Located in historic Brookfield, famous for its Floating Bridge, this is rural, scenic, historic Vermont at its best.Surrounded by dirt roads and 10 acres of private forest; cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing (BYO) are available on the property, as well as boating and fishing (BYO) with the canoe provided at water's edge. Horse and carriage, or horse and sleigh rides available by reservation across the road; 8 miles north of Exit #4, I-89, 19 miles south of Montpelier, Vermont, 5 miles north of Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center, 8 miles south of Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont. Very kid-friendly.Fully heated by oil-burning furnace, as well as gas fireplace.
