Stayed in room 619. Room was very nasty curtains had stains on them, bathroom had stains and mildew in tub and walls, chairs had stains on them room smelled in general nasty.

Positives: Nothing

Fairly run down though the beds were very comfortable and front desk staff was helpful.

The hotel was a very nice hotel, and I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel was in a convenient location and was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay there again.

Positives: It had a microwave and fridge.

Negatives: The AC was leaking water and got my stuff wet.

Worn, but adequate. Quiet, safe environment, hot water is hit and miss, bathroom needs to be cleaned (look behind door). Staff is always courteous.

Positives: Safe, easy to deal with.

I was only in Richmond for a day but the one night my fiance and I stayed at this hotel, it was nice. The hotel staff was friendly and willing to help and the room was clean. It was very worth the price!

Positives: Clean and Comfortable

Negatives: No sign at the corner; if you weren't looking for it you would pass it.

I think the commendations were satisfactory. It is a nice hotel for the money.

I got a good price compared to what the asking price was, but it was an awful place to stay. The hotel had a musty smell. And the floor I stayed on reeked of stale cigarettes and mildew. In addition the sink had a broken towel hanger in the sink, I can only assume the cleaners had found it and left it there for repairs. The room temperature was okay, and the a/c worked pretty well. The smell and feel of the room ruined my experience.

The hotel was clean and in good repair. The only thing I felt wasn't of my liking were the pillows (which were very thin) and the blanket (which was inexpensive and scratchy).

I had a great experience with this stay! The price was right and so was the location. The hotel was clean even though they were working on parts of it and the staff was very friendly. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay!

I wanted a "non-smoking room" for race weekend. I arrived at 9 pm. and was given a smoking room with no other rooms available. The elevator had broken corn chips all over the floor which were there for my entire two day stay. My first room had old onion peels between the night table and the bed. The bathroom light was so dim I could not see my face in the mirror. The second floor hallway and my room had a very strong old stale smoke smell. The second night I had a non-smoking room that was much nicer. It had a hair dryer and a coffee pot and adequate lighting. When I checked out Monday morning I was passed by a shy little white man about 35 years old wearing a cowboy hat being led into the up elevator by a strong looking African American woman. A large black man was paying for the room and settled down to read the newspaper in the lobby while he waited for the two going upstairs. It did not appear to be a family friendly environment.

Although the hotel staff was friendly and the hotel itself was located in a convenient location, the room was not very clean and one of the beds seemed to be broken. There was a general condition of the room.
