This hotel was great for our needs, but glad we didn't pay full price. We were there for only about 12 hours as a stop between college visits. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean. However, there was no ice near our room, common areas (i.e. back entrance, vending) looked old and run down and we could smell that someone was smoking nearby. Also, there was no "Holiday Inn" sign on the building - maybe they were doing renovations.
Positives: Great location for our needs; friendly staff.
Negatives: Could smell smoke in our non-smoking room, as if someone was having a cigarette right in our room.

Where do i begin... wi-fi wasn't working, but the front insisted that it was the right PW and repeatedly told me to try again, not very helpful. didn't inform us about the facilities until we asked. of course, no one wants their customers to make every use out of it...
Positives: Nothing
Negatives: Everything, service, attitude of the employees, condition of the room.

This can't really be a Holiday Inn. I've stayed in a Holiday Inn before and it was 100 fold better than this run down dump. I ran the heater on 80 heat, not auto for 3 days straight and there is no way the room ever got past 68-70. The shower was never hot, or if it was it was only for a minute or 2 at most before turning ice cold. The high speed Internet is literally slower than 33.6 dial up from 1992, and the cable TV in the room is 12 channels. Comcast basic cable in the area is like 40. The bathroom fan ran 24/7 loudly, with no way to turn it off, and the beds were both uncomfortable. The staff was either clueless, or did a damn good job pretending to be. Awful place that can/will be reported to Holiday Inn as a horrid place to stay.
Positives: Leaving every morning.
Negatives: I had to come back.

Overall we were pleasantly surprised at the level of the bed comfort. The room was large, we had a king sized bed, microwave and fridge in the room. Air conditioning worked well and we never had a problem with the WiFi. The only negative thing we can say is the bathroom needed upgrading and the housekeeping needed to vacuum the room daily. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay immensely!

Positives: In a surprisingly nice area.
Negatives: Bathroom needs upgrading.

This hotel is slightly run down. We asked for a clean room and they were full due to "leaf peepers". I will never stay there again. The food was tasteless. I believe the health department and the management of holiday inn should fire the entire staff.
Positives: The manager was nice when he reviewed the filthy moldy bathroom.
Negatives: It was moldy, had dirty furniture and a dirty thong left there by someone.

Thought it was a bit overpriced but okay.
Positives: Room was clean pleasant enough.
Negatives: Hallways and lobby didn't have a good smell, We were conderbed as to if the room would be the same.

Very expensive. Price charged not reflective of hotel quality, but popularity of area around Killington. Poor quality breakfast buffet.
Positives: Last minute room availability.

This hotel appears to be very well-run. It's well-maintained. It allows community use of the excellent facilities, which is increasingly rare. We didn't want to leave!
Positives: The excellent fitness facilities, indoor pool, frig, microwave, heating system, room furnishings.
Negatives: No free continental breakfast

Negatives: Hot tub construction. No king beds available.

Noisy heating system prevented me from getting any sleep. Temperature control unit on the wall is not operable. Front desk stuff does not pay attention to what they are doing. Access to the rooms is through a swimming pool and then through the maze of staircases. We had to change one room because of a very bad smell in it. Additional services, like wake up calls are not available due to the fact that room service phone number is constantly busy and cannot be accessed. Overpriced food at the bar with very poor service.
Positives: N/A
Negatives: N/A

The staff was very attentive and the hotel itself offered everything we needed.
Positives: The hotel was clean and the staff, attentive. It was also convenient to shopping and restaurants.
Negatives: The AC was either too cold or not effective enough and the shower pressure was low.

Overall, a nice hotel. Location is right off the expressway. Rooms are ok, not spectacular. Nice exercise room and pool.
Positives: Good location
Negatives: Staff not aware how to process room

Wait staff was unkempt (hair, clothing) eyebrow rings by waitress was inappropriate for any Holiday Inn labeled hotel. Very slow and inattentive both days of our morning breakfast in the dining room.Front desk staff appeared to be an upgrade, but I'm not sure why. Who runs this place?
Positives: Bedding was fine, Room was clean, Presentation was ok.
Negatives: Uses Kilington association, but is not located between Rutland/Kilington
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 31 May 2005 rated 4 out of 10.
I needed to be in Killington for a conference, and this hotel was 30-45 minutes away by car. Rutland and Killington are not right next to each other, and they should not count as one location. There were motels very near my conference location that were much less expensive, which was particularly frustrating since the Holliday Inn was motel quality -- no hot water for my shower in the morning, not very clean bathroom, phones on lockdown, etc.
Positives: Friendly staff
Negatives: No hot water, nonsmoking room smelled strongly of smoke.
