This transitional Classical-Greek Revival frame edifice, was constructed in 1838 by Gray Boulware. A beautiful two story front portico with fluted columns and gable end ornaments the structure. The house reflects the classical revival style with high ceilings, wide heart of pine floors, acorn and oak moldings, and two story front portico. Visit an 18th century apothecary shop and learn about a medicine so strong it would "cheer a man with a bad wife". The ten acre grounds present a fine balance of mature trees, flowering shrubs, pastures, woods, gardens and a pond stocked with bass and sunfish.

The elegant main floor bedroom features a magnificent king size mahogany rice carved 4 poster bed, working fireplace, Empire style antiques and a large private bath. A twin size trundle bed provides additional sleeping options. Just outside, the front portico overlooks the lovely lawn with its ancient shade trees, and border gardens.
The Plantation Kitchen Suite offers two bedrooms, sunny exposures and spacious lodgings perfect for groups of three or more or for the couple who enjoy the luxury of a generous space at the double room price. The suite features a large bedroom with queen size cherry pencil post canopy bed, working fireplace, private bath and entrance. A sitting room with queen sleep sofa, an additional bedroom with double bed and a fully equipped plantation kitchen complete the offering.
Both units provide premium bedding, air conditioning, color satellite TV and radio, CD player, hair dryer, refrigerator, alarm clock and phone. Guests may use the formal parlor for reading, letter writing, or quiet reflection. Complimentary ice, bottled water and soft drinks are furnished. Free wireless Internet access.
