The parking was very reasonable.
Positives: The staff were friendly, the ice machine was convenient.
Negatives: The bathroom was extremely small, you had to enter it sideways.

Nice place, and good location. Tiny room the first two nights! Our family of four had to share one king size bed. You could hardly move in the room it was so small! After two nights, they were able to move us to a larger room which was much better. It was clean and a good place. Would have been fine if we did not have the kids with us.
Positives: Nice decor.
Negatives: Rooms were very small.

Management - Helpful, friendly. Staff - Helpful, friendly. Decor - Very unusual. Has style!! I loved it! Rooms - Extremely comfortable beds and bedding but rooms are very small. Location – Great. Elevator - So very small! Give it a try! I am glad I did!
Positives: The hotel hallways made me feel like I was in a dream. Very cool!
Negatives: Size of rooms are a bit cramped.

Central location, but disorienting blown-up photos covering the hallway walls and doors. Inside you will find a tiny room, a bathroom only a flight attendant could like, and don't bring much luggage because there's nowhere to put it. OK for a 1 night stay for 1 person especially if you don't plan to spend much time in your room. Trendy, modern look and artwork in the room was nice.
Positives: Clean, sleek, and modern.
Negatives: Tiny bathroom and closet, small room, no place for suitcases, overpriced.

Love it! Tons of fun, great price! Can't wait to go back!
Positives: Loved the room! In the heart of Seattle with a modern touch!
Negatives: Shower is small.

My partner got to the hotel before I did. I was excited about the room. He texted me upon checking in, saying the hotel was 'quaint'. He didn't seem thrilled. But I still had high hopes. He checked in with a debit card and they charged his card $75 even though I had pre-paid for the room, and they had my card on file, which I found a little irritating. They have yet to put the money back on his card, four days later. The valet was very attentive when I pulled up (and they better be, charging $30 for me to use their service). The front desk staff was really nice (although I should mention when I tried to call them it rang about a dozen times and then I was put on hold for over five minutes before anyone was able to answer my question). The elevators were so small, you really could only fit two people in them comfortably. Four would be a tight squeeze, especially with bags or luggage. The hallways were uniquely decorated, we enjoyed the art work and the different door designs. Opening the room was a big disappointment. The room was so small! We had a view of three brick buildings and other hotel rooms. The bath only had a shower, which was located in one small closet-like space with the toilet and sink located in another small closet-like space. If you are looking for any nice little freebies, this place isn't for you. The regular sized bottle of water was $6.00. The bed was comfortable but the overall feel of the room was small and old. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my friends or family, especially at the prices they want to charge people. We won't be back again.
Positives: It was unique in decoration. We really liked the art.
Negatives: Everything was so ridiculously small. Not a very comfortable stay. We were happy to check out.

Not what I expected for a 3.5 star hotel. Unfriendly hotel staff at the front desk, very dark interiors, super small room, very poor bathroom that had a small room for the toilet and then another small room for the shower, noisy air conditioner and the room across the hall had a smoker (when it is a non-smoking hotel)
Positives: Large flat screen TV.
Negatives: Very small room, poor bathrooms, noisy, poor parking options.

Max is on the far end of downtown closer to the space needle. The elevators were so small we had to have them bring our bags up separately and we had to maneuver to get in the elevator with two people and our stroller (we barely fit). The rooms try to be modernly decorated, but it comes across looking cheap. Our deadbolt completely broke off and was unusable. There was a small fridge and the rooms were decent size, but the bathroom was very small. Overall, if you're looking for a cheap room and get a good rate it's doable, but I would recommend somewhere else if you can afford it.
Positives: Cool pictures/artistic vibe.
Negatives: Elevators were extremely small and could barely fit with a stroller; rooms were small and looked cheap.

Overall, my friends and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is missing some amenities that would deter some people from visiting, but the quiet adult atmosphere was refreshing.
Positives: I really liked the artistic atmosphere and the staff exceeded my expectations.
Negatives: The washrooms were really small.

It felt like this hotel used to be a place that rented rooms by the hour and covered up that fact by putting some nice paintings and new carpet in. I wouldn't stay there again. traffic was very loud in the morning and the room was tiny!
Positives: Very stylish.
Negatives: Our room was super small!

Very upscale funky. I like it and will go back whenever possible.
Positives: Great location, great accommodations and
Negatives: Seattle parking is a problem, no matter, but valet service hotel provides is fine, just all parking is something to be prepared for.

Perfect location to all points of interest in Seattle.
Positives: The atmosphere was modern, hip and sophisticated.
Negatives: The hotel staff seemed uninterested in their guests. They were helpful when asked, but not one to offer help or conversation unless asked.

The hotel was very hip, but a little uncomfortable considering the small rooms, bathrooms, elevators, etc. I wish the hotel had vending machines too, luckily it was close to a small market where snacks could be purchased at a reasonable price. The only complaint I have about the room is the air conditioner/heater was a window unit, it didn't heat the room evenly, it was very noisy at night, and it made everything stuffy and dried out.
Positives: I liked the decor and artistic atmosphere. It was also very close to pike place.
Negatives: The rooms and elevator are very small. No microwave. Window air conditioner/heater was annoying.

For location in Seattle, you couldn't get much better. Even with the "cozy" rooms, it had such tasteful surroundings, I didn't mind. Loved my hot bath the first time I stayed, then the next time I got the "small shower" stall. Everyone at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. We got an early check in, which we didn't expect, with no complaints.
Positives: Artsy and fun, helpful staff, door-persons, youthful but willing to help an older woman.
Negatives: No pool or hot tub.

The Hotel Max had a very hip and uptown feel from the second I walked in the door. The desk staff were courteous and competent and friendly.
Positives: The hotel was hip and incarnated Seattle as a hip, urban center.
Negatives: The room I was in was small.

Overall I think it was a nice hotel, located near within walking distance of attractions and/or public transportation hubs. Shower was minuscule.

Negatives: Shower was tiny.

This would be a good hotel to stay in if you have business in Seattle. Freeway access is reasonable, and the hotel was decorated nicely, and the bed was comfortable. I heard the sushi was quite good in the restaurant.
Positives: The decor was upscale, and the bed was comfortable.
Negatives: Parking was expensive, although public parking was nearby.

Hotel Max staff were wonderful, even returning a wallet stuffed with cash within a few minutes of our accidentally dropping it. Even the General Manager assisted with our luggage. The art was fun and unusual.
Positives: Hotel Max was trendy, arty, fun, convenient to downtown Seattle, and the staff was great!
Negatives: Probably shouldn't charge for TV shows.

We were very disappointed in the parking situation, we should not have to pay $39 to park in their parking lot. We were very inconvienced by having to find parking elsewhere.
Positives: The rooms were clean.
Negatives: The cost they charge for parking!

Negatives: Everything.

The hotel max was very cool! I loved the artwork and the Seattle feel. The staff was very helpful and attentive. But the rooms were tiny. I was traveling solo so it was fine but it would of been horrible had I taken a companion with me. There was barely room to move. I didn't like the vanity and shower being separate and there was no counter space.
Positives: The hotel was very cool and had a great seattle vibe.
Negatives: The rooms were so small it felt like a shoe box.

Hotel Max greets guests with dance music outside and one or more doormen reach to hold the door when you enter. My husband I were carrying a 61 pound tote-we know we checked it on a flight! Strangely, the staff saw us sweating, but did not offer to help us (although their cart was at hand). Other than that incident, we found the staff helpful with restaurant recommendations and town car reservations.
Positives: The quality amenities of the room and informed staff.
Negatives: The room size was barely larger than the queen-sized bed--the shower was in a closet.

Hotel Max is a rehabbed downtown hotel. The rooms are incredibly small - smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room was smaller than our cabin on our cruise ship. The elevator will hold two people only. It does have a great view of the Space Needle and the downtown location is wonderful. Parking in the garage is $30 a day.
Positives: Great downtown location.
Negatives: Very small rooms
