I've stayed here many times and usually have a decent experience. This time however, we arrived late 8PM and were given a smoking room even though I told them my allergies were bad and I was sick at the time of check in. They said they were sold out and there was nothing which could be done. They said if we were out of the room for 1/2 and hour they would spray some neutralizer to take the smell away and put in a room inoizer-that never happened. We went up and opened the windows wide and turned on the fan then left. The smell was somewhat better an hour later when we returned but I woke up choking from the stench- even though the window was wide open- at 4:30 AM and was unable to get back to sleep.
Positives: Convenience to the malls in Bellingham. Comfortable beds.
Negatives: Watching the dumpster diver from the hotel window opeing all the bins at the back of the hotel and making excessive noise because we had to sleep with

Pretty standard hotel room 2 beds and a bathroom. It was nice to have a fridge. It was exactly what I would expect from a hotel room, nothing more and nothing less.
Positives: Clean nice hotel. Rooms had fridge, free lotion, and nice accouterments. Hot tub was great.
Negatives: Air conditioning was finicky.

Overall, it was a very nice hotel for the amount we paid. The lobby and breakfast area were very clean and modern and a great place to sit and read. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit. The rooms, overall, were clean with the exception of a dirty coffee maker. Breakfast was better than most that we've encountered in our travels. And it was very-pet friendly, there was even a designated doggie area on the lawn for pup to take care of his business. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in fact I have friends coming to visit in a couple of weeks and I'll probably suggest it to them!
Positives: It was an extremely nice hotel for the price I paid.
Negatives: The coffee machine in the room had a layer of coffee scum that, even after cleaning the filter, still left plain water a brown color.

We enjoyed our stay,, quiet room, friendly staff, it was a good experience overall.
Positives: The staff was friendly and great! The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations room cleanliness was reasonable.
Negatives: Some areas neglected in room, cleanliness and cosmetic upgrades to cover boo boos in the walls etc. Bathroom door inside was filthy.

Check in was a breeze...room clean...pool & hot tub great (after scooping)....staff friendly...and best of all- complimentary breakfast.

Negatives: There was something floating in the hot tub.....but we just scooped it out and went in anyways....

Love your hotel, clean and friendly staff. The convenient location and price makes you perfect...except the thin walls, we had to wake up early and the noisy neighbors kept us awake. I would rather pay more to get the rest that we needed for our travels.

The walls are way to thin in this place. First night was woken up many times from people coming back to their rooms from the bar.
Positives: It was located in a good spot for what I needed to do that weekend.
Negatives: Walls are too thin, noise at all hours of the night from rowdy people.

The rooms are very small and over priced. The bed was so uncomfortable both my partner and I didn't get any sleep. My leg fell asleep just from lying in the bed. My partner had to get a massage for all the aches and pains he endured. We will never stay there again. Good thing - breakfast was good.

Hotel was nice. A little awkward to find. They attempted to fix the billing issue, but rebilled me. Waiting for the credits.

Clean, fairly well maintained. Their response to the no water situation left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively). Breakfast well stocked and fresh.

When I come to Bellingham, this is the only place I stay! The rooms are always quiet, clean and the staff is very friendly. This last time my room was directly across from the laundry room and I didn't even hear it. I'm always very happy with my stay at the holiday inn express in Bellingham.
Positives: Excellent continental breakfast.
Negatives: I always wake up with a semi neck ache. The beds are a little hard.

The hotel was fine. It was very basic, but it was clean and decent. The beds were too hard for me, but perfect for my husband. I would go there again.

The staff at this hotel was great! I can't say enough about them! I would recommend the holiday inn express in Bellingham to anyone! This is the 2nd time Ive stayed there in less then 1 1/2 months and I will always continue to always come back!

The purpose suited us well just a stay over, the rooms were very nice. Beds were great! Each bed had 4 pillows with hardness. Over all good experience.
