Kirkley Hotel

This hotel is very noisy and the rooms are not sound proof. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that you neighbors say or do. It is as they were in the room. The carpets in the room are filthy and very stained. The pool and hot tub is very dirty and not maintained. Chewing gum was stuck all over the side.

Positives: It had a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Negatives: The bedrooms are very noisy. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the next room.

Spacious rooms with great plush towels. Free Wi Fi internet. Located across from mall and restaurants.

Positives: Good location and friendly staff with free internet.

I love this hotel. This is the second time I stayed here through priceline. However, the hallways were extremely warm and they need to update the rooms on the 5th floor. The updates would be wallpaper and carpet. Other than that, it is a wonderful hotel.

Negatives: They need to go ahead and update the 5th floor rooms.

Employees at front desk were very nice, friendly and<BR/>helpful. Morning buffet expensive for selection. Eggs only available if an additional $2. Already too expensive for a basic continental. Staff ignored me and I was the only person in the restaurant. Smoke from downstairs bar lingered up to my floor/room. Fabulous location to my destination of Liberty University.

Positives: Room was very large. Bed was extremely comfortable. Very nice TV and stations.

Negatives: Because of other events going on, parking was difficult.

The Kirkley is well located on a major state route, but situated far enough from the road so traffic noise does not come through. Hotel staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Meals at the restaurant are well priced for the times we live in and the food was good. The room was clean and well appointed with TV, frig and microwave.

Positives: Carla, the desk clerk went out of her way to be helpful..

Negatives: Can't think of anything

Good place to stay in Lynchburg. Close to Liberty and Mall.

Negatives: Third floor is smoking floor it is terrible. Need some type air filtrations.

I was nervous about what to expect; however, this far surpassed my expectations. There were many touches that one expects in superior lodging, and this one had almost all of them.

Positives: Much nicer than expected; upscale mattresses and bedding.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kirkley. The room was nicely decorated and clean. We did wish we could have gotten a King size bed as the double beds were a little small. The one thing that did bother us quite a bit was the cigarette smoke smell in the lobby while waiting to register.

Positives: The room was clean and comfortable.

Negatives: The lobby/foyer smelled strongly of smoke, which bothered us quite a bit.

We wanted to stay near the Lynchburg airport for a very early departure. The hotel was spacious, clean, staff was attentive, jacuzzi was great, the indoor pool was open but small. We wanted a final fun family night before flying in different directions and the Kirkley exceeded expectations. I will seek out Kirley again.

Positives: Down comforters, down pillows, great mattress, jacuzzi, conveniently near airport yet quiet.

Negatives: The great breakfast bar was not included, but worth buying separately.

The hotel was easily accessible, close to shopping/dining, very clean, great staff.

I felt I got more than my money's worth. I would recommend it to anyone and would go there again. My grand children really enjoyed the pool and my mother could not believe how nice the place was.

Positives: The atmosphere was extremely calming and luxurious, enjoyed just walking into the lobby.

Negatives: No free complimentary breakfast.
