Primrose House and Guest Cottage is an 1870’s Victorian built by G.W Hedrick of the G.W. Hedrick Carriage Co., located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in historic Dayton Va. Just three miles from I-81. Dayton was founded in 1745 when Daniel Harrison settled the area. It is on the Virginia Register and the National Register of Historic Places. The older part of town is largely unchanged. Dayton is home to the oldest Old Order Mennonite Farm Community in the Southern United States

The Primrose House Guest Cottage is unhosted, quiet, cozy and private with French country/shabby chic décor. The cottage has a full kitchen, including dishwasher, cable TV and DVD, queen bed and pull out sofa, private bath with shower, and central air and heat. Continental breakfast served. If you are looking for a quaint place to stay, this is the place.
Enjoy shopping the many stores of the Dayton Farmers Market and the charming shops along Main Street, including nationally recognized tin smith Mike Walsh and Braithwaite Glass Gallery as well as Primrose House Gift Shop. Take the walking tour of the historic area, enjoy the scenery and water fowl at Silver Lake and Silver Lake Mill.
