windows were not clean nor was the mirror in the bathroom. Overall, the place is more for conventions, rather than family or romantic stay in LA. It is a 2.5 to a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star hotel.
Positives: History.
Negatives: Parking, location of pool.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 27 Jul 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
Should be remodeled soon.
Positives: Several convenient dining options available.
Negatives: Aged hotel, location of airconditioning next to bed, parking 35 USD.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, was good. Rooms were very small, but clean and comfortable. Staff amazing! Pool area great, only a little small for the size of the hotel and you can hear the traffic on the street below a little.
Positives: The staff at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel LA were fantastic, nothing was a problem, the brewery is great also!
Negatives: The parking situation was a bit of a problem $35/day, best to park under World Trade Center next door.

Very pleasant, upscale.
Positives: Coffee was very good.
Negatives: Parking cost way too much! $35/day.

Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: The rooms were quite small.

The lobby is beautiful & spacious with fountains everywhere. The rooms are gorgeous with a view of the city. The bed & linens were very soft & luxurious.
Positives: Location, architecture, glass elevators, and uniqueness.
Negatives: It took 30 minutes to get our baggage from the concierge. The bar closes at 12AM.

The hotel had a very nice excercise room and a very interesting lobby with many levels of shopping and restaurants and even a small "food court" area which had convenient, reasonably priced breakfast food if you didn't want to eat at the hotel restaurant.
Positives: Wonderful Lobby and public spaces
Negatives: Parking $35 a day plus tips

It is impossible to get a good deal if parking fees are excessive, and if there are internet fees and "resort" fees. One has no idea how much you will be paying in such a situation. This hotel cost me much more than it should - and it was a pretty crummy place, with cavernous, dark and unsecured public areas. I travel a lot, and I am seldom uncomfortable in my surroundings, even in questionable areas of cities. But this hotel made me uncomfortable inside the hotel. They are the most likely to add internet fees, parking costs, etc. I left this hotel after 2 days and directly booked another - adequate and cheaper - that had free parking and free internet. I then went to Palm Springs where I am now.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Substantial parking fee added, charge for internet, dark and cold-looking public areas, lack of security.

It is an aging hotel that still has it's charm. However, the walls are so thin that we heard our next door neighbor's phone conversation from both ends! We had to move to another room where we didn't have any neighbors to get any sleep! They need better sound proofing before I ever return!
Positives: Love the design and the easy access to arts center.
Negatives: Could hear every word spoken in other room! Had to move rooms!

The second night of a three night stay the hot water was luke warm and later an employee had the wrong room for a TV problem. Room would be cramped for more than two people. WiFi is not free.
Positives: Room was newly renovated.
Negatives: Lobby was very noisy with water fountains.
