My wife and I both loved the hotel. Staff was very nice and efficient and upgraded us to king bed when requested at no extra cost. Pay parking if a little irritating, but they have a large covered garage also used by the public and cost was not bad at 12 dollars. Easy and enjoyable walk to riverfront park and again to downtown where we had breakfast at a great pastry/restaurant. Wonderful price for the package all together. Would have liked a fridge in room and a safe.
Positives: Location to park and downtown. Great bed.
Negatives: Pay parking but not real bad, only outdoor pool and visible to a lot of rooms, no refrigerator in room.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Doubletree. The cookies were delicious! We weren't in one of the renovated rooms but it was still very nice, (I grew up with popcorn ceilings, it's not a deal). We did have noisy neighbors and the security guards came right away when I called down to the front desk. They offered us free coffee for the inconvenience and advised that the guests were checking out. It was centrally located and they had reduced the highly over-priced parking.

Positives: The front desk was very friendly and attentive.
Negatives: Noisy neighbors, but this isn't the hotels fault.

Nice hotel. Unhelpful hotel staff. Had to pay for parking, even when we were guests of the hotel. Small room for 4 adults, and only 1 bed. Odd/hard to get to location.
Positives: Clean room.
Negatives: Small room. Only 1 bed for 4 adults. Had to pay for parking. Non-helpful hotel staff (except the man who brought rollaway bed).

Positives: Nice size rooms with very comfortable beds.
Negatives: Had to pay $16.00 extra for parking.

It's a nice hotel. It is not luxurious, but it is nice. I would recommend it.
Positives: Cleanliness
Negatives: No laundry facilities.

Very enjoyable stay.
Positives: The hotel was located near the Riverwalk and central public park.
Negatives: The hotel's decor for our room was dated however in the midst of being updated.

Wonderful, great cookies, large clean rooms. Parking is the only negative, but it is a downtown hotel so parking is always a premium.
Positives: Large spacious room, and nice bathroom amenities.
Negatives: Extra charge for parking and the garage was full with people from other events.

Great location, very friendly staff, parking fee a little high at $16.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Parking fee.

I rather enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I really liked that there was a coffee stand in the lobby/latte's available. I wasn't please that I had to pay for parking, but the valet service was nice. Just didn't realize there was no free parking available. Overall, I loved the location, had a nice room, it was quiet and the service I experienced was always friendly and prompt. I would have liked a microwave/little fridge in my room. I tend to eat in for breakfast/lunch....as I'm such a finicky eater. It always surprises me that 'lower end' hotels almost always have the microwave/fridge, but the nicer more expensive ones, do not. Seems like the more you pay, the less you get. I also stayed at another 4 star hotel recently (A Red Lion, I think), at the Seattle Airport, and that room also did not have microwave/fridge and for Internet connectivity, there was a charge. I was flabbergasted.
Positives: I was very pleased that they were willing to not charge me for the first night, with basically 'no questions. I had car trouble/arrived a day late.
Negatives: Paying for parking/valet. I think parking should be a service that comes with the stay.

I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Positives: The appearance was beautiful.
Negatives: It had mold in the shower. I was expecting a lot more for a 3 star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Was very quiet and nice restaurant in house. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Bathroom needed some repair on on counter but all was clean.
Positives: Very quiet, excellent view, and excellent walking path along the river.
Negatives: Had to pay to park !

Overall nice location. It's a simple hotel, but works well. The free shuttle is also very accommodating.
Positives: You can request a fridge.
Negatives: The television stations are very limited.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was a bit business-like, less friendly, but very helpful and provided necessary information to questions. The workout room was very nice and provided a wide variety of exercise.
Positives: The room was very comfortable and workout room was excellent.
Negatives: The bathroom was a little dirty.

The hotel itself was fine.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Very upset at having to pay 17 plus dollars for parking.

The lobby was newly updated with a modern decor. The hotel has two restaurants providing a large selection of food. The pool is nice but outdoors so it is closed in the cold season. Hotub is open year round but also outside.
Positives: it is very close to the convention center and downtown shopping.
Negatives: Loud HVAC unit, no included breakfast, small double beds, $16 per day parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 10 Nov 2010 rated 3 out of 10.
Fine if you are in business in the hotel, or immediate area. Otherwise hard to navigate and the cost of parking was not worth it.
Positives: It had a nice television.
Negatives: Small beds, no food, hard to get around in......parking far from room, elevator rides that were crowded.

Very nice facility. Had to wait for a long time before someone came out and waited on us at the front desk. They were not friendly.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Unfriendly staff.

$16 parking fee, room was showing age tatters, poor TV (being upgraded to flat screens, but not my room). Good location, friendly staff.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room was deteriorating.

The hotel was adequate and the room was okay. We were on the 15th floor so we had a nice view. We weren't too impressed with the bathroom, but the comfortable king-size bed made up for it. We didn't end up eating in any of the hotel restaurants, so I can't comment on those. The free covered parking was nice.
Positives: It had the most comfortable king-size bed we've ever slept on in a hotel.
Negatives: The bathroom was shabby and needed a face lift.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 19 Sep 2010 rated 10 out of 10.
I will stay there again.
Positives: Very clean, friendly and organized.
Negatives: The surprise parking fee of $16.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 16 Sep 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
The location is great and staff was friendly. There were some issues. The TV access was bad I have ever seen, our air conditioner was the noisiest I have ever heard, Had to pay an additional $16 to park. The things that make this hotel worth staying at though are the comfortable beds, great location and perfect temperature pool. Although I had to hold my towel in the pool changing room as there was no hook to hang a single item on!
Positives: Beds were comfortable. Location was great!
Negatives: We had to pay an additional $16 for parking, noisy air conditioner, and TV access. There were no hooks in the pool changing room.

Updating of the old analog televisions (to be completed soon) will get this closer to a 3 star hotel. Great location remodeling is looking good. Biggest negative is the additional parking fee of $16.00 + Tax of $1.39. No parking anywhere near the hotel.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Parking.

Nice stay and it was very peaceful for the downtown city area.
Positives: Great view of the park and river from our room on the north side.
Negatives: Parking cost was $15.00.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. No issues at all during our stay. I would recommend this hotel to others staying in Spokane.
Positives: Very close to Riverside Park and many restaurants. Great location - easy to find.
Negatives: Parking was a bit expensive - $16 per day even though local rates were $5 for events.

Extremely disappointed in the parking situation. Shouldn't have to pay $16 just to park for one day!
Positives: Beds were comfy, but would have preferred a king instead of 2 doubles.
Negatives: Didn't think we should have to pay for parking.

They have hidden charges, the staff was rude and we felt like we were looked at as stealing the rate because we booked through Priceline.
Positives: Absolutly nothing. Hidden charges, $17.00 to park, held $50.00 and 5 days later still not returned.
Negatives: Hotel staff were rude, hidden charges, would not recommend to anyone.

The room's furnishing were shabby, and our room overlooked the roof of a lower section of the hotel. The fans on the roof were so noisy we could not open our windows to let fresh air in. I am quite sure this was the same room they put me in on the previous visits. Thus my suspicion.
Positives: Great location by Riverside park.
Negatives: Pay parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Jul 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
The hotel is older but still nice. However the parking situation is ridiculous. The hotel is located adjacent to the convention center and the parking garage is behind the convention center. The hotel also gouges you for the parking.
Positives: Location was nice right on the river.
Negatives: The exorbitant rate they charged for parking your car. As a hotel guest I would expect less than the $16 daily maximum.

Great price and perfect location for a hotel during Hoopfest. The lobby and rooms have been nicely updated.
Positives: Fresh, warm cookies upon arrival, comfortable beds, ice water in lobby.
Negatives: The hotel made a mistake on the bill. Small pool area.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 25 Jun 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
Walls were paper thin. The parking was really expensive with no alternative. Not what I would expect from a 3 star hotel
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Excess parking charges.

Great place to stay.
Positives: Close to downtown.
Negatives: Hidden cost for parking 16 bucks.

We had a middle of the night check-in and the staff was very courteous. Our tv was not working and the maintenance person came up right away to resolve the problem.
Positives: Great staff.
Negatives: Room view was of a roof top & $50 pet fee.

Overall, a fine hotel. We just wanted Queens, and upgraded to get them, but found after a room change or two, that their idea of Queen was different from mine.
Positives: Clean and affordable.
Negatives: Beds felt like doubles instead of Queens.

This hotel is clean, comfortable, and in an ideal location. Problem is that, there are no amenities to speak of, no indoor pool, no room fridges, tiny guest room bathrooms and that their ideal location makes it possible for them to charge an increasing amount of money for parking each time we go back and you have no other parking options nearby, so you have to park in the garage. Location is great, though it is a fairly tall building in the area the views from the upper floors are great. Easy walking distance to anything you might need or want to see. Surprisingly quiet for being in the center of downtown. Newly remodeled, modern style lobby and nice dining areas.
Positives: Clean, good downtown location, beautiful lobby, good dining.
Negatives: Stripped of amenities save for the starbucks in the lobby. Parking is expensive, and not included in the cost.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 12 Feb 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
Rooms are average, nothing special. Staff was accommodating to request to move to upper floor on second night although they did charge me $15 more for queen beds.
Positives: Free WiFi.
Negatives: Dust on surfaces in room. No sink outside of bathroom, no microwave or fridge.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Sep 2009 rated 9 out of 10.
Very friendly staff and reasonable price. The facility is not brand new but is kept clean. Located right next to the downtown park with great view. Parking is kinda expensive, but that is about the only negative point. It's got a pool too.
Positives: Everything.
Negatives: Parking fee.
