I will never stay in a Travelodge again after my experience in this motel. The room was filthy and stinky and the other guests were very noisy which kept my kids up all night frightened. The staff was very unfriendly and unwilling to work with me by letting me stay on the first floor with my five kids. It was also very hard to understand the language difference of the motel staff.
Positives: Cheap.
Negatives: The hotel was not clean and the linen was smelly. Also, the room had broken furniture.

When I stepped into the shower the tub actually sank into the floor.
Positives: TV was large for type of hotel.
Negatives: Most everything.

As far as the comfort of this hotel, I would stay again, but I like to small the cleanness of the room when I walk in. But I couldn't see myself paying $70 for this room again. The location was excellent because it is right down the street from my brother-in -law where I go when I am in Newport News. I like to feel the romance in the room when I stay in one. The cleanness and the decorations of a room is what makes a big difference to me when I pay to stay at a room. The price that I pay has to agree with the way that a room looks that makes me want to pay the price that I paid and that room just didn't blend in with what I saw on the computer. That room was more neater, that is what made me to decide to lodge there. I was willing to pay $70 for that stay if that room had looked the way the one did when we saw it on the computer, but $59 is what the room was worth that I stayed in. The was the main thing that I was disappointed in and to see my towels laying on the bed and not hanging on the racks as they should have been. That would give people the impression that the towels had been used as I did. There were a few stains on the carpet and the curtains were total off from the way that the rest of the room were decorated. The border and the spread was beautiful, but the carpet and curtains were a turn off for me. I those things were better, I would be glad to pay the price of $70 and stay again.
Positives: The comfort of the bed, the area that it was in was very convenient for the purpose that we were there and the part that it had a fridge/ microwave.
Negatives: It had just a small odor of unclean carpet and the bathroom was to small.
