I give the Crowne Hotel two stars. The room was not well maintained. Some of the light fixture did not work. Light switches that did not turn lights on or off. Not enough electrical outlets at bedside table or the couch. Outdated room furnishings, decor, and very loud Air Conditioning unit in the room.

Positives: The hotel was easy to find, parking was available. provided more than just the basic toiletries.

Negatives: Outdated, smelled funny, not well maintained rooms.

I love this hotel and wish I could guarantee I'd get it every time I bid on a hotel!

Positives: Very clean and nice.

Negatives: I didn't care for the square bed pillows - I like standard/king sized pillows.

This is a simple, few-frills approach to a hotel. Gym, pool, etc. are nice enough, room is clean, food is OK, but you are there for the Beach or a concert, and it's not too close to either. Still, for the price, it's hard to beat (if your bid is successful).

The hotel was fine, would of been much better except for party, did not separate party from other guests. Noisy to 3 am, several calls to desk.

The hotel has recently been remodeled. The decor was nice and clean, and the staff was very helpful and professional.

Hotel had a great location, close to the town center in Virginia Beach. Convenient, friendly staff, and the only thing I would change is to update the wallpaper, painting. Otherwise my stay was fantastic and I would return back to the Crowne Plaza.

The hotel was clean and convenient to mall and restaurants close by. The staff was very accomodating maybe because there were only a few guess in the hotel during the holidays. Even though this was considered to be an upscale hotel the accommodations were average at best.

Positives: The hotel was very quiet during the holiday season.

This is my second time here in the last two months<BR/>to Virginia Beach and this Crowne Plaza! I love it and Priceline! I did not like my first room, but the staff put me in a the room I truly wanted within minutes, i.e. bigger bed and with a fridge. Great pool, hot tub, restaurant, early morning coffee and everything very clean!

Positives: The Staff was wonderful to us!

Negatives: The elevators were having technical issues while we were there.

The location to all of Virgina Beach was great. The hotel lobby is attractive. Concierge level does not offer breakfast amenities on weekends a disappointment. A large group of teens were on the property and made the common areas unpleasant, particularly when trying to workout. The hotel staff should have been proactive so that the kids were not disruptive to other guests.

Positives: The location was great. Staff was very friendly.

Negatives: Pool was cold; workout room equipment was updated. 18 and older in workout area was not enforced.

The cleaning crew needs to pay more attention to picking up trash and dirt left by previous guests. The staff was friendly but not overly knowledgeable about the area.

Hotel has a wonderful location. 10 minutes to VA Beach and about 20 minutes to Sand bridge Beach. Rooms were comfortable and beds were nice. Bathrooms were a bit dingy, and the front desk service was terrible. They had no idea where things were, how to get to places etc. Rude too.

I loved the hotel decor and the lobby was fantastic. The indoor pool was a plus; It was so hot outside the days we were there.

I would stay at this hotel again. My room was spacious and inviting. The manager, front desk, and dining room staff was very accommodating and friendly. My sister, who is a part of the community surrounding this hotel, was as impressed as I, an out-of-towner. Overall, it was a very good experience for me.

The hotel seemed nice, but then again the hot tub was nested once started and the air conditioner was broken upon arrival. The room was not ready at 3 at check in time. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The buffet was pretty good. Overall it was a decent stay.

This was a terrible experience. The hotel lobby smelled like burned salami, the room smelled like mildew and the food was some of the worst I've ever had. The bathroom was filthy - moldy, dirty floors and looked like it had not been cleaned in between stays. We had already been moved between one room and another because the first had the refrigerator removed and decided to just wipe down everything before we used it. I will never stay in a Crowne Plaza again.

Positives: The location was close to the interstate, restaurants and shops.

Negatives: The room was dirty and smelly. The food in the restaurant was terrible and so overpriced.

Beautiful lobby, cute little bar, room to relax in the lobby outside of the room. Room was upgraded, comfy bed and flat-screen television. Quite as well. No concerns about noise and disturbances. I was very happy. Well lit parking lot.

Positives: Located in busy area, close to everything, 15 minutes from the beach.

Negatives: I had a smoking room and had requested a non-smoking room.

I guess overall the hotel was fine. We were given one of the Executive VIP Suites. However the tray from the previous guest was still outside of the door when my husband and I arrived. When we left for the evening I stopped at the front desk to tell them about the tray of left over food sitting outside our door. When we returned after midnight (7:30pm to 1:30am) the tray was still sitting there. Only at this point it was crawling with ants. There was even a couple in our bathroom sink. At least they had not infested the room.

Positives: It was close to where we were celebrating New Year's Eve.

Negatives: Mold in the shower; you could here what sounded like leaking water from the room above.
