The hotel was very nicely decorated and the staff was professional and helpful. I felt it was geared more towards adults than children, but it would suit older children very nicely.
Positives: The interior design was excellent.
Negatives: I felt like everything was nickel and dimmed to the point of being absurd.

We will definitely choose the Omni for a return trip to Charlottesville. The location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Very welcoming first impression. Two nice bathrobes are provided. Limited channels on TV. Our room lacked a table for playing a card game or eating a meal. But very nicely furnished otherwise.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable; excellent housekeeping
Negatives: The bathroom was quite small but OK.

Great location with a small mildew bathroom. Nice hotel, but not really living up to the lofty price tag.

Negatives: Small somewhat dingy bathroom.

Great location on pedestrian mall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Although room was clean, it could have been bigger. Overall, my family and I had a very good experience. We would stay at the Omni again.
Positives: Location to pedestrian mall.
Negatives: Confusing entrance.

I was under the impression that there was a Jacuzzi in every room and Italian marble bathroom, which was the only reason I decided to splurge on this hotel. I was not disappointed to find that there was not, nor was there a mini fridge or microwave. We were very stressed when we arrived because we had been driving around the city looking for the hotel for so long and wanted to take a nice bath, when that idea was shot, we decided to go to the pool. The pool turned out to be very small and I was just disappointed. I had a movie premier to attend at 9:30, which the concierge was more than happy to accommodate a taxi. The staff was very helpful, however when we returned late that night, my girlfriend and I were just having a conversation in a normal tone and watching some TV, and security came up and told us to quite down. We were not being loud at all; perhaps the walls need better insulation? I was very upset about this. I should not have to have a certain bed time when I am visiting somewhere and whisper in a room paid good money for there after.
Positives: I thought the lobby was nice.
Negatives: Pool was small, hard to find when driving.

The staff was wonderful. The hotel was right next to the open street mall, (no cars) which was a great way to spend an afternoon perusing the shops, eateries and movie theaters. Our room was very nice, with the most comfortable beds and pillows my wife and I have seen in a long time. The temperature gauge was easy to set to your own taste. Large bathroom, neat and clean with plenty of towels. One thing we could not give a high rating to was the in-room food. We were disappointed by the entrees, and the salads were horrible. Surprising, considering the high quality of everything else. But the desserts were terrific, and the service was too. The only other thing that we found unfortunate about this hotel was the lack of television stations. No HBO, Showtime, etc., nor tcm type of movie channels. So if you're in the mood for a good movie, you are almost forced to use the hotel's in-room movie rental system at $10.95 a pop. Hmmm? Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Charlottesville omni, and would certainly come again. But we will probably eat out.
Positives: Great, firm beds and lots of pillows. Wonderful, helpful staff. Great elevator.
Negatives: For the price, the food leaves much to be desired.

This hotel was very well appointed, clean, and up-scale in all respects. I was very satisfied with all aspects of my stay. I would recommend it highly. It is however, difficult to locate. This is partially due to the confusing streets in Charlottesville, and partially to the fact that the hotel sign is small and the main building is well back from the street. It is definitely worth finding though.
Positives: A great value for the price I paid. Good restaurant and friendly staff.
Negatives: The hotel is difficult to locate.
