Very overpriced for aged decor and grim appearances. Plus we were given a room with utility room beneath us and also beside us that hissed and roared all day and night, and we were right next to main front entrance, so we had no privacy and got to greet everyone coming and going like a Walmart greeter.
Positives: The bathroom and shower was great, did not match poor room and community spaces.
Negatives: Aged and depressing decor basically, in need of upgrade, way overpriced!

This is a motel, not a hotel. Rooms on 2 levels with no elevator....not H/C friendly.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Dated room.

We felt that we were put in the worst possible room available, because we used Priceline, receiving a mere 15% discount. The hotel had many nicer rooms that were not being used during our stay. In other words, we felt we were being punished for attempting to save a little money. Room was a non-smoking room, but still smelled badly of cigarettes.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Smelly, damp room w/low natural light, and poor insulation regarding noise from other units.

The Vancouver Hyatt is in a great location, close to many of the city attractions and neighborhoods.
Positives: The room was very nice size and nicely appointed.
Negatives: The cost of parking.

Between the non-connected lobby and outdated hallway and room decor, I can only presume that the three stars are relative to the other hotels in town and/or the whole "Twilight" craze. This place was nothing special. More La Quinta than Embassy Suites.
Positives: Central location to downtown and ferries.
Negatives: Having to cross the parking lot to reach the lobby. Room decor doesn't deserve 3 stars.

This is an older property--probably built in the S--but it has been very well kept up. The rooms were nicely decorated and appealing to this senior traveler. The double queen was very spacious, but the single queen was rather cramped. Room service was quick and responsive, but the food was so-so and kind of pricey for the quality. Some people would find the hotel's No Smoking policy a plus.
Positives: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They get an A+.
Negatives: One of our 2 rooms was quite small & that was where the toddler was staying.

Great location.
Positives: Pool is excellent. Location is excellent.
Negatives: Understaffed. Long wait for customer service-- VERY LONG! No real lobby/reception area not inviting.

It was fine. The bathroom especially looked old.The housekeeper did not give us new glasses for the second night but took the initial glasses away. Found papercups so that was okay.
Positives: Location is great! Desk staff very efficient.
Negatives: The long hallways are dark. Rooms, especially the bathroon looks old.

Nice convenient stay to catch the morning ferry to Victoria. Just right across the street and has nice restaurant on sight.
Positives: A clean neat and convenient place to stay over night while waiting to board ferry to Victoria.
Negatives: Room was smelly.

It looks and feels like an Econolodge. There was free Wi-Fi, which was extremely nice. It is located on the edge of the Straight of Juan de Fuca and has a great view. The rooms are spacious but the furniture is cheap and nothing special.
Positives: The location of this hotel was amazing.
Negatives: This hotel looks and feels like a cheap hotel.

We love the location and that it is dog friendly. We wish there was a computer on site for guests to use.
Positives: location
Negatives: The room could of been cleaner. There was a beer cap that I stepped on and cut my foot!

Although this hotel is close to the Ferry's that take you to Victoria, BC, it is no way a two star hotel. This is a one star motel that is overpriced. The restaurant at the hotel is equally overpriced and understaffed.
Positives: It is very close to the Ferry and parking was cheap to leave it while traveling to Canada.
Negatives: Too expensive for the quality of room.

The Red Lion Hotel is conveniently located next to down town Port Angeles. The location right on the water is excellent. The restaurant located with the hotel is somewhat overpriced. The rooms were generally clean and well-maintained. The bathroom could have used some updating and more thorough cleaning, however.
Positives: Excellent location - right on the water.
Negatives: Rooms could have been cleaner (particularly the bathroom).

The hotel staff was excellent and quite helpful. The accommodations are very clean and updated and there was easy access to the ferries, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is very nice and I'd stay there again if in the area.
Positives: Clean and updated rooms.
Negatives: Paying for parking.

Positives: Location, and very quiet.
Negatives: No computer room for internet access.

This place was old and dirty, the bathroom wasn't clean. There was still excrement in the toilet and hair around the base. Just plain nasty. I can't believe this is considered a 3 star hotel.
Positives: It's on the waterfront.
Negatives: Dirty.

Hotel located in scenic Port Angeles. The staff was friendly, informative and accommodating. Rooms were nice. Water & mountain view on 1 side and mountains on the other. Well maintained waterfront walking/biking path. Location was great for any activity. Marine lab, beach & all downtown are right there.
Positives: Knew the area & hotel & it exceeded my expectations. Staff was helpful & friendly. Loved the location. Loved the view! Highly recommend!
Negatives: It was a bet of a hassle to friends to get in because of parking attendant and locked doors. Some mold in the bathroom.

Overall good experience at a reasonable price.
Positives: Location, staff.
Negatives: Only partially updated, bathroom window mildew, old commode.

Great location for ferries to Vancouver Is and anything downtown. Clean and pleasant with basic amenities. Staff friendly. This is a convenient place to stay.
Positives: Convenient location to ferries and downtown.
Negatives: An unpleasant odor when entering the room.

Hotel, you must get the rooms with the view. The exercise room was small but had good equipment. The pool area was nice al bit noisy with all the kids around. Cannot say enough about the view and walking path.
Positives: The rooms with the view were hands down the very best! Worth every penny.
Negatives: Rooms without view not so great even not as well appointed.

Our stay here was pretty pleasant overall. We upgraded to a water view room for $20 which we both felt was worth the cost. I would have enjoyed the room more if we had been further away from the dock/beach area which can be a little noisy and the view in that direction is not that great. If you enjoy people watching from your balcony the rooms closer to the dock are probably good. We had a 2nd floor room and we were not able to find an elevator. There may be one somewhere because we didn't search much. You may want to check on that if you are not able to carry all the luggage up a flight of stairs like we did.
Positives: Proximity to water.
Negatives: Not enough power outlets in room.

We loved the view and the festival with it is live music (we could hear from our deck). I brought my senior citizen mother along and she stayed on the deck for hours watching the ships come and go.
Positives: The view was wonderful watching ships come and go.
Negatives: The railing was a bit loose.

Friendly staff at check in. Location right on the waterfront. Close to ferry terminals and city center. The room was slightly slanted, felt like downhill towards door. Very noisy from room above, could hear people walking creaking floors at night. Parking was free and very accessible. Rooms and hotel in general need updating.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Room slanted towards door.
