This 180 acre farm has 50 head of resident cattle for your viewing enjoyment. The rolling hay fields provide a private and serene atmosphere. The main farmhouse dates back to circa 1800, and is indeed the "Best of the Blue Ridge". It is nestled up against the Blue Ridge Mountains and will give you spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Cozy and convenient would describe the restored farm house. Elegant country charm defines the furnishings.

This house is about 4,500 sq. ft. will welcome you as family, for the holidays, special occasions, or just to put your feet up and relax for the weekend. A large living room and separate parlor grace the ground floor.

Enjoy your favorite movie or show via satellite, while relaxing by the fire. The new kitchen will serve you well.

Relax on the sun porch all day or night, all season.

The original farmhouse building, a restored log cabin, whispers of days gone by.

This is located on the west lawn and is available for special events. It may serve your guests liquid refreshments or an ice cream parlor for the very young and the young at heart. Directly across from the cabin is a lovely veranda.

Relax and enjoy the peacefull bucolic serenity.

You will feel coddled and serene in our superbly decorated farm house, where attention to your comfort is our specialty.

Bedrooms at Mountain Valley Farm - There are three large bedrooms for our guests.

Two have king size beds, The third will accommodate five. The third room has one double bed and three single beds.
The parlor has a hide-a-bed in the couch.
A full house will sleep 11 visitors.
One full bath on each level.
Linens and towels are provided for your convenience.
Family accommodations blend the old-world charm with modern convenience.
All rooms are air-conditioned.
The furnishings of each room have the comfort of oriental rugs and lace curtains for your privacy.

Blue Ridge Bedroom - A formal room that overlooks the front of the house, with furnishings of 1940's vintage. High back reading chair, desk & king-size bed.

Ellie's Bedroom - The sleeping quarters for the original log cabin portion of the main house. The sloping ceiling reminds you of the colonial architecture, a lovely, bay window overlooks the west lawn. Queen Ann reading chair, old world blanket chest and a king size bed. The original heart pine floor frames the room and tells stories of days gone by.

Family Quarters Bed Room - The largest of the bed rooms, will sleep five. Two single beds, one double bed and a trundle for your littlest one. Hooks and wooden pegs on the walls will keep your Sunday best just that way. Rose satin drapes and oriental rugs will delight your senses.

Log Cabin - The original farmhouse building, a restored log cabin (circa 1800). The sleeping loft (three single beds), whispers of days gone by. To the side of the cabin you will find a garden, shaded by an old black walnut tree which invites one to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
