Lowry's At Wayside Seafood ( Dining / Seafood ). Located at 420 West Colonial Highway, Hamilton, 2 miles from the center of Lincoln. This site was known first as Wayside Gardens, a coffee and garden shop, then Wayside (a popular beer joint), then fondly as Planet Wayside. We operated our Lowry’s Farm & Seafood Market from August 1998-December 2006, at the east end of Hamilton. We began our move, in July 2006, after Planet Wayside closed in June, 2006. We opened at this location September 22nd, 2007, with an outpouring of community support, as a restaurant after running into zoning issues with the county. Preserving history, we used the oak plank boards on the inside wall made from a hollow oak tree from this site.
