This hotel is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the shuttle to the metro is awesome. The front desk clerk who checked us in was not overly friendly, but everyone else treated us great. The concrete balcony could use a little sprucing up, but was still nice. The view from the room was fantastic. Given what we paid through Priceline, I would say that this was a very good deal.
Positives: Outstanding equipment selection in the fitness center.
Negatives: Cost of room Internet service and cost of business center for Internet use.

A very nice hotel. Although Priceline shows it as an "Alexandria" hotel, it is on the very outskirts of Alexandria. Very little in the way of restaurants, nightlife, convenience stores within walking distance. Like any upscale hotel,<BR/>nothing is included. A Super-8 offers free WiFi, but the Hilton does not. Same with parking. No laundry room on the premises. With those negatives noted, this is a beautiful hotel with everything you would expect of a Hilton and Priceline offered a rate that simply can't be beat in the DC area.
Positives: Easy check in. Well established and well run hotel.
Negatives: No free WiFi. No free parking.

Beautiful, very comfortable, appears ideal for mid size business conference with tastefully appointed exhibit- ball room facility.
Positives: Beautiful setting, very convenient to DC and Northern VA ,appears to have up scale dinning, moderate health spa, and interior pool.
Negatives: I was not informed there was as high a rate for parking, this should have been in the description.

The smell was bad, the carpet had lots of stains, there were big spaces with no furniture and no decorations, one furniture that used to have a fridge inside had no fridge inside (except for the door, that's how we could tell) and inside that cabinet, there were holes and a lots of dust. The grout was cracked around the tub and there was also mold.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable.
Negatives: The smell of smoke, the wax found on the floor and the side of the bath, the unfolded towels in the bathroom.

I wasn't impressed with this hotel. For the money they charge, you could stay somewhere nicer. The parking should always be free for guests. Also with all the construction going on, sometimes there isn't enough room to park at the suites. I saw several construction workers lifting the gate and driving in and they have the nerve to charge guests $15.00 dollars. Wouldn't recommend!
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Making guests pay for parking, Lift the gate and park free at the suites. Lol.

Nice hotel. Very clean and the staff was helpful. Old and worn decor.
Positives: This hotel was very clean.
Negatives: The decor was old, and the rug was torn and the phone didn't work.

We were headed to a concert in Washington, DC and the hotel had a shuttle to get us to Metro since we didn't want to drive and park in DC, but after the concert we took Metro back to where we were left off and the shuttle was not available and we had to take a cab. Also, we didn't know we had to pay a parking fee for each day that we were there making it not much of a bargain. However, the room was nice and clean.
Positives: Nice room & workout room.
Negatives: Location was hard to get to - very congested area.

The hotel is a beautiful structure in the neighborhood. The front conceirge and the staff are just pleasant. I have a problem with a 3 1/2 star hotel charging for parking overnight. A charge of 15 dollars for each night gets pricey and seldom included in someone's travels. The parking deck is a a great distance from the lobby. If it would have been valet then I can understand the charge, but for someone that arrives to check-in at 9 pm, and leave before 11 am should not be bothered with the parking charge. Also, if one chooses to pay debit in the hotel, a hold of 50 dollars will be placed on the debit card and it can take up to 10 business days to clear up. The room is a disappointment. The lobby of the hotel and the grounds is up to par for its rating, but the room just looks like another Motel 6, very outdated. For the price I paid for bidding, I could have just gone to a Motel 6 and saved the 15 dollars and would have received the same quality.
Positives: The entrance is pretty.
Negatives: Charge of 15 dollars for parking.

Very nice hotel with clean room and professional staff. Easy access to major highway.
Positives: Professional staff, courteous and polite, room cleanliness.
Negatives: Parking fee.

I would not recommend this hotel to any traveler. The parking was $20 a day, $20 cab ride to Old Town Alexandria and the food at the hotel restaurant was terrible. The rooms were dingy and in disparate need of renovations and maintenance. We switched rooms twice before just giving up. I have stayed in cleaner Motel 6's.
Positives: Shuttle to old town when you could catch it was nice.
Negatives: Needs maintenance and renovations terribly, $20 cab to Old Town. $20 a day parking. Restaurant Food.

Beautiful hotel with stunning decor. Plush rooms with many amenities and a friendly staff. That said, I had to park a 10 minute walk to the rear (handicapped) entrance. Once in the hotel, it is so big it took me forever to get from the lobby to my room. This place is LARGE and to me, poorly laid out. But it was beautiful!
Positives: Spacious room and comfortable beds.
Negatives: Bad parking and too far from lobby to room!

Positives: Classy.
Negatives: Room odor.

We enjoyed our stay and the actual hotel was very nice but we were not as pleased with the actual rooms, the rooms just seemed like they needed updating but they were clean, beds were also a little uncomfortable. LOVED all of the elevators..sometimes hotels don't have enough to support the number of rooms. Never had a problem with waiting with so many elevators.
Positives: The actual building was quite nice.
Negatives: Parking garage and rooms were dated, I hate when you have to pay for parking.

The bathtubs in this hotel look filthy and should be replaced. After waiting at the airport for 30 minutes on the shuttle, I called the hotel and once they contacted the driver, the bus was too full after the Pentagon City pick up; so he went straight back to the hotel. It was freezing outside. Since the airport was his normal route, he should have stopped by to notify us to wait for the next bus inside where it was warm!
Positives: The bartender.
Negatives: Shuttle bus pickup is not consistent.

Hotel was neat and clean, but no continental breakfast. Shuttle service was good but it seemed to be a little far to and from the Marta terminal.
Positives: Clean.
Negatives: Distance from the attractions we visited; no continental breakfast.

Everything was good except the bell hop was rude and the parking garage was tight and cost $9 a day.
Positives: Spacious room.
Negatives: Parking.

The hotel room was not very clean. The daily cleaning was inconsistent. It was great to have a refrigerator in the room, but it did not work properly.
Positives: The front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Negatives: The hotel is very worn looking.

Negatives: Expensive dining.

Definitely a conference hotel, while we thought the price and the room itself were decent, the location was a disappointment.
Positives: We thought the room itself was a nice size with a decent view.
Negatives: So far outside of Old Town. Never would have booked had we known.

Though this hotel was classified in old town Alexandria, it was a distance away from that location. I never stayed at a hotel where parking was an add-on cost. That does not appear to be consistent for none of the other hotels on our trip did the same.
Positives: Staff was friendly and the general location was suitable for our requirements.
Negatives: Maid service lacked in performance forgetting some supplies.

The hotel was comfortable. The shuttle service provided convenient transportation to Nation Airport, metro station and Pentagon City. The hotel lacked free continental breakfast and free Internet access, which was desirable for a family of three on a prolonged vacation.
Positives: The shuttle service was good for vacationers.
Negatives: Internet access was not free.

Great location, a little difficult getting to old town Alexandria, only complaint. Beautiful views, exceptionally clean, wonderful friendly staff.
Positives: Friendly staff, beautiful view, spacious, met every need.
Negatives: Nothing to say.

The annex was rundown and isolated. However, the room was well-maintained and appropriate for the price.
Positives: The location was excellent.
Negatives: Room was in an annex that could only be accessed by confusing tunnels underground or outside at night.

Everyone was very friendly, the service was great. Everything the Hilton stands for.
Positives: Cleanliness, friendliness and the location.
Negatives: I found nothing that could be put in a negative category.

I felt this was a good value for the price we paid. We didn't use most of the features, but did appreciate the very good maid service (plenty of towels and toiletries), timely shuttle to the metro and pickup from the metro back to the hotel. We asked for a quiet room location and did not hear any noise or door slamming in the morning.
Positives: The shuttle to the metro was a nice feature, running on the hour and half hour very promptly.
Negatives: The only breakfast option is the hotel restaurant and it is pretty pricey.
