After check-in, found lighting problem. Reported and a man came to the room, but could not fix. Second evening coming back to hotel, lighting still not fixed. called front desk, they said was too late at moment. but why not fix it during the day. Third day, you bet, no one coming to fix the lighting.

Positives: Old lady served for breakfast is very helpful and friendly.

The staff were not very friendly, the room smelled musty and had many stains on carpet, plumbing coming out of wall, no towels in room at check-in, fan didn't work in bathroom, no ice in machines, employees did not speak English.

Positives: There were not cockroaches that I could see.

Negatives: It wasn't friendly, not very clean, no ice, many non-English speaking employees, check-in time wasn't honored.

We arrived there and they had lost our reservation, staff was very rude. The shuttle was broken most of our stay and too full for us the rest of the time. Bathroom was gross and leaked everywhere. The streets getting there had potholes larger than some cars. Overall a horrible hotel... at least that made us stay in DC most of the time.

Booked for friend. She will use again if needed. Clean room/bath. Great location.

Positives: I booked the hotel for a friend, and I chased it for the price. However, it ended up being the best place for her because it right off the highway.

Negatives: A big gab between the door, and frame the cold air was blowing in and made the night cold. Big enough for inserts to get in during the summer time.

The room had a bunch of stink bugs. The parking lot was visited by county police officers with lights on several times on a call at night for whatever reasons. The rooms next door had some work being done and had noise going on. I could not sleep much at all. Absolutely two thumbs down.

Positives: Other than price, abosolutely nothing, I'd now pay more not to stay here again.

Negatives: Bugs in the room, noise issues, I could not sleep much at all.

I arrived at 3:20 and my check in time was at 2, but my room was not ready so I came back in 20 minutes and got same answer, offered non smoking room because that was all that was available so I took it. There was 2 wash clothes ONLY, called front desk, they said that they had a hand towel available, so I didn't receive a regular towel until 11 P.M. The electricity did not work either in the room and not one person who worked there offered anything to make up for the horrible stay. Thank God I only needed a room for one day!

Positives: The cleaning crew were more helpful than the hotel staff.

Negatives: Reservations are pointless, staff is not helpful, nothing worked in my room.

The hotel is being repainted, things are being repaired/replaced. Gardens are being well kept. They have a very nice maintenance man always busy, cleaning staff is very nice. We may stay here again next year.

Positives: Maintenance man was very pleasant & helpful.

Negatives: Our first room had no AC, shower plugged, hair dryer stopped work. Entering room without permission.

Cheapest place around. It was a price performer. I would not recommend this for vacationers. The water in the shower banged very loudly, the water knobs did not shut the water off properly. Thew room itself was okay. Clean and fresh although I had a problem with the water. The outside looked very dingy and uncleaned. Trash and dirt all around including the elevator.

Positives: The outside and elevator was so dingy that I was surprise the room was decent.

Negatives: Dingy grounds, filthy elevator banging water pipes.

Sink, Bathtub and toilet should be replaced (I was in room 125). But then again, It's a Days Inn.

After trying this hotel for 1 night, we got up and looked elsewhere. I've never had such a horrible hotel room to stay in. Needed clean sheets and a remote control for TV, coffee?, how about vacuuming the carpet??

Positives: I can't think of anything---it was filthy dirty and unaccommodating!

Negatives: Housekeepers that didn't speak English, non vacuumed, ECT>!!

I was not happy with this hotel, compared to the Days Inn we had in Williamsburg. Little worked (ice machines, air conditioner, ATM, out of orange juice by 8:00 a.m., etc.) and it didn't appear to be maintained. The air conditioner, carpet and bathroom were grungy. The only good thing was its location off the highway, and, through shuttle service, the proximity to the subway system.

Positives: I liked its location in Alexandria and the fact that they had shuttle buses to the subway station. Lifeguard at pool.

Negatives: My room felt grungy, and the first night the broken air conditioner failed in 105F temperatures. Pool too exposed to highway. Inadequate shade at pool.

Disgusting! Check in: 30 minutes wait while rude desk staff chatted on phones. They refused to acknowledge priceline prepayment at first. First night: hair and dirty toilet seat, carpet not vaccuumed, cobwebs, dirty windows, messy towels, nonfunctioning TV, light bulb out, room not cleaned after asking; second night: bathtub did not drain, police activity in room below at 2am. Manager was very apologetic (yet not surprised.) Other guests agreed.

Positives: The motel has plenty of free parking and a pool.

Negatives: The room was offensive, and the deskstaff was rude.

Room dirty. Hangers had to be washed off before I could use them. Towels stained and not sure they were clean. Sheets didn't seem clean. Room smelled.

Overall the hotel was acceptable. The rooms need to be updated and the water heating system was inadequate, however I would stay there again.

We were robbed while we slept in our hotel room - the first night there. Theives broke in and stole money, valuables, and IDs. The Alexandria police department made a report. Due to our loss, we left the next day.

The quality of the room was below what is normal Days Inn standards. The drawer handles were broken, and the tracks were broken so the drawers sat crooked and skewed.The sink faucet/taps were not tightened down and moved around while you tried to turn the water on. The drain cap was broken and had just a stem sticking up out of it.There were burn marks on the tub.One outlet did not work. Therefore, the lights between the beds, the alarm clock, and the phone were not operable.The television had no cable wire or remote control. We had to call the desk and wait almost an hour before maintenance showed up.We were happy with the maid service though, and the location was very convenient for our trips into Washington D.C. and Arlington VA.

The conditions of the hotel is extremly undesirable. For example, the amenities include dirty floor, dirty towels, broken AC/Heater (stays on all the time), no hot water and in a bad area. I thought I will get robbed. The front desk folks are absolutely horrible. Thanks
