This hotel was a disaster. For being a "resort," I was very disappointed. The entire hotel was musty, the walls were stained, and the room was old and dingy. The air conditioning unit was falling off of the wall. I was kind of afraid to sleep on the bed, but I just slept fully clothed instead. The closets had huge mirrors on them like they were from the 1980's. They tried to put a fancy bathroom in with tile, but it did not match the rest of the room. There was even an old tube television in there! They charged us a 20 dollar resort fee, which included their "deluxe continental breakfast." That breakfast was made up of toast, oatmeal, opened cereals in large, dirty bowls, and hard boiled eggs on ice! There was no meat at all. I most certainly will never, ever stay there again.
Positives: Checked us in quickly and gave us extra blankets.
Negatives: The room, the musty smell, the poor breakfast.

I asked the desk about the resort fee, was told that some locations do charge and others don't. So buyer beware. In this case its a $20 fee.
Positives: Great value.
Negatives: Resort fee.

It is a very old hotel. I would probably not go there again.
Positives: The staff.
Negatives: The pool, hot hallways, creaking floors and food.

The room was not attractive -- outdated -- looked like a Motel 6. The bed was the worst I have seen in any hotel -- lumpy and uncomfortable and the mattress was very thin. The FREE breakfast was only carbohydrates and not worth having the breakfast. The staff attempted to charge a "resort fee" and tack on additional costs. This was taken off after discussing the quality of the room and mattress with the manager. I was very disappointed with this stay. I would not stay here again nor recommend this to anyone. On the up side, there was a beautiful golf course view from the room window -- only "shining star".
Positives: Celebrity connections -- "old world charm".
Negatives: Outdated; overpriced; trying to nickel and dime when arrive; room was not attractive

Awesome location for BNP Paribas tennis tournament with free shuttle to/from tournament with absolute minimal walking. Unfriendly staff. Gorgeous pool and golf course.
Positives: Nice pool and golf course.
Negatives: Hidden $20/day "resort fee" that was never mentioned.

Old, but well cared for, Indian Wells resort is primarily a golf resort with friendly staff. But for price line customers this is a "resort" and if "resorts" are to be better than a 3 star facility, this one is not. If you are sent there you will be charged $22.25 for a mandatory breakfast charge (per two-person occupancy room).
Positives: Well cared for as an older property.
Negatives: Second floor noise transfers to the first floor

This is an old-luxury hotel in Indian Wells. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the pool area was, just don't expect the overall hotel to be very spectacular.
Positives: Great pool area, very decent breakfast buffet.
Negatives: It needs to be refurbished.

For what I paid for this hotel, this is a great value given the location.
Positives: Great location and very reasonably priced.
Negatives: Poor TV, missing equipment in fitness center (dumbbells).

The hotel was comfortable and meet our needs of a relaxing vacation. It is considered a Resort and I am not sure what that exactly means cause it did not seem like they had much activities to offer. My family and I enjoyed the pool, but I was disappointed how other guests left the pool area a disaster. I would not consider this a luxury resort, but like I said it meet our needs.
Positives: I loved the friendly staff and that breakfast was provided.
Negatives: Hotel guests were slobs at the pool not cleaning up after themselves.

One can see why the Indian Wells Resort would have been a hit 15 years ago. However, not much work has gone into it since then. The hotel pool was salt water a very refreshing with desert view surrounding you, but in order to get a towel you had to wait in line at the understaffed front desk. The hotel restaurant was relaxing, but only open for several hours in the day and no other food places were near by. Finally although the price for the hotel is reasonable enough, the hidden $20 resort fee you don't find out about until after you have checked in make this hotel not worth it to stay in for your typical business traveler.
Positives: Beautiful location with breath-taking desert views. Quiet rooms. Salt water pool.
Negatives: Not much besides golfing close to hotel. Hotel understaffed for summer hours. Has a beat-up feel, splotches of paint on walls. Bad internet connect.

We liked the location of the hotel and the happy hour in the afternoon with free appetizers and half price drinks and menu items. We enjoyed the full continental breakfast each morning for our family of four. The rooms are outdated and they feel like old hotel rooms with bedspreads. The bathroom fixtures were loose.

Positives: We liked the free continental breakfast and the afternoon happy hour.
Negatives: Our room was outdated and dirty.

It was a nice hotel. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but not outstanding. It was safe and clean. We went in January, and the hotel and room were a little hot. I was never able to adjust the room temperature control correctly. The Internet was hard to get. When I took my computer to the lobby I found there was an Indian Wells Hotel Internet connection, which I did not see in my room. After I connected to that in the lobby, I was still connected in my room, so the Internet was OK after that. Overall, I was happy with the hotel. I didn't like the resort fee.

Positives: Convenient, safe, adequate breakfast.
Negatives: The resort fee, the poor internet connection.

Very good for a 3 star. Absolutely no complaints. Only could have wished for a stove in the kitchenette. Otherwise, great.
Positives: Clean, attractive, friendly staff on the whole.
Negatives: The minute we said we might not be interested in a timeshare meeting the sales person's personality changed drastically, and not for the good.

The hotel was nice and up-to-date. The $20 resort fee for a local newspaper (I didn't read), Internet (I have my own broadband service) and basic continental breakfast was a bit offensive. If these fees can't be built into the cost of the room, perhaps they need to change their business model.
Positives: Clean, up-to-date, and comfortable bed.
Negatives: Resort fee, room backed up to ice/pop machines.

Comfortable and convenient but excessive fees left a bad taste.
Positives: Nice, clean, continental breakfast.
Negatives: The desert fee and the $20 resort fee.

Very nice room with very poor, obstructed view, probably due to the price I paid through Priceline.com. $20/day additional facilities fee was expected, but nevertheless objectionable! - included a mediocre continental breakfast, a nice fitness center which I did use, and pool use which I did not!!
Positives: Clean facilities and a
Negatives: Dining.

Negatives: Nothing

Hard to sleep because of thin walls, location near elevator and near busy highway. but it wasn't bad overall. The room was spacious and fairly clean
Positives: Convenient, relatively nice, and was easy to get to.
Negatives: Noisy, thin walls, too close to highway 111.

There is an extra $22 resort charge added to your bill at check out! Hotel is very dated, carpet, linens all threadbare. No internet service.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Very dated, no web SVC, threadbare linens.

I will never stay here again. It was old, the carpet was old and had a smell, which they attempted to cover up with vacuum freshener which overwhelmed your nose. The workout room was hot and loaded with dated, squeaky equipment. The continental breakfast was fine if you enjoyed white foods.
Positives: I can not think of anything that I would say I liked.
Negatives: Too much. It was old, carpet was old, beds were old/lumpy, I question if there were bugs. Nasty.
