Hotel rooms are now extremely dated and in poor repair.
Positives: Location. Restaurant for breakfast.
Negatives: Dated room in extremely poor repair, broken doors, scratched surfaces all around, even on Starwood levels. Bathroom cleanliness poor.

I was disappointed in the amenities. I thought presentation and style were definitely lacking. I expected 31/2 star quality hotel.
Positives: We loved the location, spacious room, beautiful bathroom, loved the shower.
Negatives: I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the pool area. The pool and hot tub were standard size and style not at all romantic.

Long Beach Westin was a fine hotel, worth the price in a prime location. I would recommend it to friends going to Long Beach.

Seriously, if you want to sleep do not stay. If you are a light sleeper it will be miserable.

Great location, but decor getting old and starting to look worn.
Positives: Location and price through Priceline.
Negatives: Starting to look dated and worn out. Having to pay for WiFi on top of the room fee is petty.

Having stayed at the Renaissance, Hilton and Westin in Long Beach, this is the worst of them. The room was dingy and dirty complete with chipped furniture, stained carpet and drawers that wouldn't close. Room was noisy due to connecting door and had to call security at 3am to shut the people up. Pool was tiny and on wrong side of building for afternoon sun. Overrun with kids, okay at times, but pool was dirty and spa was foamy. Gym was cramped for this size hotel and included broken equipment. Definitely not up to Westin standards. More like a 3 star, not 3.5.
Positives: Price, location, and Westin amenities.
Negatives: Dirty rooms, incomplete room cleaning, foamy pool, broken gym equipment.

Elegant, nice room, and full service hotel.

Negatives: Internet in the room is not free. I find this ridiculous when most places offer free Internet everywhere in the hotel.

Excellent pre-cruise location. Staff was exceedingly helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds were super comfy. Excellent area for walking. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, excellent hotel...gymnastic competition and Long Beach Race going on. We enjoyed pre-cruise hotel for 2 days. Transportation to Long Beach pier would have been nice from the hotel.

The ambiance was lovely, staff gracious, nice upscale hotel, beds had 4 great pillows, including down, we were on 15th floor, had great views of the city. Parking was easy, yet cost $15.

The customer service at this hotel was quite simply spectacular. They truly went above and beyond what I would ever expect....carrying bags to room upon arrival and turning down tip; offering to let us borrow an extra stroller for our 5 year old if she got tired of walking around downtown, provided family appropriate info re: local attractions/beaches/etc. The credit primarily goes to the bellhops. Truly professional.

Was not able to get a king bed upon arrival. We were able to move to a king for the remainder of our stay. Also, was not able to use any of the electrical outlets next to the bed. My husband uses a CPAP machine and we had to pull the bed out and find the extension cord behind the bed to use. Most hotels where we've stayed always has at least one outlet for traveler's usage. Other than this we enjoyed our stay.
Positives: Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Furniture needs updating and the parking was not fully explained.

The front desk staff was very unfriendly and did not smile. I felt unwelcome, even though they were unaware that I do a lot of business with the hotel as a meeting planner. I have reservations now about sending my clients/customers/sales reps their for their stays. I wonder how they are being treated upon their arrival. They need to train their front desk staff on how to smile. They were very rude!

This hotel was very dirty and old. The first night they put us in a room which we later were told was not supposed to be stayed in at all. The second night the room they put us in smelled. I didn't sleep!

Greeted by Front Desk in a polite fashion. All my questions and needs were meant. Would stay at this Westin Long Beach again. Thank you Westin for you Hard Work.
Positives: Ask if I could be on an upper floor, they gave me an Ocean View on the top floor. Very happy with my room.
Negatives: Furniture need to be updated. A little dated and old.

Don't forget to consider the $14/day parking fee in your budget for the room. Bathroom had no bright lights or fan for the shower steam. The room was a little stark for my taste. I would have been very unhappy.
Positives: Very convenient to Downtown long beach.
Negatives: My room was at the level that the window view was machinery on a sub-roof of the hotel.
