Great location and room. Very poor fitness area for such a nice hotel and as stated above first quality hotel in all my travel that charge for the business center access. Low rent.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: First quality hotel that charged for both Internet access and for their business center access, cheap.

This hotel is wonderful! It is very well maintained, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's very comfortable.

Positives: This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Anything you need is there or nearby.

Negatives: They are a little slow cleaning the rooms. Our room was finished until 4:45 P.M.

For a hotel of the described rating the lobby lived up to that, however, the room did not. Just
ok = like a Holiday Inn with small beds and room itself was small. TV was horrible - analog and they tried to charge us to watch a local channel. The overall service was very good. The neighbors banged on our door partied till all hours of the night and should have been asked to leave. We got no sleep.

Positives: Location and staff friendliness.

Negatives: Beds were too small - doubles not queens neighbors way to noisy and had to call front desk till 2:00 am.

Hotel was great. Modern, updated and overall, a great hotel. Disappointed that I had to pay for a daily parking rate.

Positives: The location/proximity to things. View of the harbor was fabulous.

Negatives: Parking. I got a great deal through Priceline but I was surprised that parking was additional.

Overall my stay at the Hyatt was nice. What I didn't like is the $20 valet parking per night or even the $17 per night for self parking.

Positives: The lobby was huge and nice with a great view.

Negatives: Had a rusty sprinkler above the headboard, no microwave or fridge.

Went to hotel with two of my girlfriends just to check out downtown long beach. We might have been the only guest that week! It was deserted, which you would think would have made the staff extra welcoming but that was not the case. The hotel itself needs a Makeover. The coffee shop closes early(9 or 10 am) and if you want a late night snack, you only option is the vending machine that only takes quarters (and the front desk has no change). However, the location is great! And the views are wonderful.

Positives: Great location, terrible staff, hotel needs a make-over.

Negatives: The staff was not only unhelpful, but very rude.

Perfect location for walking distance to restaurants and bars. The hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was helpful.

Positives: it was perfect for walking to everywhere we needed to go.

Negatives: It was $17/day to park there. hotel guests should be free or cheaper.

Great experience. Close to everything. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Positives: The view, bed spreads, and hot water showers.

Negatives: No smoking in my room.

Positives: It was in a great location, easy to walk anywhere.

Negatives: Cost to park.

A great location! You are close to so many stores, dining experiences and tourist attractions. Prime place to stay!

Positives: The restaurant was fabulous and the wait staff made the experience delightful!

Negatives: Decor in hallways a bit old.

From the moment we walk in to our departure. Everyone of the staff members were very friendly, as an Assistant Hotel manager myself I really appreciate the extra details that many travelers seem to miss. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Positives: The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping in LB.

Negatives: Can't think of one.

I would recommend this hotel to family, friends, and community. Great room service and the hospitality was good.

Positives: Great hotel and service. Appreciate the kindness and courtesy. Just had a little trouble with the reservation but overall it was GREAT. Thank you.

Negatives: Nothing

Great location. I've stayed here twice. The first stay room was dated with tube type TV. Most recent stay the room was excellent with large flat screen tv and very nice bathroom.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: In Lobby coffee stand extremely overpriced.

Very well layer out &peaceful 5 stars all day.

Positives: Love it.

Negatives: Having to pay for parking.

The rooms are very comfortable. The lobby was spacious with a greater view of the harbor. The only drawback was the parking lot. It was very dark and not connected to the hotel. There was no security in the lot and there are many darkened stalls.

Positives: Comfortable beds, and friendly staff.

Negatives: The parking lot was dark and separated from the hotel.

Nice personnel but dated unappealing rooms and hotel accommodation, corridors etc.

Positives: Lady at Check-In reception. What a great attitude and wonderful smile.

Negatives: Room Decor and comfort. Corridor carpets and colors.

For a Hyatt this was a great disappointment. The Holiday Day Inn LB Airport rooms puts the Hyatt to shame. This hotel needs to go through a major renovation as its probably not been updated for 15-20 years. Rooms are dull, furniture is older, bathroom boring. Parking is expensive.

Positives: Super convenient location.

Negatives: Outdated decor, needs upgrade of both lobby and rooms.

All in all, my experience with the hotel was excellent. I would like clarification as to the $50 charge that showed up unexpectedly though.

Positives: Wonderful customer service and walking distance from venue.

Negatives: Parking fee (although I know most hotels charge) and the $50 charge to my account that I was not made aware of.

My stay was OK. Would recommend only if you purchase through Priceline.

Positives: Its location was great with the water view & boats.

Negatives: No parking publicly.

My kids and I stayed one night, because my daughter had to catch an early boat to Catalina the next morning. Every hotel staff member that we encountered during our stay was smiling, pleasant and eager to assist us.

Positives: Location was fabulous ... within walking distance to restaurants and the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Negatives: Jacuzzi stopped working ... jets wouldn't turn back on.

I've stayed here before and both times I've been very happy. Comfy bed, nice clean white comforter (i.e. not the dark printed ones that you don't want to touch), great view of ocean, good quality of shampoo/condition/lotion/soap/tooth paste. No bath robes not a biggie.

Positives: Central location, across street from shuttle, modern.

Negatives: Hot tub was out of order both nights.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 02 Feb 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Excellent location with attentive staff.

Positives: Friendliness of staff was very evident.

Negatives: Internet terminals remained unusable throughout entire stay despite inquiring about this on the first day of my visit. Hot tub was only luke warm.

This is a nice hotel with a friendly staff and quite conveniently located next to the convention center. We had a need for an in-room refrigerator and the staff quickly got us one at no charge. My only real complaint was the poor wifi service through a t-mobile hot spot that you are charged $10 a day for. I would expect a hotel as nice as this to at least have the internet quality that I can find at any holiday inn, but they do not.

Positives: Friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Charges for wifi when lower scale hotels have it for free.

This place wasn't up to 4 star level. The only pool was outside on a miserable rainy day and the other exercise facility was very small and crowded. There were only about 5 items available to eat on the bar menu while the restaurant was closed all afternoon. The bar closed at 11 - just as
I had finished my meetings and work of the day so I missed out.

Positives: It was well located in the heart of Long Beach.

Negatives: The food & beverage options are very limited in hours and selection.

Great location for arena events. Modern and clean. Very spacious and airy. Will stay there again.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: No refrigerator or mini bar in room.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room had recently been redecorated and was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is situated close to many attractions and restaurants. It was the perfect place to stay for a romantic overnight except for the bathroom. The bathroom was obviously old and worn. It was disappointing to see such a lovely room and then walk into the bathroom and see that it was so obviously outdated.

Positives: The bedroom had recently been redecorated, very nicely. Good view, Close to lots of stuff to do.

Negatives: The bathroom was clean but old and did not match the quality of the bedroom.

Employees extremely friendly, and accommodating.

Positives: Easy to get to from my home, and where I do business at.

Negatives: Not able to use swimming pool, due to it being closed at 10:30 p.m.

Wonderful experience.

Positives: Great service from the moment I walked in.

Negatives: Room was smaller than I expected.

The exterior of this property looks amazing with the water all around one side and the convention center with nice lights on the other side. However, once you walk into the hotel it all changes. The lobby is average, but is outdated and has stained carpets in many parts. The room I was assigned first smelled like an old run down motel with musty and smoky odors emitting from all around. The room itself was out of the 80's and has no recent updates. Small rooms and outdated, I would not recommend this location to anyone. I stayed at the Westin LB and it is superior many times over.

Positives: The outside landscape draws you in.

Negatives: Smelly smoky halls, outdated rooms, and lobby old carpet with stains.

Very nice, pleasant experience. Tried to check in early and was accommodated, but when we reached the room it wasn't ready. They apologized and made it good; we were given a free breakfast certificate and when we got a room later that day, it was a better room than expected. It's all good!

Positives: Quick and courteous service from hotel staff.

Negatives: Location of swimming pool - in full view of restaurant dining room.

This hotel offers great scenic harbor views, high quality first class service, with leisurely comfort. It's within walking distance of downtown Long Beach business, clubs, and night life. Free city bus across the street from the hotel takes guest to The Queen Mary, The Long Beach Aquarium, The Pike and Pine Street for entertainment, shopping and dinning.

Positives: The very friendly and personable service of the staff.

Negatives: The degree of sounds heard from adjacent rooms through suite doors inside our suite - room was next to elevators and ice machines.
