This hotel is dirty! House keeping is non existent. Wedding was there weekend prior to us arriving and it was still dirty from that event. Staff is nice, golf course nice, but the hotel is outdated and musty smelling.
Positives: Nice golf course.
Negatives: Was not clean!

We were only in Morgan town for an overnight trip to visit WVU with daughter. Lake view was clean and easy to access even with minor road construction nearby. A tiny bit cramped in room but good for quick overnighter and close to college.
Positives: Within 20 Minutes from WVU, open airy setting, resort options available; condos, golf, spa, fitness etc.
Negatives: Cost of meals, did not use hotel services for dining. Beds weren't the best support.

The way the gps said to go, the road was closed, we called the hotel prior to that and they did not inform us of the construction around the area.
Positives: The scenery was nice, as was the deck bar.
Negatives: The sub I ordered was greasy, and didn't provide napkins.

I have pictures of the place--look for them on Trip Adviser: yucky stains, disintegrating ceilings, old cavernous beds, dirty walls, windows and rugs. It can only be a one-star at best. Awful place.
Positives: I didn't
Negatives: The entire place is creepy and seedy.

Double bed room that were not large enough to comfortably fit my boyfriend and I for our romantic anniversary night. TV had few channel selections and pay per view could not even be accessed for some reason in our room. Coffee maker in the room, but no cream or sugar. Did not meet our expectations whatsoever as we booked a 3 1/2 star room that should have been super nice with numerous amenities, and this room did not even come close.
Positives: Nice toiletries.
Negatives: Badly located, terrible

Clean, old, but more than adequate for a stop over en route to somewhere else.
Positives: Good value for just spending the night.
Negatives: Location is tricky and Priceline's 3.5 star rating is excessive.

Hotel is excellent with plenty of percs, pool, fitness facility, and golf course. Although we are not golfers, the course adds to the beautiful ambiance of the hotel.
Positives: Nice setting. Friendly staff. Food and bartender good.
Negatives: Breakfast was limited to buffet and pricey by our standards. Adding $2 for coffee is inappropriate.

Hotel needed a make over badly rooms smelled old, furniture was outdated, staff was unhelpful.
Positives: They was a farmers market taking place at the hotel while I was there, sampled local produce.
Negatives: It was described as 3 star, definitely not 3 star. at best was a 2 star. Location was out of the way.

Hotel was spacious, looked like it had some great conference rooms. Nice, big hot tub with plenty of jets. Heated pool with plenty of room on the deep end. Great staff. Spa Roma, the hotel spa was excellent. Got a great massage. Was offered hot stones as an add on. Usually they don't do much for me, but a figured to give it a try anyway. Wow, was glad I did, felt awesome on my back.
Positives: Hotel Staff excellent. My mother called prior to my check in and they relayed the message.
Negatives: None

I was disappointed in the hotel. It looks like it is long overdue for a major upgrade. This was once a top-of-the-line resort, but it doesn't look that way now.
Positives: Price we got on lodging from Priceline.
Negatives: The rooms and lobby look like a state park.

This is a typical meeting place with a golf course. It is not a romantic place but it a nice place. You can hear each other in between rooms. This place was buillt for a company to hold a meeting in the morning and let the guys play golf in the afternoon.
Positives: Bar tender was friendly.
Negatives: This was the off season so business was slow. The staff appeared to be in hibernation mode themselves but they were friendly.

Horrible hotel, was upgraded from 3 star pick to 3.5 star pick. We left a day early to get the crap out of this place.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

friendly folks; nice get-away, but somewhat inconvenient location; no bell-hop services; stay away if you are on business -- not optimized for someone on the go.
Positives: Fine if staying for more than one night.
Negatives: Food completely unavailable after 11 pm. Further, continental breakfast's are completely useless and sign of bad hotel.

It's probably a good place for golfers. It's a bit of a drive into Morgantown, if that is your optimum destination, but sometimes the drive is worth the comfort of a clean well-appointed room. In all, an awesome Priceline price for the stay.
Positives: Cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms.
Negatives: Hotel staff tired, or just plain unfriendly.

Upon driving up to this hotel/golf resort, we were very impressed. Well-maintained grounds, beautiful lobby, and a quick check-in. Everything after was disappointing. Our room was sub-par. I have stayed at Motel 6s, Super 8s, and local motels with better quality linens, mattresses, and decor than our room had. There was a giant dip in the middle of the old mattress that I kept "falling" into. The deadbolt on the door didn't even work, and the heater smelled like it was on fire! There was 1 each of hand-towel and wash-cloth in the room, 2 body towels, and the cheapest, thinnest bath and facial tissues I've ever seen.
Positives: Safe location.
Negatives: Terrible mattress, ugly outdated room.

I will not stay here again, unless they decide to catch up with the times and update their facility.
Positives: Convenience to Morgantown, WV (WVU stadium).
Negatives: It needed to be upgraded. No refrig and microwave. It was built in 1954 and I felt like I was in the 60's..

The employees were very helpful, close to what I needed, but not for a family looking for things to do. The pool was clean, didn't go in but did take a look at it. Over all it was fine for my short trip.
Positives: Close to what I needed.
Negatives: Could have been a little cleaner in the hallways

While this is a fine moderate facility, it is not 3-1/2 stars. Relatively clean but pretty run down in spots. Off the beaten path.
Positives: Large room with Queen beds.
Negatives: A little run down, showing it's age. Hallways smelled of smoke.

Very noisy. Awakened at 3:00 AM from noise in next room which continued until 6:00 AM. Management did not seem very concerned when it was brought to their attention. Swimming Pool was closed in early morning when we wanted to use it. The TV<BR/>was small and old.
Positives: Food was good, but overpriced. Waiter was wonderful.
Negatives: Too noisy. Did not feel like a guest there.

I drove around in circles for about fifteen minutes before I actually found this spot and then I had a hard time figuring out what building I was supposed to go to. However, once I'd figured that out and entered the hotel lobby, everything changed. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. When I walked in the lobby was perfectly decorated, clean, and beautiful. My room was clean and spacious with all the commodities plus some. I was extremely comfortable and spent a wonderful, relaxing night there. I'd say it was well worth the trouble I had finding it and would recommend it to anyone!
Positives: Everything was clean, beautiful and spacious.
Negatives: I had a hard time finding it.

Nice place to stay. Rooms were a little small and we had to wait for towels at the pool (had to go to front desk twice to ask for towels). Would stay again.
Positives: Nice atmosphere - indoor pool.
Negatives: No gift shop for snacks, candy, etc..

Convenient to I-68 and next to a lake. Old buildings, hodgepodge carpeting and bathroom. Even the parking arrangement looked chaotic. It could have been a charmer in it's prime. No refrigerator nor microwave. There is a coffee maker in the room.
Positives: Near a lake and interstate.
Negatives: My bed

Rooms are musty old furnishings. Bad bathrooms. No views of area anyplace in hotel except meeting rooms so strange. This place is tired.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Musty rooms and tired Hotel.

Overall, this place was pretty good and I would recommend it to someone else who was looking for a kind of cheap place to stay with lots on-site things to do. Priceline has always met my expectations with hotels, and I will continue to stick to booking through Priceline.
Positives: Seemed like there were a lot of fun extras available to us.
Negatives: The building with the actual rooms didn't smell to good.

Much nicer hotel than expected, employees helpful and friendly.
Positives: Very classy and clean, super employees.
Negatives: We had to leave to continue our vacation trip.

I don't understand why they call themselves a resort. The hotel was very run down and extremely outdated. Ripped leather furniture, old paneled walls, awful carpets, and the smell was almost unbearable. I watched a staff member interact with incoming guests for a wedding and she was very rude and seemed as if she was not interested in being helpful even though this was her job. Each time I entered the building there was never any staff present at the front desk for assistance. On another note, I recommend that you do not eat there. I would expect their food to be top notch since it is a resort and all. I've had better meals at Denny's. Also, I'm not a golfer, but their pricing seemed a bit overwhelming. Overall, I was very disappointed and will not return.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Extremely outdated and very over priced!

Clean and comfortable but nothing exceptional or extra.
Positives: Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Very noisy, could hear everything from halls and other rooms.

For a two star hotel it would be nice - the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. They are obviously trying to upgrade but it has not reached the star level. It was not worth the price.
Positives: The bed was comfortable.
Negatives: It had a rundown feel to it. It was clean but musty smelling, exterior doors were not key entry but unlocked.

My stay was nice and short. The only complaint I have is that the hotel was very difficult to find. Maybe it has something to do with West Virginia being anti-GPS in general, but I was extremely lost while looking for the hotel. I finally gave up and called the front desk and she was extremely helpful. Once I got there, my room was very standard, similar to a Comfort Inn.

Positives: Facilities are clean and it is located in a safe area.
Negatives: It was very difficult to find.

A golf course does not make a 3.5 star hotel, 2 stars on it best. Day mold everywhere, wallpaper falling, early 70s decor, and not cleaned since new 13 inch TV. The smell was not good at all.
Positives: Not a dam thing the worst!
Negatives: Run down flea bag of a hotel, mold falling walls, etc.

very acomadating , very respectful staff and friendly very intuned with their patrons needs and I could see them go above even this if needed. Very clean and this hotel /spa / golf-course was in very upkept condition even all the landscape ect....
Positives: The decor was like home very victorian and certainly one could find entertaining on the spot without travel
Negatives: all was very good*****

Lakeview is in a beautiful setting. The facilities are showing their age, and could use an update. The one thing I noticed is that there were dishes from room service on the floor in the hall, and remained their for my entire visit. I did check in one evening and out late the next morning. I know that house keeping was on the floor during the night, so I would think that they would have picked up the dishes.
Positives: The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: The carpets need to be replaced or cleaned desperately.
