For the price I got on priceline, this hotel was fabulous! The staff was helpful, the room was more than adequate, and the view was nice (even though I could hear the traffic a little).
Positives: Clean, nice outdoor pool/ lake view (a small view, but nice).
Negatives: The walls were a little thin; I could hear the people in the next room (and they were not being loud).

This use to be a very upscale hotel with a huge buffet on week-ends. Now it's been run into the ground before they've started their upgrading. Ferns growing in the gutters. I'm from Olympia originally and a previous employee of the Red Lion as well so this was sad to me. The hospitality still remains very good. The room seemed clean and nice. They need to look seriously at their corridors for repainting, carpeting, etc. Also bring back their buffet's as well as entertainment.
Positives: Location and view.
Negatives: Very run down compared to previous. Remodel in progress.

is OK for a short time (1 day) but I feel that it wasn't to what a Red Lion should be. Paint coming off the walls everywhere, smell like my grandmas house, (not good).
Positives: Front desk staff very helpful.
Negatives: Location, room presences, markings on the walls.etc.

An older hotel with a great setting in a good location. The front desk personnel was most helpful. This was our first time using Priceline. We did- with a very nice view. Woman at the front desk told us she had located us away from the prom that was to take place that evening. Thank You! The lounge had a lovely view of water and grounds.
Positives: Front desk staff was very accommodating when we complained about smoke smell in non-smoking room.
Negatives: Windows were either old or dirty so obstructed beautiful view.

This is an older hotel (for U.S. standards) that is showing wear. Although it appears some renovations have been made, it could use more. The hotel is located some distance from Olympia's downtown core. Some rooms and the dining areas have a nice view of the Capital buildings. I thought the restaurant's menu was a little short on entree options.
Positives: Friendly staff, no charge for parking.
Negatives: Noisey room.

It was really nice. After a long drive to have dinner at the restaurant would have been nice except it was closed and on a Saturday night. Other than that not much else to report.
Positives: Quick check-in and check out.
Negatives: Restaurant closed at 10PM.

I travel a lot for both work & play. I believe that this is the worst experience that I have ever encountered. This stay ruined my Christmas Holiday vacation. This hotel's care for the safety of their guests in the hotel & restaurant was unconscionable! They also lied to me to my face about several issue and the charges for this horrible stay. I would never recommend staying at this hotel.
Positives: The decorations in the lobby.
Negatives: Management lack of concern for guests & they were lying to me.

Very nice location, just out of downtown but close enough, beautiful Northwest feeling landscape and surroundings.
Positives: Very nice location, just out of downtown but close enough, beautiful environment and view of capitol building.
Negatives: No continental breakfast, and the typical slow elevators for small hotels. (stairs are better for me anyway).

Overall our stay was outstanding, with the exception of a hot coco spill that was not cleaned up as we requested.
Positives: Food via room service - outstanding.
Negatives: Bed was too hard.

I had called ahead because I knew I would be early and asked about early check in. He said he would note it and they would accommodate me as early as I could. When I checked in, I obviously irked the woman, as she glared at me and then turned to the person behind me without explanation. My main concern was comfort and quiet. The view was of my car in the parking lot, which I liked because there was no security. But the large window was at ground level & had no security lock or screens, so I was unable to open the window, which I like to do. The internet was down, so there was no place to check email. No complimentary coffee or breakfast of any kind. (2 cup pot in room) Buffet breakfast ($9) barely edible. Food menu in bar was awesome - very good and cheap. Not available in am, though. No info available about Olympia or activities/maps, etc. Outdoor pool was large, although I didn't use it. Lots of towels. No ice on my floor; I had to go up a floor to get any. No fridge in room. This is the best lodging in our state capital. Pitiful.
Positives: The room was large and clean; free parking; good location; quiet; tub & shower; lots of towels.
Negatives: No security for ground floor windows; no ice on ground floor; internet access down.

Good location. Easy access to Interstate 5, the Evergreen State College, a few hours away from coastal towns. Close to shopping, downtown and Lacey, Tumwater, and Fort Lewis. Lush greenery visible from dining room which overlooks Capital Lake.
Positives: Easy access off interstate and close to shopping and downtown events.
Negatives: Pork sausage at breakfast buffet was underdone.

A little difficult to find but very quiet and in a beautiful setting.
Positives: The room was spacious and comfortable.
Negatives: Noticed some mold in the shower.

It was a very nice hotel and met my expectations. I was very happy with the location and had a great time visiting the area.
Positives: The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
Negatives: There was an odor in the room, once the windows were opened and the room aired out, it was ok.

Good quality motel, out of the way but close to capitol & downtown; somewhat dated in public places but nice room updates. Good room service.
Positives: Very quiet, bathroom very good, updated room.
Negatives: No table in room, some parts of hotel are out of date.
