Hotel was beautiful. Parking should be included since this hotel is not near enough any mass transit that would make it likely for someone to be without a car.
Positives: Gorgeous views of water.
Negatives: Price for parking.

This is the third time my family has stayed at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and will definitely be the last. The rooms are smallish and the decor is dated. The beds provided hands down the worst night sleep I've ever had on any mattress. I thought the coils were going to poke through the mattress. The sink had a huge crack in it, which allowed water that was on the counter to constantly drip on the floor. There was mold in the grout around the tub the day, we got there and it was never cleaned. The tub was dirty, and I understand if we had gone to the beach everyday, but we only went twice over our 7 day stay. They also never replaced the coffee in the room, but don’t worry you can go to the lobby and pay $5 for Starbucks. As others have mentioned they charge way too much for parking. $20 a night! Also, be careful of the garage elevator, only one of the elevators were working and it sounded and acted like it was about to break. Next time I am in the San Diego area, I will be staying in Del Mar which is less than 5 minutes away from this dingy hotel.
Positives: Common areas were nice. Great view of the ocean from the lobby.
Negatives: They never cleaned the bath tub, there was mold in the grout from the day we got there.

Despite the construction in the driveway area, this hotel was very quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Always willing to help or answer questions. The views were spectacular. Clean and peaceful.
Positives: Easy access to trails leading down the the beach-Torrey Pines State Park- very quiet
Negatives: The parking is steep at 20 dollars per day-our card did not always work to let us in and out of garage.

Good location. Quality rooms. It was busy with business travelers, so surprised that free Wi-Fi not available.
Positives: Location and value for Priceline.
Negatives: Was not informed of additional parking fee. Internet charge and some inconvenience with outside construction.

The Hilton at Torrey Pines is nice resort class hotel and it is probably one of the nicest in the chain. The pool area just completed renovation and is good for taking it easy. The Torreyana grill is also a good choice if you want to Have a good meal and not travel. While their breakfast menu is verbatim to the other hotels in the chain. They have a Unique lunch/dinner menu seconded in the area to the A.R. Valentian next door. The rooms are spacious and nice, the beds are comfortable and the facilities are clean and up to date. The only down side is that the Marine Corp's base is close by and they do their fly over exercises in the area, so be aware of the noise during the day, although it quiets down by nightfall. Overall the Hilton at Torrey pines is a good choice for people looking to get away from the traffic of San Diego.
Positives: It was located very close to the ocean and state nature preserve.
Negatives: An 16$ bagel is a bit to much even at a resort.

This hotel is in a beautiful location. All rooms are facing the ocean to a degree as well as the golf course - so I don't think you could have a bad view.
Positives: Liked how quiet it was. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Negatives: Room was not cleaned until very late in the day (4 pm).

My stay at the Torrey Pines was too short. The most important feature for me is cleanliness. My room was very, very clean. The room was dark and quiet for a solid night's sleep. It was a larger than an average room. I was a 15-minute drive from the beach and shops. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Positives: Ultra-clean and new. Great value.
Negatives: Nothing bad, really good value.

The hotel was lovely, pool great, service good. This was listed as a beach location hotel, which it is not. It caters to golfers, which we are not.
Positives: Room was extremely comfortable.
Negatives: No fridge in room, too far from beach.

Great hotel, great location, close to beaches but you'll definitely need a car to get around as it is a little off the beaten track, which is kinda nice. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Positives: Very nice hotel, very scenic location, excellent staff and service.
Negatives: Nothing.

The hotel was perfect for us. It was with my wife and I and we were looking to go to the beach and just take in a Padres game. We really enjoyed the room and all the amenities the hotel had to offer. You had to pay to park but with the discount we got through Priceline I don't mind it. We look forward to more vacations in the future using Priceline.
Positives: Perfect price and location.
Negatives: Could have used a snack machine for late night cravings.

We got this on a steal! I love the location, the feel of the lobby, they have a great view, just a great experience.
Positives: The cleanliness and attention to detail.
Negatives: Had to pay for computer use.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is right by Torrey Pines State Park, which is absolutely beautiful. It was a short run or walk from the hotel, and then several miles of trails that led down to the ocean. The hotel staff was excellent - very friendly and extremely helpful. Only complaint was the stale, dirty smell of our pillows (not the pillow cases, but the actual pillow).
Positives: The location was great - the views around the hotel were awesome.
Negatives: Our pillows had a funny smell to them - like dirty clothes or hair.

Located in the prestigious La Jolla area, this hotel is in a somewhat odd industrial/business location. Rooms are comfortable and typical of most Hiltons. But because of the area, the 'snot' factor is evident in staff attitudes. The $25 valet parking fee is ridiculous (considering that they just move your car a few feet). Some view of the ocean is nice. Overall acceptable but not outstanding.
Positives: Comfortable rooms, standard amenities.
Negatives: Overrated location, staff with attitudes.

This hotel was comfortable and employees were friendly. There were beautiful views of the beach and golf area.

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms were angled so as there were no really good views, the staff was very friendly, and the bar would be a great place for a
meeting as there was
no alcohol in our drinks.
Positives: Staff was
Negatives: Really no views from room, 1st room had puke being cleaned up when we got there.

Beautiful location and setting, staff has poor attitude and is very intrusive, housekeeping constantly knocking on the door day of check out, the stay started very nice but was tarnished by the staff great pricing and over-all worth the gamble with the staff.
Positives: Wonderful linens and atmosphere.
Negatives: Housekeeping knocked on door 4 times day of check out very intrusive staff.

Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. It was easy to get to and near the interstate, which made accessing all of San Diego very easy. The pool and hot tub area were excellent, as well as the fitness room. One down side is that you had to pay for internet access and parking.
Positives: The rooms were very spacious and cleanly. Excellent pool/spa area.
Negatives: It's on the ocean, but you can't access the beach from the hotel.

Overall, very nice place. Near I-5 and La Jolla restaurants are easy to access.
Positives: Great location and nice amenities.
Negatives: Housekeeping was lacking.

Terrible. The worst placed and situated hotel I have ever been to. I have been around the world and this was by far the strangest hotel I've ever seen.
Positives: Bell boy suggested a good place for brunch.
Negatives: No cell service -- it was a real life dead zone.
